matt was still at ri's apartment he had woken up after ri who was sat on her phone posting the announcement for her new single
"hi ri" matt said waking up, it was now 1pm but none of them cared considering they were both people who wake up later in the day. he looked at her and smiled "hi did u sleep good" she said as she put her phone down from replying to comments to look at him
"yeah i wouldve figured because its an airbnb the bed would be uncomfortable but it was good" he said softly still half asleep
iris didnt say anything but just laid back down figuring she could just reply to more comments later
she laid back in the position she woke up in before moving closer to matt who put his arms around her like he had the night before when they both fell asleep
"i gotta go and film the video later do u wanna come with me, its like a weird food combination thing" matt asked not wanting to move in that moment but knowing he would need too soon
"sure" iris replied simply before sighing as they took a minute of silence to take in the peacefulness
they chilled in iris' room for most of the day, they played mario kart which surprisingly matt won a game which made iris cheer for him jokingly, only really leaving her room to get the subway they got delivered for lunch. they got up and got ready for the day well evening considering it was now 7pm. iris was wearing a white cropped shirt with white mid rise baggy jeans and a pink checkered cardigan. As ri left matt in her room to put his shoes on she entered the kitchen grabbing a snack figuring it would hold her over until she gets to matts to eat dinner properly, figuring they would probably just order something.
she walked past the living room to go towards the front door when she saw clem sat on the sofa eating her dinner with lia watching a show on the tv "oh hey ri can u come here" clem said as she saw ri walk past. "yeah whats up" iris said smiling at clem "i just wanted to say im sorry for not being there last night i love u and i feel bad i shouldve been there" she said as she placed her bowl on the coffee table walking up to hug iris
"clem its not ur fault it happened and i feel better today, i love you so much" iris said as she squeezed the girl tight making shre her words get across so she wouldnt feel guilty
the girls separated as matt came down the hallway, "hey clem" he said as he moved to hug the girl being polite as always "hi matt" she responded just as politely "are u ready to go ri" he asked iris turning his attention away from clem and towards iris "yeah i just gotta put my shoes on" as she turned around to grab her pink converse that were sat by the front door
"oh where are u guys going" clem asked figuring she might aswell make conversation whilst iris puts her shoes on
"to my house to film a video, do yall wanna come with us" matt said looking at clem and moving his eyes towards lia who was sat on the sofa extending the invite to the both of them
"oh fun, im good i dont feel too good today so im probably just gonna spend the rest of the night on that sofa" she said smiling back as iris tied her last shoe and got up grabbing her phone and bag from the floor where she put them whilst she was putting on her shoes
"i went to the gym earlier so im exhausted and im gonna facetime indy in a minute so i think im just gonna stay here aswell, but u guys have fun" lia said whilst simultaneously looking between matt and to the messages between her and her girlfriend who planned on facetiming in a minute smiling genuinely towards them
"okay, ill text u when im on my way home" iris said hugging clem and then quickly running into the living room to hug lia who of course returned the hug "bye" lia said "bye lia" iris replied before moving to open the front door with matt following behind her

"the first combination were doing today is toast with butter and sprinkles" nick said introducing the first thing they will try. iris was currently just sat on the couch scrolling through instagram minding her business. she had taken off her cardigan and swapped it for a hoodie that matt had offered her so of course she took it
the three of them grabbed a piece of toast before grabbing the butter and spreading it on each piece. chris was the first to grab the sprinkles and covering his toast in pink sprinkles "wow your light on the sprinkles arent ya" matt said looking at chris' toast that only had a light covering of sprinkles before grabbing the pink sprinkles himself only putting it on half of the toast waiting for nick to be done so he can put blue on the other half
they all bit into it not really having a reaction to it considering it is just toast with sprinkles "i just realised we deadass just ate toast the only weird thing about it was the sprinkles part" nick said laughing talking to chris as matt stood there still figuring out if he liked it or not
"im just confused" matt said not having a set opinion on the food combination "how do u feel about it matt" nick asked turning to the boy "eh its mid" he replied not hating it but not loving it
"can i try" iris said as she overheard what they were speaking about before getting curious and looking over from where she was sat on the couch
"sure" matt said looking from his piece of toast towards the girl who was now walking around the sofa and stood beside matt as she got in frame
matt handed her the toast as all three boys looked at her waiting for her reaction as she bit into the toast
"wait this is so good" she said as she finished her first mouthful as she laughed with all three of the boys laughing along with her
"take it to the couch" matt said letting the girl take his piece of toast not really caring considering he was done with it anyways
"dont get sprinkles on the couch" chris said whilst smirking knowing the girl would say something back "im not five chris" she replied sassily as chris laughed which then made iris laugh
they had now done a few other food combinations and they were now moving onto the hot sauce with popcorn. again ri was still sat on the sofa minding her own business not wanting to take away from their video
"next one is popcorn and hot sauce, i dont like hot sauce so i dont know where this is gonna go for me" nick said as he poured the hot sauce into a reusable bowl
iris gasped from the sofa turning around to see what they were doing, her ears perking up at the words hot sauce. the triplets looked at iris with brows furrowing wondering why she gasped and suddenly turned around
"i love hot sauce can i try" she said feeling bad about interrupting their video but loving hot sauce
"yeah sure" nick replied smiling towards the girl
"u like hot sauce" matt asked not knowing it about the girl "yeah its like my number one condiment" she said whilst walking round to the three of them who had now dipped a piece of popcorn into the hot sauce and were ready to try
"u guys try it first ill try to after" she said stood next tot he camera not wanting to be in shot for that moment
the triplets ate the popcorn which ended up in nick and matt running to the sink to spit it out and chris pulling a face
"that is disgusting. like worst thing ive ever eaten im serious" nick said gagging at the flavour
matt walked around the table towards iris who was still stood out of frame and gave her the bowls so she could try. "wait let me pour it on" she said figuring it might taste better rather than dipping it in.
she poured it on as nick and chris watched from the opposite side of the table
she picked up a piece that had the hot sauce on and ate it "oh my god" she said whilst smiling after she swallowed
"THATS SO GOOD HOW DO NONE OF U LIKE THAT WTF" she said looking at the triplets bewildered at how they didnt like that
"this is my new go to snack" she continued as all three boys laughed at her as she walked over the the dining table seat that was off camera to eat it not trusting herself on the white couch even if she had just told chris 15 minutes prior that she wasnt a five year old
nick and chris looked at her like she was the craziest person ever whilst matt just looked at her with adoration which is something he finds himself doing more and more
it was now 15 minutes later and the boys had 6 more foods to try and iris was now asleep on the sofa. one thing about iris styles is the second she starts to feel tired shes out like a light. she could fall asleep anywhere anytime and the fact that she was so warm with matts jumper on and under a blanket didnt help so she figured she would have a 30 minute nap until the boys finished their video
"if yall hear someone breathing like a literal lion its iris shes fallen asleep" chris said looking at the camera and then to the girl who was asleep on the sofa
"hey" matt said sternly looking at his brother with his eyebrows furrowed
"what" chris replied
"dont be rude" matt said defending the girl who was defenceless due to her being asleep
"okay kid" chris smiled feeling a little bad but they all moved kn anyways not taking notice of it and knowing iris wouldnt really care but matt just felt bad considering she wasnt awake
they finished up the video after trying a few more combinations. the video ended and nick cleaned the kitchen up as chris said he was going to take a shower before walking downstairs to his bedroom. matt helped nick put away all the food, before walking over to the couch and sitting next to iris' head and his hand automatically going to her hair as he played with it, using his other hand to pull out his phone figuring he had time to chill as nick had also gone up to his room to start editing the video
