Midoriya clicked his tongue, a bit annoyed.
Hawks noticed, "what's up?"
He asked while securing some people to a rope.
"This plan won't work the way we intend it to?"
"Oh?
Why do you say that?"
"Well.
The whole point of the camp is to train us.
They won't go easy on us on the first day, and it's not like getting through the camp site will be as simple as a hike.
Pixie bob's quirk allows her to manipulate the ground.
So it's likely she already has things set up to prevent us from just walking or flying through it to get to the other side"
Midoriya explained.
Hawks put his hand to his chin,"well then I have a simple solution"
He said, with a eureka cheer.
All eyes landed on him inquisitively.
"I'll just have to fly faster and higher than what the clay mud can reach."
He said.
"technically that works but only if you're flying fast or high enough that the others won't be taken while you escape.
Regardless, getting through won't be as easy as we want it to be"
Midoriya replied.
"it'll be fineee"
"besides if they get injured it'd be better for me"
Hawks smiled, brushing off Midoriya's statement.
Midoriya held back a grin, hearing Hawks's thought loud and clear.
"Alright then"
He replied, going along with Hawks's brash plan.
"Great, now let's get started"
Uraraka went around and made the 4 float, they were secured by a rope to Hawks's waist.
Midoriya flew higher off the ground watching Tokoyami do the same with a bit of struggle.
"Let's go!"
Hawks cheered, sending himself and the 4 tied to him straight into the sky.
They were lucky to have braced themselves or else they would've faced whiplash.
They flew high up into the air, so high up that they looked tiny.
Hawks then proceeded to dive down, dragging all of them down behind him.
They all screamed, bracing onto the rope and holding on tight. Mud
Monsters launched themselves off the ground and into the air, however not one managed to grab Hawks or the 4 he dragged along before he could make it to the base of the mountain.
"Now wasn't that fun?"
Hawks cheered, landing with the four of them.
They stared at Hawks with their terrified faces, still floating off the ground as Uraraka had yet to release them.
"I n-never thought I would e-ever go that fast..."
Kaminari said, wobbly at the knees.
Midoriya landed swiftly beside them, watching as his classmates wobbled in the air, waiting for Uraraka to drop them so they could touch the sweet ground.
Hawks zipped back and shortly after they all fell onto the ground.
"I have never once been more grateful for gravity"
Toga cried, hugging the ground.
More screaming could be heard as Hawks came in with another batch.
It progressed until everyone had "safely" made it to the mountain base.
"Hawks was quite cruel. He definitely knew he didn't have to fly up that high or that fast.
The mud monsters can't go too high up."
Midoriya thought to himself, holding back a chuckle at Hawks's antics.
"Now what?"
Sero asked, standing around idoly.
"Well we need to wait for eraserhead, pixie bob, and Mandalay to make it over before we do anything.
So I guess for now you could all introduce yourselves to me"
Hawks replied.
The class went around and introduced themselves to Hawks, stating their names and quirk.
Hawks took note of all their names and committed any details he learned to memory.
"They'd all be easy to kill.
But I guess Optic doesn't want to have that happen, he needs them to be kidnapped for further damage.
But he did say I could do whatever as long as I didn't get caught...
So on the night of the attack, I could always kill one or two"
Hawks thought to himself, smiling brightly at the class.
"Huh??
How are you all here already??"
Pixie bob shouted, walking in dragging all of their stuff in a large cart alongside eraserhead and Mandalay.
Hawks slowly began to exit the scene but before he could Pixie bob figured it out.
"Hawks...
I said that the forest was a part of the training exercise!"
She yelled, launching some mud at him.
Hawks dodged, "yeah but you never specified whether or not they had to walk through the forest.
I picked the most efficient method. "
"what's with all the commotion"
An unknown voice from the teacher's cabin said.
Everyone turned around and found Edgeshot, who seemed to be just waking up from a nap, walking out and securing his mask.
"Edgeshot is here too?!"
Some of the class screamed, staring starstruck.
"Oh I forgot you were here"
Hawks said, shrugging his shoulders and putting his hands into his pockets.
"Did Hawks interrupt their training?"
Edgeshot asked, pointing at him in an accusatorial manner.
"Don't make it sound like I did something wrong-"
Hawks interceded, but he was cut off.
"You did do something wrong!
This was supposed to be day one of their training!"
Pixie bob sighed.
"it's okay Pixiebob, how about this.
Everyone.
Go inside your cabins and set everything up.
After that, come back out and begin your training in the forest.
Don't come back until sunset.
You'll have food waiting for you, but today's the only day where this applies.
Tomorrow and for the rest of the week you'll have to make your own food.
Get a good exercise in, the future generation depends on it"
Mandalay said, earning some low groans from the class.
"That works.
Alright everyone, follow Mandalay's instructions!"
The class grabbed their stuff and went to their cabins, they set up where they'd sleep and after taking their sweet ole time they came right back outside.
Midoriya slowly began to walk off, facing the forest.
In the distance, he saw edgeshot and Hawks. They were conversing secretly amongst each other.
Midoriya flew up and discreetly flew tree to tree, avoiding being heard or seen.
He landed on a branch, his back pressed up against the trunk of the tree.
He was hidden by the thick and dense leaves as he stood right above both of them.
He was able to hear exactly what they were saying.
"Kill the students?"
Edgeshot repeated in question.
"Yes.
On the night of the attack I'm going to kill some students.
I'm telling you this so you know what to do."
Hawks replied.
Edgeshot sighed, "why are you killing them exactly? I know you'll kill people for whatever reason nowadays but you should at least have a reason if you're gonna kill some of these students"
"some of them pose a threat to Optic's operation and plans. Like momo Yaoyorozu.
She demonstrated some high level intelligence and her quirk allows her to make any tool she'll need.
And there's also the fact that killing some of them will for sure make UA close down.
This whole plan is to ensure UA is closed down forever. "
Hawks replied.
"whatever. I'll make sure to cover up for any mistakes you may make. If there are any.
And I'll prevent any potential mistakes.
You know what to do, don't get caught, do it in secre-"
"yeah yeah we go over the same protocol every time.
I'm going to go observe the students and figure out how to kill them"
"see you later then. "
Edgeshot walked away as Hawks took off.
both of them went in the opposite direction.
"...hm...
An issue may arise.
They don't know Kaminari and Toga are traitors.
If Hawks goes to kill either one of them, things could get messy.
Hawks is skilled in stealth kills, if he catches Kaminari off guard he'll definitely die.
But on the offhand, if Kaminari notices Hawks he might kill him or get him caught...
I'll have to message Hawks and inform him that Kaminari and Toga are a part of the "to be kidnapped" list so he doesn't go out and kill them. "
Midoriya thought to himself, pulling out his burner phone and messaging Hawks.
" Hello Hawks.
The week of camp has arrived.
There's some additional information I find necessary to provide.
There is a list of students to be kidnapped.
These students are to not be killed if you are to decide to kill any.
The list-
Shoto Todoroki
Denki Kaminari
Himiko Toga
And
Katsuki Bakugo
Everyone else is free game"
He said, sending the message and putting the burner phone away.
He jumped down from the tree after confirming that both edgeshot and Hawks were far away.
Midoriya sighed, "this is gonna be a long 3 days..."
He pulled out his daggers and got to training.
He knew not to overexert himself, he'd need to keep himself from getting sore.
He destroyed the mud monsters one by one, working up a bit of a sweat and getting a bit dirty in the process.
After his tenth kill, he got tired and slowed down the pace.
He walked around the forest, in the distance he could hear his classmates also getting their kills on the mud monsters in.
As he walked around, he felt a sudden pair of eyes land on him.
It took self control to keep from directly looking up, and so he looked up by pausing in his step and pretending to check his palms for something.
In that moment, he opened up his eyes on his palms and looked straight up.
He found Hawks, perched on a high branch, peering down at Midoriya.
"Well I am a part of the class. It would be odd if he didn't spy on me like everyone else"
Midoriya thought to himself, shrugging it off as he knew he wasn't in any real danger.
He continued on his walk, avoiding the monsters and relaxing.
He already looked dirty enough that he could claim to have been fighting the whole time without question.
Hawks had already flown off after observing him for 10 minutes anyway.
Eventually, sunset came.
The class returned to the cabins, meagerly.
The training had made them so exhausted that they could barely drag themselves over.
They found a cafeteria of food waiting for them upon return.
Everyone rushed in and grabbed a seat and plate for themselves, eating to their hearts content.
Many of them felt as if they hadn't eaten in years, the fresh taste of food on their tongues was enough to make them scarf some more down.
It didn't take long for all the food to be gone and down into the abyss of their stomachs.
Midoriya was one of the first to finish, though he didn't scarf his food down like the rest of his classmates.
He ate at his usual reasonable pace (which was ridiculously fast compared to the average human) and quietly exited the cafeteria cabin.
He returned to his cabin and took a well needed shower.
After the hassle, he sent himself off to sleep.
Though, his mind could only wander off to wonder how the events of Wednesday would play out.

The class woke up abruptly the following morning.
"GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!"
Mandalay shouted through a plus speaker, as if the loud speaker wouldn't have amplified her voice enough.
The class was startled out of their sleep, many of them rushed to go back to sleep, not wanting to start their days so early in the morning. The Sun had barely peaked over the horizon.
"Everyone get up and get dressed!
We have a day of training ahead of us!
Whoever isn't out in the next 5 minutes will be on extra training and cleaning duty!
So get up!"
Mandalay shouted some more.
The class groggily got up and prepared.
They stood outside uniformly, half awake.
The only person who hadn't been so tired was Midoriya.
Having been the one to sleep the earliest he found himself up the earliest as well.
It helped that he regularly got up at 5 in the morning to prepare for his day.
"Perfect!
Now let's get started."
