Chapter 13 - Sora,Orihime and more
London, Inoue Appartment,
Inoue Orihime was in all aspects a kind girl and if one were to look at it from a different perspective she was an Idiot,most of the time.
But still she had a side very few knew about, her determination.No one knew this better than her brother Inoue Sora.Once Sora was infected with a minor curse during a backlash and had to stay home pretending to be sick with fever and cough.
Unfortunately, there was a thief eyeing their newly purchased property, thanks to them being foreigners, and had choosen to break in after learning of Sora's sickness somehow.
What happened next was like a fairy tail when a frail Hero tries to protect his ill sister but life was not a fairytale.
The robber seemed to be in a especially bad mood and had a gun as well. If it were normal conditions he would have not put up much of a fight and let the thief steal as he didn't want to use magic and show Orihime that side of the world.
(A/N:He is unable to move his body well enough to fight, especially a guy with a gun and can't defeat him without magic)
But as luck would have it the robber was a pervert of highest degree, and his intentions toward Orihime were so clear, even her, a child was shaking in fear. Unable to control his surging anger, Sora did what any big brother would do, and melted the sick bastard, with his "Basilisk's Breath" spell, right down to the bones.
As if Murphy's Law chose him today, his sister was traumatized with the sight of what bad taken place.
And when he tried to erase that day's memories, he learnt that she was a natural Occlumens.
That had been the most stressing month of his life, not only did he have to come clean to Orihime but also had to suffer from the afraid/wary look she would have in her eyes when looking at him.She also had regular nightmare,he could hear her but not do anything since she slept with her door locked.
Thankfully though, everything seemingly returned back to normal, he didn't know if she suppressed those memories or overcame them but he was happy nonetheless and decided to teach her Barrier and Healing magic which she excelled in even more than him, a genius of the century,that's how good she was. If only-
"Let's go nii-chan" he was suddenly brought out of his reminiscence by the voice of his little sister.
Shanking his head,Sora check over himself to see if everything was right,today was their flight from London back to Japan.
Despite all the bad memories of his parents, Japan was much happier place for Orihime who had many friends there and didn't remember the abuse.
"Come on! What are you waiting for?! Noel is almost at the airport!!Hurry up Nii-chan!!"
"Coming!!!" Hurriedly fixing his hair one last time,Sora left his room and started locking the house down as he won't be here for the foreseeable future.
LONDON AIRPORT,
As they reached the waiting area of the Airport they felt a fierce glare on them. Looking towards the direction which it came from they were greeted by the sight of their cousin Noel Nihashi.
Noel is a tall, curvaceous teenage girl with blue eyes, waist-length black hair, long bangs, a perpetually solemn expression, and a small, white, horn-like extension on her left temple.
Despite her eternal solem/bored expression, her eyes were clearly angry and agitated. The very eyes, which she inherited from her mother, their mother's sister, due to whom they were able to survive after escaping their parents. Alas,She was in London and couldn't provide anything other than emotional support and financial support. But she did help them come to London and settle down.
"Ahemm" Noel cleared her throat getting their full attention " Where were you guys?!?!" Noel hissed.
"You are barely on time, 5 mins before boarding starts!!! What pray tell me was so important that we almost missed our flight!?!"
".....meep......"
Sora didn't know what to say and just awkwardly chuckled and Orihime seemed to collapse into herself and become a mini her.
He couldn't just tell her, who was unaware of the supernatural, that he was fighting a small stray devil army till 4 am in the morning and woke up late, could he? He doubted she even knew what a stray devil was.
If it wasn't for the fact she was also going with them, he would have cancelled and rescheduled their flight .......but family.
Thankfully,the world saved him from answering and diging his own grave.
The flight#@-₹-₹:₹-@+. From London to Japan will now start boarding. Please form a line. I repeat. The flight.....
Noel just gave Sora a look and took(almost dragged) Orihime to the already forming line. Sora also followed. Looking at the duo they seemed to be chatting already forgetting what had just happened.
Girls, understanding them was even more difficult than improving an already perfect magic.
?????, Unknown Area,
"What the fuck were you doing?!?! Do you even know how much effort it took to create stray devil slaves, especially those who are able to distinguish between enemy and allies?!?! Now because of your faliure , I had to prepond so so many of my plans??!!"
A voice thundered across the darkness, scaring the shit out of the sole man standing in the center of what looked like a cave formation.
" b..b..but......" the man wanted to speak but the voice cut him off.
"No Excuses!I want a thorough report on what went wrong and ..."
"W.wait.." The figure blurted out in panic
"Looks like you need to be re-educated" The voice spoke with a surprisingly monotone voice as an overwhelming feeling of oppression filled the entire cavern.
The figure hurriedly knelt on the ground
" I..I apologise.... It's all that dammed Serpent's fault ..... If...if it weren't for him we would have definitely succeeded"
The oppressive feeling paused for a second before withdrawing completely.
" Did you just say Serpent?" The voice asked though it was difficult to make out any feeling in it.
The figure sighed in relief before hastily continuing " Yes! Yes!! The very same! Mephistos's Pet!" The figure kept frantically nodding as if confirming it multiple times would please the voice.
A soft sigh sounded followed by a crunching noise as the figure was slowly and painfully turned into a meat ball with flesh skin and bones protruding from any and every where of the ball.
"You idiot. Mephisto isn't one to let any one of his enemies escape and even that Serpent isn't such a fool, despite working for that traitor. Looks like this place is a bust as well."
" Just you wait... After I am done with these pretenders and take my rightful throne....you will be next ,Traitor Mephisto, and even your favourite disciple.. Serpent....unless he swears loyalty to me"
Back on the Plane.
Orihime had the window seat and Noel sat next to her, whereas Sora sat a few rows back, unfortunately he had to switch his seat with Noel.
"Hey Noel... What do you think you will do first? It's your first time in Japan, right?"
"Hmm....I don't know much. I guess I will rest and after settling,check out our new highschool? Will you come?"
"Ofcourse!!It's fate we both chose the same school, don't you think?!"
"Meh... I don't know about Fate and all that crap"Noel said only to see Orihime pout and quickly rectified "Well if you believe that, there must be something then."
"Awesome!!"Orihime cheered earning a few looks from other passengers
"Sigh*....What are you excited to see then? Or Maybe Who?" Noel asked suggestively
"Sputter* W.what.... I don't know what you are talking about."
Seeing this Noel felt her confidence grow and decided to mess a little more with her friend.
" Oh, really? I guess you moved on from your Kurosaki-kun?"
(' M...my... Kurosaki-kun?!!!' Orihime.exe has stopped working)
"W...what are y.. you saying? How do you even know about him?" Orihime soft yelled at her
"Hmmm....Guess you don't know what you blurt out while on Phone?" Noel teased
"W..what... d.did.. I say?" Orihime asked turning redder than Tomato
"Well, forget about it." Noel easily dismissed her" Anyway, maybe you will see him at school?"
Orihime was about to demand answers when this new topic hit her from the side.
"Noel! How can you forget? Kuoh academy is an all girl school?"
" Duh... How can I forget when My mom kept complaining about how good a school it is and how dangerous it was to travel alone ? If it weren't for you two going back,she would have sent me to South Braxton and kept complaining still." Noel held back an urge to groan and continued "Anyways, don't you know why the cutoff was increased so much this year? It's because they are going co-ed route from now on and wanted to weed off perverts"
" Ohhhhhhh..... I see. But the selection is already done."
"So what? You can always ask him to change schools next year."
Orihime turned red once again.

A/N: FIrst of all I would like to tell everyone we are reaching the starting point of DXD canon soon, 2-3 chapters only. Then I woudnt have to create so many scenes myself as I rather put more Pride in improving and adapting already existing material.
Secondly, I kept the flashback brief for 2 reasons:
1) I dont want to bore you all
2) I believe such blanks are better filled by the readers themselves.
