The time was now six o'clock in the evening and we were getting ready to leave to go back to my place. Hyunjin was packing his bags as he was sleeping over mine this time, and I was also packing my bags because well, I'm going back to mine. Anyways, Hyunjin's family dressed like formally but casual formally for dinner, like just a normal eating out outfit if you know what I mean.
"You ready?" I asked him as I zipped up my bag. I was the only one not dressed in dinner-worthy clothes. I had on joggers and an oversized t-shirt with a flannel over it. But since I was going back home I could just change there.
"Yeah." he replied so we headed downstairs where we waited for the rest of Hyunjin's family to be ready to leave. I texted on my family group chat saying that we'd be leaving soon. Just then, Hyunjin's mum and dad came down the stairs.
"Okay, were only waiting for Yeji." his dad said to himself.
"Yeji-ah, hurry up please!" their mum yelled.
"Sorry, coming now!" she yelled back and came rushing down the stairs.
"Okay, who wants to go with y/n and who wants to come with me?" their dad asked.
"I'll go with y/n." Hyunjin and Yeji said.
"Haha, okay. I'm guessing you're coming with me?" their dad asked their mum.
"Yup." she replied.
"Okay let's go. You lead the way y/n." he told me.
We exited the house and got into the cars. Yeji managed to call shotgun before her brother so she got to sit at the front next to me while Hyunjin unfortunately had to sit in the back. He sat it the middle with crossed arms and a sulky face.
"Aigoo, is Hyunjinie sulking?" I asked playfully, looking at him through the mirror.
"Am not!" he said cutely. Me and his sister just giggled at him.
Anyways, a couple minutes pass and we arrive at my place so we get out the car and I open the front door.
"Hey everyooonnee" I said as I got into the house "come in guys." I said to the Hwangs.
My mum came and greeted us. "Oh hello guys. Nice to meet you uh-"
"Hwang Jiho. Nice to meet you." Hyunjin's mum said. His dad followed by introducing himself too and also shaking hands with my parents who also introduced themselves.
"Hwang Namgil." his dad said.
"Lee Doyun." my mum said.
"Lee Beomseok." my dad said.
"I'm Hyunjin."
"I'm Yeji, nice to meet you." they all shook hands and stepped inside our house.
"What did you cook, I'm starving." abeonim asked my parents.
"It smells really good." eomeonim added on as her children agreed.
"Well we thought what better to have than Korean barbeque when there's going to be nine of us?"
She showed us to our dining table which was pulled out so that there were more places to sit and there was almost no free space on the table because there was soooo much food. There was meat, side dishes, sauces, you name it. But one thing was true, it looked absolutely delicious. I could of sworn I was even drooling just by looking at it.
And may I add on, my parents' Korean barbeque ain't like any other so I can hardly wait to dig in.
"Oh my God, our parents make the best Korean barbeque aswell." Felix said, quite literally reading my mind. Me and Chae agreed and they all took a seat while I remembered that I still have to change into different clothes so I excused myself and got that done as quickly as I could so that I didn't have to keep them waiting too long.
"Sorry guys, I'm back now." I said, panting.
"Well, now that we're all here, dig in everyone!" my mum said and then everyone reached for something on the table. All you could see was a bunch of hands searching for their desired food.
The nine of us had a conversation, getting to know eachother better. And when we were all done with the food, unsurprisingly, everything disappeared. Everything. We were all full as hell and then my mum said "I prepared dessert but it looks like it's gonna have to wait."
Everyone widened their eyes and Felix asked her "how did you think we'd be able to eat dessert after so much Korean barbeque?!"
My mum just threw her head back and we continued the conversation. Anyways, we all thanked my parents for the delicious food they'd made.
Two hours pass and Hyunjin's family leave, leaving him here as he was obviously sleeping over. I showed him to my room and we took his stuff there.
"Your room is really cool." he says to me.
"Thanks. But yours is way cooler because your amazing drawings are all up on your wall." I say back.
"Hehe, thanks."
"Oh my Gosh! I've been wanting to do this for a while because I haven't done it in ages and I really wanna do it with you; do you wanna bake a cake tomorrow?" I asked him excitedly.
"Yeah sure. What cake are we making?" he asked.
Well, what about carrot cake? But like we put a twist to it?"
"Like what? Should we like make it into a two-tier cake or what?"
"YEAH" I replied, getting even more excited.
"Haha, okay let's do it!" he said and we high fived.
"But for today, I think we should.. make s'mores."
"YES- but wait, how?" I got confused.
"With candles. I've done it before, it works pretty well." he said.
"Alright. And we'll play... chess. We'll do this in the garden, I feel like it would be nice to do it there."
"Yeah, I think so too. Okay let's shower first and then go to the convenience store to get marshmallows, chocolate, biscuits, tealight candles, and what do you say we get a little beer?" he suggested.
"I'm down. Oh and we have lots of tealights at home so no need to get any of those."
"Oh okay." he said.
"Okay you can shower here, I'll shower in one of my family's bathrooms." I said and then we both grabbed our pajamas and headed straight for the bathrooms. Well I was gonna go to my sister's bathroom but I decided on the way that I'd ask Felix if he has a onesie Hyunjin could borrow and since Chaeryeong's room is closer, I went in there first to ask her if she wanted anything from the convenience store.
"Hey sis, want anything from the convenience store?" I asked her while standing by her open door holding my pyjamas and a towel (I put a onesie on in my room afterwards).
"Um no not for now, thanks."
"Okay."
I then yelled downstairs to check if my parents wanted anything but they didn't either. I then went to Felix's room.
"Hey Lix. Want anything from the convenience store?" I asked him by his door which was also open.
"Yeah can you get me a tuna mayo onigiri please? I'm craving it now that you mentioned convenience store, haha." he said.
"Okay sure. And uh, do you have a onesie Hyunjin could borrow?"
"Yeah I should do." he said walking over to his wardobe as I followed closely behind.
He pulled out a grey onesie with rabbit ears and a slightly lighter shade of grey for the belly.
"Thanks but could you just like place it somewhere for now because I have one more question."
"Go on."
"Can I use your shower? Hyunjin's using my one right now and we wanna do something afterwards."
"Sure you can use it. What'cha doing?" he asked me.
"Well we're going to the convenience store then we're making s'mores."
"With what?" he asked, getting justbasconfused as I did.
"Tealights."
"Okay, fair enough. Welp you have fun then." he said to me.
I then went into his bathroom and tried to shower as quickly as possible. When I was finished I put my hair in a messy bun and went back into Felix's room and thanked him for letting me use his bathroom. He said 'your welcome' and so I took the onesie which was on his bed and headed back to my room.
"Hey. So I asked my family if they want anything from the convenience store and only my brother does; he wants a tuna mayo onigiri. Also here's a onesie." I said, tossing it into my bed.
"Thanks." he said as I was putting my towel, hairbrush and skincare stuff back in my bathroom. I then took out a onesie of my own from my wardrobe and put it on.
"We need to take a mirror selfie." Hyunjin said. I went over to him and put my arm around his waist and did a piece sign with the other hand. He put his arm around my shoulder and took the mirror selfie with the other hand with the flash on. He took a couple of us posing differently and even making weird faces in a few. Anyways after that, we headed downstairs and let my parents know we'd be going to the convenience store.
"Okay honey, be safe you two." my dad said.
"We will abeonim." Hyunjin said to him.
"Byeee." I said, then everyone else said bye and then me and Hyunjin left the house.
We were goofing around a LOT on the short walk to the convenience store. We were having a lot of fun and even the very few people we walked by at 8:30pm gave us a strange look.
"The world is such a small place. How come I met a guy on holiday and find out that he lives so close to me and I'd never seen him in my life?"
"I know right, it's crazy. But you know what?"
"What?"
"I don't regret a thing. If we hadn't of bumped into eachother that day, I don't think we'd of met at all. So I'm super glad we did." he said with a warm smile on his face.
"Yeah, me too. Oppa you look so cute in that onesie." I said, not being able to help bringing it up. I made him giggle and he then said "okay but no one can look as adorable as you in that onesie. As a matter of fact no one can look as adorable as you just in general."
His words made me blush and so I covered my face.
"In fact..." he started to run ahead and I got confused but eventually he stopped and pulled out his phone.
Ah I see he wants to take pictures of me. I do several different poses for him and he then waits for me to catch up and shows me the photos as we laugh at them.
"Aaahhh so cute!" he said as we finished looking through them.
Anyways we arrived at the convenience store within about five minutes. We went in and politely greeted the cashier.
We bought all the stuff we needed including my brother's onigiri and then headed back home in which we were acting pretty goofy on the way back too. Once we arrived back at my house, I told Hyunjin to go outside into my garden and get everything out while I go and give my brother his onigiri. When I went back downstairs Hyunjin reminded me that we're gonna need the tealights. I went over to the shelf that had lots of different sorts of stuff on it and got four tealights and also a lighter. I finally went outside and placed the tealights on the glass table.
My garden was a not very big yet not too small place with a tree in the corner and a barbeque in another corner. There is a round glass table with an umbrella which was relatively close to the sliding glass doors. There were six chairs stacked by the barbeque and Hyunjin had already put out two of them at the table for us to sit on. Yeah our garden was nothing luxurious but we loved it because it was quite nice and cosy.
Anyways, Hyunjin and I made ourselves comfortable in the cozy chairs and I lit the tealights as he passed me a beer and also got one for himself.
"Cheers" we said to eachother and then took the first sip.
"Oh yeah, lemme go get skewers from the kitchen to put the marshmallows onto." I said and jumped out of my seat, jogging to the kitchen and then back with a couple sticks in my hand. I placed them on the table and we each took one along with a marshmallow to roast on top of the flames of the tealights.
We enjoyed our night outside and has an intense game of chess which literally hurt our brains so we stopped after only one game but it was still really enjoyable. After being outside for two hours, we went back inside and up to my room, eventually going to sleep within about another two hours.
