"clem can u come here quick" iris shouted through her bedroom door as she was sat on her bed with her laptop open.
"hi whats up" clem said as she opened iris' door and walked in to sit on the opposite side of the bed
"i wanna show u a song from the album" iris said whilst grinning at her bestfriend knowing she is probably about to cry at this song
"okayyy why are u looking at me like that im scared" she said laughing as she moved to sit next to ri so she could see the laptop
"it may or may not be about u and i cry everytime i listen so just be warned u may cry" iris replied warning the girl
"u wrote a song about me" clem turned to the girl already feeling a lump in her throat at the thought
"yeahhhh" iris said whilst getting up the demo of the song which wasnt really a demo anymore considering she had already finished making it but it was the only way she could listen before the album came out on streaming platforms.
iris clicked play on the song and immediately looked at clem who was looking at the laptop trying to contain her emotions

Felt really empty and everything changed
We reunited, it felt just the same
clem had given up trying not to cry and there were now tears streaming down her face, iris had now moved to sit next to the girl and wrapping and arm around her shoulders before laying her head on clems shoulder as they both cried and stared at the computer screen that was showing the song
as that verse came out through the laptop speakers iris thought back to the time in high school where they had a falling out over something stupid and didnt talk for two weeks both girls can agree that the two weeks were the worst weeks of high school

"iris" clem immediately said after the song had faded out. clem turned to her bestfriend before wrapping hr in the biggest hug ever "i love u so bad" she said as she continued to cry into iris' neck
"i love u too clem" iris said softly smiling at how her and her bestfriend would never not be bestfriends no matter what
