I stood with eyes closed at the mouth of the creek, a tiny trickle starting it all.

Brown feathers expanded above, circling in the dewy sunrise as its tendrils of light reached across the horizon.

A turtle was unfolding its limbs, blinking into consciousness. By mid-morning it would labor onto a warm, wooden branch that breached the water, and was equally eager for the heat of the day.

I captured the perfumery of petrichor, drawing it into my lungs, making it mine, giving it power to draw out the pink aura of love in my soul.

I let it swirl inside my being, felt it circle my heart, searching for the life force of All until a warm glow of acknowledgment lit me up from the inside out.

I quivered in excitement, wanting to share my joy with the Earth and all its inhabitants.

I let the raw knowing, love, peace! churn and drop, moving from my heart slowly to my feet, an explosion of gratitude and blessings racing into the water, spreading throughout the crystal-colored droplets, which slowly formed a living channel, one that like the roots of a tree, would open and expand into the forest beyond, giving nourishment to all God's creation.
