MK P.O.V
After the curse formed, it looked like an ink version of me. It looked at me with a grin and started talking to me
"What's the matter, guy?" The Ink version of me asked
"I-It's nothing. I just..."
"Yeah, I get it man. You wanna get back to our Monster of the Week Adventures? To get back to our simple missions with Mei, mastering all of Monkey King's powers, delivering noodles for Pigsy and figuring out a way on how to get Sakura's attention. Right?" Inky version of me said
"Yeah. Yeah, actually! That's exactly what I wanna-" Then the inky version of me cut me off
"But we can't" He knocked over the stone and a creak was formed "Not after what we've seen. All we know and all we don't know. Right, friend?" He asked as he jumped in the spot where the stone was
"No, you're not my friend. You're not me!" I said as I summoned my staff
"Sure I am. I'm your best friend" The ink version of me stand up on the rock alter "Well, closest at least. I know more about you than you even admit. To yourself or to others" I took a step back as he jumped down and appeared behind me "Hey now, where are you going, guy?"
I jumped back away from him
"You're not real. You're just the curse of the scroll trying to get all inside my head! Just like-!"
"The Lady Bone Demon?" I felt a shiver run up my spine as I remembered the battle against her "Tell me, what do you think we are? Honestly, I've been dying to hear us say it. Out loud"
"What kind of question is that?! I'm just... I'm just MK, okay. Noodle delivery guy with powers of the Monkey King. No biggie" I said and inky version of me appeared in front of me
"Oh! You mean these powers?" He asked as he swept under my legs and punched my stomach and sending me flying
Sakura P.O.V
We've been teleporting to different locations in the scroll and we haven't found MK yet
'Where on earth is he? I hope he's okay' I thought to myself feeling worried
Then Uncle Tang teleported us to what looks like a farm, and I looked down and noticed we just ruined the farmer's produce
"Ugh! He's not here either! Tangy! Get your head in the game!" Mei shouted
"Mei, be nice to Uncle Tang! He's trying his best!" I shouted at her, then we heard the farmer's cry
"Aaaah! My Bok Choy! Welp, there goes the winter rations" She said as she picked up her shovel and starts digging "Guess I better get grave diggin' for me and my folks"
"We're terribly sorry for what we did to your crops, but we're looking for our friend" I said
"Yeah, and I also lost my cheat sheet, so we don't know where we are and I'm starting to freak out pretty hard, and these guys are desensitized to my breakdowns, so I need a reaction. For the love of the Great Sage, I need a reaction!" Uncle Tang said as he shook the farm woman back and forth
"Tang! Would you pull yourself together?!" Uncle Pigsy said
"Maybe this should help, I've seen Konohana's older siblings do this all the time to the general when he gets like this" Iris walked towards Uncle Tang and slapped his face
"Thank you, Iris. I needed that" Uncle Tang said as he rubbed his cheek "I'm sorry for freaking out like that. I just have no idea what's going on and-"
"Tangy, we're right there with you, old friend. But right now, we need to find MK and Monkey King. We gotta hold it together until then" Uncle Sandy said as Mei handed Uncle Tang his khakkara
Uncle Tang smiled as he calmed down, he was about to teleport us again, but then the farmer woman said something
"Oh, you mean Sun Wukong? The Great Sage Equal to Heaven?" The farmer woman asked, surprising us
"You mean you've seen him?!" Mei asked as she rushed over to her
"Y-Yeah, I've seen him. He done made a mess of the whole air round my geese stable" The farmer woman said
"Uh... Geese stable?" Uncle Pigsy asked and we saw the geese stable
"Ay-yarp. See, I always been sayin' why come horses get themselves a fancy stable, but the geese don't?" The farmer woman started explaining and Uncle Tang noticed something
"Guys, look at this!" Uncle Tang pointed at the golden glow and we went to investigate
We looked behind the the geese stable and saw was looked like golden seal but creaked
"You think Monkey King made this?" Mei asked
"No, Wukong didn't make that. If Wukong was able to do that then he would've easily freed himself" Iris said
"Iris has a point, but the question is, what did?" I asked and my bad feeling started rising
MK P.O.V
I was fighting the inky version of myself as he had the same powers, but his power is stronger than mine
"Seriously?" Ink version of me tried hitting me with his inky staff, but I dodged the attack "You still think we're just some..." Then created clones of himself and lunged at me "Noodle delivery guy? You can't remember where we came from, and we got all this power and you never once thought, why us?" Inky version of me said as I defeated all of the inky clones but he grabbed hold of the staff "What are we?! What is our purpose?!" Then threw me towards a mountain and the staff crushed me and destroyed part of the mountain
"Of course I thought about it! I mean, maybe! I was gonna thought about it. I just... I just wanna be me. To be MK" I said and inky version of me flew towards me and landed behind me
"Yeah, well, we all know exactly where that leads. Don't we?"
"To pain" The Lady Bone Demon's voice echoed, and I started fighting again. I tried hitting with my staff, but he either blocks or dodge the attack. He even attacked me with the staff, I managed to get the staff back. I tried hitting him again with the staff, but he blocks the attacks with his arms and punched me back
"We help people. I mean I help people. It's what I do" I said as the inky version of me changed from an eagle to gorilla and sent me flying again
"Are you sure about that? Last I checked, all of this happened because of us. We said it ourselves. We released the Demon Bull King from the Underworld" His form changed into DBK "We gave Spider Queen the means to dominate the city" Then changed into Spider Queen "And we gave the Lady Bone Demon the opportunity to wreak havoc on the world" His form changed into the Lady Bone Demon, and I noticed his size grew double when he changed into those other forms, and it scared the living out of me!
"Aaaaahhh! This is gonna haunt my nightmares forever!"
"We're just like Wukong. A fraud, a trickster, destructive. Why would our legacy be any different? Actually, no, no. The chaos and destruction..." Then I noticed my body started to flicker, but I shrugged it thinking it was nothing "That we'll bring upon the world will make Wukong's past look like nothing. Shifu Subodhi said it himself, right?"
"No. No, you're wrong! I-I'm not-!"
"Not what? Some monkey demon thing destined to bring chaos upon the world? Come on! Use your words, big brain boy. Say it! What are we?" He asked
Then my body started flickering again, showing my monkey features
"Stop!" I shouted and my voice echoed
No One P.O.V With Sakura's group
"Stop!" Sakura and everyone heard MK's voice echo through the sky
"MK? That's MK!" Mei said and the sky started creaking more
With Wukong
"Stop!" Wukong heard MK's voice
"Kid!" Wukong started running towards the voice
With MK and Inky MK
"Ha ha ha! Yeah, boi! Oh, that's what I'm taking about! You can't escape it. This thing, whatever you are, embrace it!" MK dropped his staff to the ground as he holds his head "Embrace your destiny!" Inky MK said and MK continued to hold his head in pain
"Kid!" MK let go his head for a moment as he heard a voice echoing
Then the golden creaks grew larger, and bursting through was Sun Wukong. He saw MK holding his head in pain as his body was flickering from his normal appearance to his monkey appearance. Wukong rushes towards his staff, grabs it, jumps up and hit the giant ink monster, making it splatter
"MK!" Wukong called out to MK
"Monkey King?" MK turned to look at Wukong feeling relieved to finally found him, but his body started flickering again and gust of wind pushed Wukong away and created a crater
"I'm sorry I made you wait so long, bud. B-But it's fine. You like you're doing... fine" Wukong said
"I don't know what's happening to me" MK said as his body continued flickering
"We can figure it out after this" Then Wukong saw the ink starting to form again "But we got to deal with the now first" Wukong said as the ink became a giant ink monster made out of the parts of DBK, Spider Queen, and Lady Bone Demon
"Hey, nice of you to join us, bud. You know, none of this would happen without you, right?" Inky MK said
"Yeah! And us too!" Mei's voice echoed through the sky, and they bust through the creaks and landed near Wukong and MK "Without us, you wouldn't be able to stop this thing. That's what you were saying right?" Mei asked
"Not really, but I like the energy" Wukong said and notices Iris "Iris..."
"We'll talk after this, okay?" Iris said
"The curse! Is it just me or is it way scarier than it was before?" Tang asked while shivering
"How did Azure say to defeat this thing again?" Pigsy asked and Wukong looked at Pigsy with a surprised look
"Azure... Lion?" Wukong said
"Say goodbye!" Inky MK said as he separates the group from MK, Wukong and Iris
"Wait, no! Hold on!" Mei shouted and they are separated from MK, Wukong and Iris
"Where'd they go?" Tang asked while still shaking
"Such pitiful creatures. Cowardly. Reckless, Monstrosities!" Then inky versions of Sha Wujing, Tang Sangzang, Zhu Bajie, and Ao Lie in his dragon form appears and surrounds the group
With Iris
"Sakura? Where did you go?" Iris asked
"Well, well, well" Iris flinched, she turned around and saw her evil half once again
"Huh? How are you here? You went back inside my body" Iris said
"Oh, poor sweet Iris" Her evil half walked towards her "You tried so hard to endure all that pain, but you can never truly move on, can you?"
"What would you...? Stop... Stop it!" Iris tries to punch her evil, but it moves to the side
"People have hurt you. Haven't they?" The evil half said as she grabs Iris's wrist
"They didn't believe in you" Evil Iris changed forms into the man that bought her from her father "They didn't trust you" Then changes into the gypsy "Didn't need you. Left you" Evil Iris changed into Macaque. Iris fell on the ground "But did you ever stop to think, maybe they're not the problem? It's you. You drive them away, Iris" The last form was Konohana
"Why are you doing this?" Iris asked, and the form changed back into her evil half
"Because... we both know we'll never truly move on unless we get rid of the one thing that stands in our way" Evil Iris said as she created an inky version of Sakura and cuts her in half
"No... No! I won't hurt her! You can't make me!" Iris shouted and her evil half laughs
With Wukong
"MK? Where are you?" Wukong called out, and an inky version of himself appeared behind him
"All doomed to play a role in tearing this world apart. To cease to nothing but chaos and destruction" The inky demon said
"Enough! I've never let anyone dictate my destiny in the past, and I'm not about to start now. None of us are! We can't change who we were yesterday, or in the past life, or a hundred lifetimes ago!" Wukong said
With Iris
"We live with the choices we've made. But what matters is the choice we make right now! Only we decide who we are and what we do with the power we have! No destiny will change or control our choices!" Iris shouted
"Nice hero speech" Iris's evil changed into Inky MK "But I know better. Deep in your hearts, you don't believe a word of that" Inky MK said
With Wukong
His surroundings turned into a golden glow and Ao Lie walked passed him while touching his shoulder
"Yeah, well, we're pretty good at fakin' it til we makin' it, so you better takin' it, son!" Mei said as she pointed her sword at the inky version of Ao Lie's dragon form
Next, the great monk Tang Sangzang patted his shoulder
"Yeah! I might be a coward, but we've faced scarier monsters than you!" Tang shouted
Then, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing as they stood next to Wukong
"Everyone is free to make the choices whether its good or bad, we learn from our mistakes to better ourselves!" Sakura shouted, and finally Konohana appeared hugging both Wukong and Iris. Iris regained her strength and appeared next to the group again
"I won't let some curse bully me or my friends a second longer!" Wukong shouted as he raises his staff and hits the ground and a spell circle appeared. Everyone lifted up their weapons to free themselves from the illusion that the curse created. With the power they are using, the cursed turned back to its original form of inky version of MK and the power held it down. Inky MK turned to look at MK
"You can see it, can't you? This is your fate. Your friends will turn on you, betray you, seeing you for the monster you will become. They will destroy you, harbinger of chaos. It's just like the Lady Bone Demon said, despite the efforts all you'll ever do is cause pain and suffering" Inky MK said
"Stop talking!" MK shouted as his body continued to flicker and showing the monkey features again as he stood up "Get out of my head!" MK jumped into the air, but this time his body in no longer flickering. His monkey form stayed as he went in to finish the curse off
"Then prove us wrong" The curse said its final word as MK defeated the curse
Everyone covered their eyes from the golden light, and they saw MK had defeated the curse. Everyone rushed towards MK's side and his body started flickering again and he's no longer have the monkey features anymore. Then suddenly the ground started shaking and creaks with cyan-blue colors appeared in the creaks
"Uh... Now will be a good time to get out of here!" Pigsy said
"But how?" Mei asked
And in the creaks, Azure Lion stepped out. Sakura was happy to him and glad he came to help them. She was about to walk towards him, but Tang, Mei, Iris and Wukong blocked her path
Wukong glared at Azure Lion
"You" Wukong said, and Azure Lion sighed
"Me" Then he snaps his fingers and pillars of light hit the ground. Everyone were engulfed in the light, and next thing they know is that they are no longer inside the scroll
"Monkey King?" MK looked around for him, but he's nowhere to be seen "W-Where are we?" MK asked and everyone minus MK and Sakura were in their battle stance at Azure Lion
"Azure Lion?" Sakura called his name
"Where's Monkey King?" MK asked, but Azure Lion didn't answer. He tightly held the scroll in his hand as his eyes glowed purple as he looked at the group
