It was the evening of
the 25th December.
And Jisung couldn't stop running
his fingers over the soft fabric of
the baby blanket his parents
had gifted them.
It had a pastel yellow color with
small orange paw prints, they had
gotten it without even knowing their
grandchild's nickname and yet
it fit so perfectly.
And still the blonde couldn't
imagine how it'd be to hold his
own child wrapped in this
particular baby blanket.
In his little kitten's blanket.
If he was being honest he looked
the same way he always did after
such a feast, after eating so much
of his mom's amazing food.
It was only in his head that he
knew that the little bump didn't
come from the foods this year.
He sighed softly as he let himself
fall back on the mattress, his eyes
closing as he spread the baby
blanket over his lower torso.
"That's your blanket, tiny kitten.
You like it? Your grandma and
grandpa got it for you."
Just like a few other little things,
most presents had been dedicated
to their little one.
Onesies, bottles, Jisung's old
baby hat and a pacifier.
And a book Jisung's mom had gotten
when she had been pregnant.
"Your grandparents are so excited
to meet you. Just like your daddy.
Next Christmas will be fun. You
can look at the pretty tree, smell
grandma's cookies and nap
bundled up in your blanket."
The blonde sighed softly as he let
his hand wander over the blanket and
at the same time his tiny baby bump.
"Sungie? Oh, here you are!
Dinner is ready soon but the
oven needs some time to heat up,
I think we got half an hour left.
Is there something you want to do?"
Jisung smiled sleepily when his
husband leaned over him to place
a confident kiss on his belly.
"Cuddles."
"Okay, my love.
Cuddles is always the correct answer."
And the moment the older male had
made himself comfortable on the bed,
Jisung snuggled close to his side
with his head resting on his
husband's chest.
"I'm so proud of you, Sungie.
Look at our little kitten, they're
growing so healthy and happy
because you're being a
great mommy."
Minho smiled as he slipped his
hand under the baby blanket to
pet the little bump after getting
permission from the blonde.
"Kitten is growing well because
of my mom's good food. I bet most
of the bump isn't even because
of our kitten."
"Even then it's for the kitten, hm?
And I'm happy you're eating well,
you have a lot to catch up on after
those weeks of morning sickness."
It was true, Minho could hardly
describe how relieved he was
to see his husband eating well.
Of course on some mornings the
sickness came back but the blonde
had a great appetite and would
eat large portions especially
for breakfast.
His first actual craving that
didn't leave him alone for a day
was bananas.
At the most random moments
the boy suddenly desperately needed
to eat a banana or he'd probably
die as he often stated.
It was a harmless craving,
bananas were easy to buy and
Minho didn't have a problem
with storing a banana on Jisung's
bedside table, just in case.
Also bananas were healthy,
the ravenette would be a lot
more concerned if his husband
would crave very sugary things
all the time.
"I miss our cats.
I really love my parents
but I look forward to going
home tomorrow. I miss our bed too"
Jisung pouted softly.
You never slept better than
in your very own bed.
And the pregnancy had made
the blonde a lot more sensitive
to all the little changes.
It was a huge difference to him
if he slept wrapped in his very own
blanket that smelled like home, on
the mattress that had just the right
softness for his back or on the fold
out sofa in his parent's basement.
Their basement was newly renovated
and included a guest room with the
fold out sofa, a TV and a closet and
a direct entrance to a bathroom
beside it.
It was small, nice and cozy.
But it wasn't home, not anymore.
"I miss home and the kitties too.
Also there's some pudding in our
fridge too, I've been waiting to
eat that one for so long already."
"You and your pudding.
Do we have banana flavored
pudding too?"
Jisung suddenly looked up at his
husband with big sparkling doe eyes.
"I'll order some, it'll be there
when we get home tomorrow."
The ravenette smiled down at the
love of his life and placed a soft
kiss on the tip of his nose.
Being whipped for Jisung was a
full time job and it was expensive.
Luckily he was ready to spend
every penny on his husband
and their tiny kitten.
"You're the best, Min.
What would I do without you?"
"Probably die because of the
lack of banana pudding."
"What a tragic death."
Jisung sighed dramatically as
he snuggled closer, humming softly
when Minho ran his hand gently
over the tiny baby bump.
"I'm so excited for the next
doctor's appointment. Our little
kitten grew so much, it's so cool
to watch them develop."
"I should be able to feel them
move soon, right?"
"In a few weeks, yes.
Lucky you, I have to wait
much longer."
The older male pouted before
he buried his nose in his
husband's fluffy hair.
"I'm not sure if I'm lucky to
get kicked in my intestines."
"You are."
"If you say so.. But Min?"
"Hm?"
"I really want a banana right now.."
