Hey guys here's another update for you all. I know the updates pattern is all messed up but bear with me since it's was the Holy month and I got barely got time to write..
***
Shah Zain's POV (Edited)

It was merely two days after me and Shiza got into an argument. When I left the room that night, I didn't come back. I went on a drive to clear out my mind and to get some fresh air. My thoughts were clouded and I was having difficulty in chosing between right and wrong. My mind was in a haze and I couldn't pin point to anything.

I came late at night almost near morning. I carefully entered not wanting to wake her up. Relieving in sigh when I saw that she was out asleep. I made my way inside the bathroom and changed into my night dress. I came out and took out my spot on the bed and dozed off to sleep. At morning, when I woke up, she was not in the room.

This goes on to two more days.

Right now, I was getting ready for office. She was again not in the room. I didn't let it wander on my mind and took my time in getting dressed. I chose to wear a dark grey colored tuxedo with white crisp shirt underneath. I styled my hairs before making my way downstairs. As I reached the dining area, baba's voice greeted me

"Zain, beta ao."

(Zain, dear come)

He was in cheery mood. That's a little unusual. I smiled at him before taking my seat. Baba sighed and stated

"How's work going on, son?"

I answered not understanding his sudden need to ask me

"It's going great, dad. But why you're asking?"

He looked at me before saying

"Why? Can't I ask?"

I shook my head before answering

"Of course, you can ask."

He smiled and resumed reading the paper. Soon, the dining area filled. Aaban and Salar made their way and sat down. Aaban looked like he was high on drugs because there were bags under his eyes and his eyes looked swollen too. Mama's worried voice reached my ears

"Aaban, beta. Ye kia halat banai hui ha apni."

(Aaban, look at your condition, what happened?)

Aaban sighed before answering

"Ask your son."

Mama and baba's head flipped towards me and I leaned back in shock. I turned to Aaban before asking him

"How am I included in it?"

He groaned before answering himself

"He gave ton of work to me and asked me to complete it till Monday. How am I supposed to get sleep then?"

His voice held accusation. I rolled my eyes before muttering idiot under my breath. Kinza then joked

"That's why Zain bhai is CEO and you're not."

She snickered at the end and Aaban feigned hurt before muttering

"You just slashed my heart with those harsh words."

Kinza rolled her eyes before smacking his head making him gasp. Their banter continued but my eyes searched for Shiza. Where is she? Another thing to notice is that dado is also not present? I turned to baba and he probably noticed my frowned eyebrow so he answered

"Ammi has went to take a stroll. She already had her breakfast early as she has little work to do. Shiza accompanied her."

I nodded at the piece of information before starting to eat my breakfast.
***

I was done eating my breakfast. I stood up from my place. Baba and Chachu had already gone. Aaban and Salar also stood up seeing me. Mama smiled and stood up to blew verses on us. As she did it, she spoke rather angrily

"It's a shame that you're wife doesn't even care for you."

I didn't say anything and decided to leave. As I made my way outside, I saw dado coming back. When she saw me, she smiled brightly before saying

"Are you leaving already?"

I nodded my head. She kissed my forehead before muttering

"May Allah keep you three in his protection."

I smiled and then I saw her. She was standing in a corner. But the thing that amused me was her talking to Aaban rather casually. He was telling her something and she was smiling. Literally smiling. She never smiles when I talk to her. Forget about smiling, her lips didn't twitch. What is it that he's telling her that she is smiling that much. I made my way to them and heard Aaban saying

"Bhabhi, I must say you did alot of hard work. It's not easy to handle a man like Zain bhai. I salute to you!"

He saluted her making her laugh. I scoffed. What's so laughing about that? Aaban and his stupid jokes will never end. I cleared my throat to gain their attention before I stated

"Shall we leave now that you have completed your chatter, Aaban?"

He turned to me look at me. He smiled sheepishly before saying rolling his eyes

"You're such a bore. You're no fun."

He groaned before making his way to the car where Salar was already waiting. They both sat down before driving away. I sighed heavily before turning to her. She was looking down. She was avoiding eye contact with me. I sighed before asking

"Where did you go?"

She didn't reply. She kept looking down not saying anything. My jaw clenched before I repeated my question. My voice was stern and hard this time. She finally answered

"I accompanied Shehnaz Ammi to the park."

Her voice was monotone. She still doesn't look at me. I again stated

"You should know that it's not good for her to exhaust herself like that. She shouldn't walk too much."

I heard her taking a big breath and even heard her mumbling something under her breath but it was inaudible to my ears. She finally said

"Yeah, I know. But she was insisting so much."

I shook my head and said

"But you should be careful. Dado's health is really risky right now."

She nodded her head before making her way inside. I also made my way to the car to leave for the office...

Shiza's POV

I was walking down the street with Shehnaz Ammi. She was keen on taking me with her. I tried to refuse but she didn't agree and ordered me to accompany her. So, here I am. We both had already visited her friend and now we are taking a stroll in the park. At one point, she stopped and sat down at the bench. I asked her

"Are you tired?"

She nodded her head. I immediately brought the water bottle and gave it to her. She drank the water and sighed heavily. I sat down beside her and said to her

"You should be careful about your health."

She passed me a smile before saying

"Beta, I am ok. I am absolutely fine."

I shook my head and tried to prove my point

"But still you shouldn't tire yourself out. I think we should go home now."

But her words stopped me

"Shiza, wait, beta. I need to talk to you."

I frowned before sitting beside her. She held my hands in hers before saying

"I'm so sorry."

I was confused. Why is she apologizing? I asked her

"But why are you apologizing?"

She shook her head and said

"You think I don't know what is happening in the house? No one is treating you well. I'm not blind, beta."

I remained not saying anything. I mean what should I say? She's right. She must have seen their behavior with me. She then said

"I know Shah Zain is also not treating you well. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done that to you. Your life is ruined because of me."

I immediately shook my head and assured her

"No, it's not like that. You did nothing wrong. Please don't say anything like that."

But she shook her head and continued

"It was me in the very first asking you to marry my grandson. I thought after getting married maybe he will be responsible but he is doing the exact opposite. He didn't even care for his wife."

I once again was loss at words. I mean what can I say? Shah Zain really doesn't treat me like a wife. He acts like I don't exists. It's really hurting sometimes and sometimes it really hurt my heart that I want to quit. But then I thought about Shehnaz Ammi. She really cared for her family. It's so bad that her family doesn't understand her. She is trying her best to provide them the best. They should be grateful for having her. She patted my cheek before saying

"Do you forgive me?"

I smiled and shook my head before saying

"There is nothing to forgive. You did nothing wrong. You did what you think was best. Leave the rest to us. I promised you that I will try my best in this marriage. I am keeping my promise. You should be rest assured."

She smiled before patting my head. I stood up and offered her a hand to stand. I then stated

"Let's go home."

She nodded her head and we headed back to the way to home..
***

As we made our way to the gate of the house, my eyes instantly found Shah Zain. He was walking out from the house with Aaban bhai on his side. Dado smiled seeing them and started talking to Shah Zain. I remained at a suitable distance not wanting to hear them. They were talking while I was standing on the corner looking at nothing in particular. But soon enough my thoughts were disturbed by someone

"Asalamualikum bhabhi."

It was Aaban Bhai as I glanced up. He was holding a genuine smile on his face. I smiled back and replied accordingly. He started initiating small conversation

"How are you?"

I answered softly

"I'm fine, are you good?"

He nodded his head before asking

"How's everything between you and bhai?"

At his question, I became quiet. I don't know what to say. I can't lie at his face but I also can't tell him the truth. I don't want him to see his bhai as a bad person. I'm sorry to say but Shah Zain might be a good son and brother, but as a husband, he is far from good. He is not even an ounce of a good husband. I sighed and tried finding words to answer but my mouth seemed to didn't form any words. Aaban was patiently waiting for me to answer but when I didn't for few moments, he might have understand because then next thing he said

"It's ok, I understand, bhabhi."

I tried to smile but it came out forced. He smiled back and stated jokingly

"I can understand that my brother can be a pain in the neck sometimes."

I burst into laughter at his comment. I never heard any type of snarky comments towards Shah Zain. Everyone always talked good about him so it's kinda new hearing such words for him. Aaban also started laughing but of course my husband has to but in between. He somewhat scolded Aaban and told him to go the company. I once again became quiet. He then turned to me and asked me about where did I go and somewhat lectures me to take care of Shehnaz Ammi.

He scolded me that I should not let her walk too much as it will tire her. He talks like I don't even care for Shehnaz Ammi. I cared for Shehnaz Ammi the most. She loves me and look after me when no one did. Shah Zain then left for his car and I made my inside. He will never let me live happily.

Whenever I decided to stay positive, he came and made me sad by his hurtful words. What can't you ever let me live in peace, Shah Zain? Why do you hate me so much? Why cant you see me as your wife and not like some gold digger?...

Here's an Eid update for you all after so long. I know I'm not updating frequently. But I'm in writer's block and I have zero inspiration to write. I am not even satisfied with this chapter. Please bear with me. I don't know when I'll update again. So vote share and comment.
Till then loads of love
