" I'm sorry. I never liked you that way...I like someone else...you know someone that is actually 'likeable'" the prominent figure in front of you rubbed their neck, feeling no remorse in their tone
Your eyes fill with fury as rage blinds you, making you instinctively slap the figure, leaving a red scar, " Screw You And Your Ideals In A Person!" You yell, making a scene, throwing your bag at the figure
" and...CUT!" The directer, Yae Miko showed a cutting motion with their arms, terminating your short performance, " great job" Yae miko mumbled, sitting down to look at the clip board
You let out a big breath, feet quickly speeding to Alhaitham as he clenched his stained cheek. " I think I bruised you! I'm so sorry" you dust his shoulders to show your guilt
" no worries...I shouldn't doubt your abilities in the heat of the moment..." Alhaitham raises his finger as he cited those words to you
" welll...it's nothing" you brush off, waving a dismissive hand to the man
" ...well why try for this audition when you know you will get the role like always" Alhaitham's tone showed annoyance as he enlaced his arms together
" well I haven't been acting for a long time because of my podcast. It's refreshing to act again." You look around, always wowing at the big studio with head lights as your hands laid on your hips
" You know...even if it's a minor role, I'll take it but I really want the main role for the movie this time. As my comeback" You heroically toned, determination in your eyes as Alhaitham gives a nod of approval
" don't worry to much. Okay?" Alhaitham patted your shoulder before passing you for aid on his cheekbone
You watched intently as he did, your smile fading slowly. Hopefully Yae Miko would give you the lead role. You've collaborated with her many times before so you trusted her ability to choose outstanding actors suited for each role in her new movie.
Travelling over to your empty seat, you seize your hand bag that laid on the edge of the seat, walking out the studio with a phone in hand, checking your recent podcast reviews
" great work" Yelan greets you, raising her hand as you reach the park outside the studio
" thank you...hopefully I get the main role" you gesture, showing your crossed fingers to Yelan
" with Yae Miko, you always get the main role. Don't sweat it" Yelan patted your shoulder as luck in acting was an advantage to you
" well yeah" you agree, heels walking along the stoned path with Yelan
" so do you know who auditioned?" Yelan asked curiously as you surprisingly shook your head
" no clue..." you stare at her almost dumbfounded as Yelan smirked, preparing her Intel for you
" apparently after you, Diluc, Lumine, Eula, Mona, Heizou, Itto, Keqing and many more of your past colleagues also auditioned" Yelan showed you who you were competing for as the main lead
" are you trying to make me more worried?" You retorted as you saw the brilliant actors making Yelan smirk, " no. just showing you who you have beaten already" Yelan scrolled down the long list for you
" Childe!??" You almost yell out as you see the name, covering your mouth quickly to divert unwanted attention
" I forgot to mention him..." Yelan placed a finger on her chin as you stared astonished
" his trying for the main lead?" You lowered your tone this time so you wouldn't attract a crowd
" well yeah...did he do something to you?" Yelan waved her phone at you, wanting your current knowledge on him
" Well! For your information, I remember his scandals with Lumine. She was saddened after the scandal with Childe so I just don't trust him" you shake off, getting shivers from the topic. Of course that was only partially why you reacted that way.
" I mean..it's just her fans that's the problem. Not Childe" Yelan tried to defend as you tried to think of an response
" well...maybe? but there's something off about the man" you stated, pointing out what you knew as Yelan shared a mocking laugh
" if you say so, I wouldn't oblige" Yelan winked at you as a way of supporting you in a sense
" ...care for a drink though?" Yelan pointed at your favourite tea shop as you gave her an encouraging look

Ruffling your hair, you take off your shoes upon entering your home, also taking off your jacket as the home seemed more warmer than usual
" [y/n]! Just in time!" You heard as a voice beamed at you which scared you upon hearing it for the first time
" Thoma! You frightened me" you place a hand over your heart, trying to calm it as you walk over to the man in the apron
" how were the auditions?" Thoma curiously asked, not hearing from you since you last did the podcast, placing everything he had down to listen to your rant
" it was...okay...I'm just worried more about the podcast" you make a obvious lie hoping Thoma would fall for it. You were an actor after all
" ....right...I came here to deliver your files for the new episode and I couldn't help but make some food for you...you must be exhausted" Thoma gave you a plate of delicious delicacies
" well yeah...I also found out who was auditioning" you stir the cup in your hands, choosing your words carefully
" who's auditioning?" Thoma washed his hands with his head perked up
" well a lot of actors...and Childe is to" you barely whisper as Thoma turns around clueless
" what about him?" Thoma added, his expression showing clear confusion
" you remember...back in high school" you pointed out, not stating anything out of the norm
" ohhhh him...you'll be fine." Thoma brushed it off when he thought about it, patting your shoulder
" I hope so" you looked at the food, eating it carefully
" well about the podcast...we are still airing on Wednesday right?" Thoma placed his elbows on the table, head on his palms
" of course...I just need to make the script" you continued ingesting the food.
" well I'll go for now" Thoma grabbed his home keys and bag that he placed on the chair beside you
" take care" you mumbled, trying not to talk with your mouth full as Thoma gave you a grin before walking outside the door
You looked at the door as it squeaked shut and quickly got up and ran to bring your laptop to the table to work on the new scripts
With a paper and pen on your laptop already, your pen clicked on the note pad as you tried to think of beginner words to start your new chapter
Taking big bites of your food, it was no surprise you had to put it in the sink, so, quickly jolting upwards you place the dish's in the sink and hurried back to the table
Looking at your lit up phone screen you check the message notification ||
Assuming you meet at the studio, you observed the message and felt anxious for what role you would get, you weren't aware they would already decide the roles that quickly
Setting up all your alarms you placed your phone away, typing away on your computer before losing track of time

If it hadn't been for your 10 alarms, you would've been later to the studio
Running desperately outside to the studio it started to heavily rain making you curse loudly as you didn't dare to check the weather as you awoke this morning
" careful there" you felt an umbrella cover your head so suddenly
You turn around alertedly and were met with deep ocean eyes that flowed in such a dull setting and recognised it to be Childe
" are you walking in?" Childe pointed out as you realised he was also here for the role announcement
" yes...thank you" you try to give a smile to the man you dreaded to be with, stiffly walking into the studio
as you arrived with the clicking of your shoes and shaking of umbrellas, you struggled to tie up your partially wet hair
" sorry I'm late" you announced as did Childe, the studio echoing your entrance as you saw a group of widely known actors sitting beside a standing Miko
" just in time, please sit down" Yae Miko ordered with a pen pointing to your seats
You and Childe shared no words, obeying and scattering to your seats as your lips were sealed. With this, Yae miko red the clip board in her hands, adjusting her glasses
You hadn't paid attention to your surroundings as you focused on Yae Miko read out which actor had which role
" okay the following roles are
Diluc || brother of the male main lead
Lumine || rivals with the female main lead
Mona || close friends with the female main lead
Heizou || mysterious character
Itto || friends with male main lead
Keqing || close friends with female main lead
Fischl || friends with female main lead
Eula || relative of main lead and a worker that is yet to be decided" Yae Miko said in almost one breath as everyone had mixed feelings that they sealed with a neutral expression on their face. Some wanting to be the main lead and failed and some who got their desired role
Yae Miko had yet to announce more characters because there was still a handful of people left but she saved their roles for last as everyone wanted to know the 'main' roles straight away
" and I know you guys are excited for the main roles" Yae Miko adjusted her glasses higher this time as everyone pressured her to read it out. Slightly licking her finger to turn the paper
" the main leads are...
Childe and [y/n]!" She gave a teasing look to you as everyone clapped excitedly, some with less energy
" congrats!" Lumine whispered to you as she was in a radius of you
" what?" You quietly whisper in disbelief
