LIZZIE'S POV

For three days she completely ignores me and this worries me as well as displeasing me.
I called Cassie and she keeps telling me that y/n doesn't want to talk to me and what worries me even more is the risk of her not eating again.
I know that it doesn't take much for her to fall into bad habits and that's why i have to find a way to talk with her.
I decide to organize something cute, so i call MK to get help and while she'll take care of preparing everything, i'll go and talk to y/n.
"Yes sis don't worry, think about making it up to your girlfriend" she says on the phone
"She's not my girlfriend yet" I point out
"Well when is either of you going to get off your ass and propose?"
she's not entirely wrong actually, even if i'd like to ask her once the semester is over, so i can yell to the whole world that she's my girlfriend.
I get dressed and then I head to her apartment, but first I'm going to buy a bouquet of flowers for her.
Lizzie's look:
I enter the building and before heading in front of her door i decide to go to Tessa.
It's been a while since i've seen her and especially Julian and i think he can be of great help to make what i'm organizing for y/n even nicer.
"Lizzie hi, what are you doing he-"
"Lizzieeee!" Tessa doesn't have time to greet me that a little Julian runs into my arms.
"Hi little one, i missed you so much" i say messing his hair and giving him a kiss on it
"I missed you too" he says in his small voice.
"What are you doing here?" Tessa asks again as i take Julian in my arms and cuddle him.
It's so sweet when he hugs me and rests his head on my shoulder relaxing.
"Uhm actually i came to make it up to y/n, I messed up a bit with her and i wanted to ask you for help" i explain, Julian raises his head and looks at me.
"You have to stop fighting" he points out and i smile at his statement.
"You're right little one, but sometimes when you love a person so much you end up doing mess, what matter is to fix everything" i explain rubbing the tips of our noses and making him laugh.
"Don't worry, Lizzie, we'll help you, you know i'd do anything for you two" Tessa says and smiles back. We bonded so much during the time y/n was in the hospital and she became a dear friend and i'm happy with how we can help each other.
So i explain my plan to both of them and Julian seems really excited about it.
Once everything is explained, i head to the door of y/n.
Cassie had written to me saying she had a class and that y/n was alone in the apartment, so after taking a deep breath i knock on the door.
Shortly after i hear footsteps on the other side.
"Who is?" she asks, her voice sounding so tired.
"It's me babe" i tell her and after that she doesnt answer but i can hear her heavy breathing from here. "Honey please open" i beg her
"Go away Lizzie, i don't want to talk right now," she says, her tone is cold
"Please, i 'm only here for you. i miss you, i want to hug you, i can't stay away from you" i confess, for a while i only hear her breathing but soon after she opens the door and i find her in front of me.
She's hidden in a hoodie bigger than her, her hair messed up and her eyes glowing as if she's just finished crying.
It breaks my heart to see her like this.
"Hey" i take a step towards her but she backs away without even meeting my eyes.
"Uhm i brought you these, i know how much you like flowers so uhm-yeah here you go" i say scratching my head, i hand them to her but she remains quiete standing in front of me.
"Hey please talk to me" i whisper kindly
"I have nothing to tell you Lizzie" she says
"Honey please, i know i was wrong but-"
"Jez Lizzie stop it ok! Pick what's yours and leave!" she yells at me but i promised myself not to give up on her easily, i won't run away from her anymore as i did before at the first difficulty.
Loving someone also means being there in difficult times.
"Fine" i answer putting down the flowers and then approach her and pick up her.
"W-what are you doing?" she asks shocked
"Well you tell me to pick what it's mine and you're mine" i explain
"Liz...put me down please" this time her voice is more relaxed, so i decide to put her down, but i hug her hips and bring her close to me and luckily she lets me touch her.
She shakes her head and a bright smile appears on her beautiful face.
"You're really an idiot" she comments and i smile back.
She wraps her arms around my neck and looks me straight in the eyes biting her lip
"But at least i made you smile" i point out
"How could i not? You're the only thing that makes me truly happy" my heart melts at her words
"I'm sorry babe, i'm so sorry for the way i've been acting, maybe i'm a little jealous towards you i admit, but i don't want this to hurt you, i want my love to be safety for you-"
"I'm not sad about this Lizzie" she interrupts and i look at her confused
"Really? i mean, i thought you were still mad at me, you didn't answer my messages and calls and i was pretty worried" i explain.
"I mean yes i was a little angry because you didn't trust me and didn't leave time to explain but i know you didn't do it with bad intentions" she lowers her head taking her gaze away from mine
"So why are you sad? Please tell me, i'm here for you" i place two fingers under her chin and lift it up so she can look at me.
"I-i don't know, i think i let myself be influenced too much by Becky's words" she confesses and a slight anger grows inside me towards that girl, but i have to remain calm.
"What did she tell you?" i ask her
"She was flirting with me just to be more popular, after my accident everyone talked about me in college and she only wanted to be with me for that, not because she really cared. I know i should give a damn because i don't care about her and i have you, but those words just reminded me that nobody really wants me, everyone uses me and, well, i-"
"You think i don't really love you, right?" I complete her sentence and she thinks about it for a moment
"I don't know, i mean if you didn't love me you wouldn't be with me right? It's just- i don't know, i think it-"
"Hey look at me" i stroke her cheek and look into her eyes
"You just answered yourself, i would have no reason to be with you if I didn't really love you, but luckily or unluckily for you, i love you so much okay? And i don't want the words of some insignificant people to affect you negatively"
"I'm sorry for being like this, for always creating problems between us, sometimes my head doesn't work properly" she lowers her gaze again, but i take her head in my hands and then leave a kiss on the tip of her nose.
"What did i tell you about not always having to feel like apologizing? You have to feel free to be as you are with me babe, never be afraid of it because i love you as you are, even in the most difficult moments like this" i explain and left her a another kiss, this time on the head.
She closes her eyes and relaxes into my touch.
"Even if they always make you believe otherwise, and even if in the first place you always believed you're not, you are enough honey.
You're enough, much more than enough.
You're doing well like this, really though, not so much to say.
You're not ugly, you're not useless, you're not inferior, you're not a failure, you're not wrong.
you're enough okay? You're pretty, you're smart, you're art, you're rare.
You deserve love, especially from yourself.
Learn to forgive yourself and talk to yourself with love because you deserve it" i tell her those words with all the honest love i feel for her, she looks at me with eyes full of tears and without even realizing it i find her lips moistened by salty tears on mine.
I kiss her with a lot of love, but above all with a great desire to protect her from everything that tries to hurt her.
"I love you Lizzie, i love you so much" she whisper and i smile
"I love you too" i hug her tightly
We hug for a while, having her close to me makes me feel so good, so at home.
"A little better? i ask and she looks at me nodding "Yes, i think so"
"So now come with me, you need to cheer yourself up"
"Wait but i'm a mess-"
"No you are beautiful as you are my love and anyway we are just going to find a perfect outfit for what I have organized for you" i interrupt her and grab her hand dragging her with me out of her apartment.
"Liz where-what i mean what have you prepared?" she asks me a little scared.
"Oh it's a little surprise, but we need something comfortable to wear, now don't ask any more questions and come with me" i tell her, she shakes her head but decides to follow me.
During the car ride i see her a bit lost in thought as she looks out the window, i know she has so many problems in her head about her looks or not being enough and Becky's words weren't helpful, but only another disappointment.
Today i want to make her feel beautiful and special.
Let's go into my trusted boutique, we're safe here and no one will see us.
"Catherine hi" i greet the owner, a dear old friend "Oh Lizzie how nice to see you again" she comes to hug me
"How can i help you?" she asks me
"Well here's me and-" i stop for a moment hesitating about how to introduce her y/n, but then i give a damn and tell her the truth
"Me and my girlfriend are looking for something comfortable to wear for tonight" i admit, Catherine looks at me confused but doesn't seem bothered "Sorry it's just-i thought you and Robbie-"
"It's over between us, i was no longer happy and instead now i've found my happiness with her again" I say pointing to y/n, she looks at me smiling
"Of course i understand, what's really matter is that you are happy Lizzie, no one is here to judge you" replies my friend
"Thanks Cat, i'd just beg you not to tell anyone, you know rumors gets around fast and i'd like to be the one to tell when the time will be right" i explain and she nods
"Don't worry Lizzie, you can trust me, now how about if we find something for you two girls? Where are you going tonight?" she questions, i lean into her ear and whisper where am i going to take y/n tonight, my friend smirk at my answer
"Oh perfect, let's see what i can do for you, let's start with you Liz since i know your tastes" i nod and then go to follow her, but y/n takes my arm
"What?" i ask her
"You have to stop doing this" she says but i tilt my head confused
"To do what?"
"Telling people you know that i'm your girlfriend, you make me smile like an idiot every time you do it and it embarrasses me" she admits not holding back her smile, i approach her face and leave a kiss on her lips
"Then if my girlfriend is an idiot, i'm an idiot madly in love with another idiot" i whisper
"Now that i've told you that it embarrasses me, you'll do it even more, won't you?"
"Of course, you know how i enjoy teasing you" i giggle
"But i remind you that i'm not your girlfriend" she points out
"Not yet" i answer and then i take her hand and take her with me.
After trying on a couple of dresses i finally find the right one for me.
It's gorgeous and colorful and it's perfect for tonight.
Lizzie's outfit:
"What do you think?" i ask to y/n who doesn't take her eyes off me for a moment
"Well that you're-that you're beautiful- yes you're uhm you're-" she stammers
"Do you need some water honey?" i tease her
"Fuck you" she replies and i laugh
"Let's find something for you now"
After touring the boutique for a while, i offer her what i have found for her
"Okay so here's my selection for you, what do you think?" i ask her, she looks at the clothes in amazement
"All of those?"
"Yeah, all of those, and if you need something else, you can try them on too" i tell her
"Oh well I don't think there will be any need, they are gorgeous Lizzie" she comments and i smile "Perfect, then go try them on" i take her with me to the dressing room and while i wait for her outside she tries on the clothes.
When she comes out with her first dress i keep from laughing, not because it looks bad on her but because maybe it's not her style.
"What?" she asks laughing too
"Sorry honey but that's horrible" i comment and we both laugh.
The second outfit looked great on her and showed off all her curves, but it wasn't to her taste.
"You're pretty hot" i comment taking her hand and spinning her around
"I want to try the other one first" she says and then i nod, waiting for her in front of the mirror.
A little later she comes out and fuck yeah, this is perfect.
This time it's me who can't take my eyes off her.
Her exposed chest sends me out of control.
Your outfit:
"What?" she asks smiling
"I shake my head in disenchantment and look into her eyes
"It's-it's perfect, you look very beatiful babe" i reply, she looks in the mirror satisfied and i look at her completely lost in her beauty
"I like it" she says
"You like it?" I ask and she nods, so i take her hand and we go to buy it
"Cat we're taking this one"
"Liz..." Y/n calls me
"Yes honey?"
"Uhm look, it's too expensive i don't want that you-"
"Hey look at me" i say
"It's not a problem, i'm doing it because i want to and because you're really gorgeous right now, so don't worry and admire yourself in all your beauty" i leave a kiss on her cheek and she looks at me with puppy eyes
"Fine and thank you" she replies and then lets me pay as she goes to look in the mirror.
When i turn to her i see her admiring herself and it's so nice to see her sure of herself.
I walk up to her and hug her from behind and leave a kiss on her shoulder.
"You're gorgeous" i whisper in her ear and brush my lips against her earlobe.
"We're not bad together" she comments, then she turns her gaze towards me and our eyes lock into each other.
Tension builds in the air, we are so eager and hungry for each other.
"I want you so bad now, i want ti drag you into the dressing room and make you mine" i whisper and she shivers
"Mmm be good Liz, we are not bad customers" "Then i'll have to wait" i reply with a smirk.
