a wedding ring you have on?

Oh shit. I forgot to take it off.

I'm going to keep those details
private for the time being.
I wasn't even planning on
admitting I was married, so

Now, can you tell us when you
got engaged? Because the rumors
have been flying for a long time.

Well, we didn't plan on announcing
we were engaged either. That was
also an accident.
Alliah
Harry let it slip while
performing, it was a whole fiasco.
Sean
Was that when you got engaged?
Alliah
Around that time. The specific date
is something we'll keep to ourselves
for now.

WAVES CRASHED ON THE SHORE, the sound of sea ringing in their ears while the sky was painted orange, purples and pinks, freckled with the white of barely visible stars.
And on the beige sand, lied two golden hearts, wrapped in the ecstasy of finding their better half.
Two people whose lives collided by pure, dumb luck, and they thanked every star for aligning, every domino for falling into place, every fate for allowing that person to become their destiny.
Whispers clung to the air like smoke, lingering in their minds if only faintly, warming them in the most exhilarating way possible.
And small smiles dripping with peace and contentment became their new normal, laughter shared in the bliss of joy, it all became so natural.
As if this was how it was always meant to be. Two people lying on the beach, hidden in plain sight, not a care in the world for the audience watching their romance as if it were a trapeze artist on a wire, anxiously awaiting the moment one of them lost their balance and fell.
And maybe love is like balancing on a wire, but a true love means there's a net below you, and someone cheering you on even when you fall a million times.
It didn't matter how love worked or why, in this moment, all the couple needed to know was that it worked and it was beautiful.
At its core, love was just beauty and happiness, and sometimes it meant a little heartbreak, but even those deep blues were used to paint a masterpiece.
Love wasn't easy, it was hard work and effort, and it meant choosing a person again and again every single second of the day.
But it was simple. You love someone. They love you back. And you work to keep that love alive.
Alliah and Harry had kept their love alive, through the hardships, and the tears in the tapestry, when the rain was falling and their hearts were ready to shatter.
But they kept that flame alive, and now it warmed them to the core, and there wasn't anyone who could put out the raging fire.
"Harry," Alliah whispered, a secret just for the two to know.
He hummed, the sound reverberating through his chest. "Yes, love?"
"I love you." It was written all over her face, her heart and her soul. An open page for everyone to see with only four words scribbled in permanent marker, 'I love Harry Styles'.
And Harry looked at her the way people look at art hanging in museums, he looked at her as if she were the most priceless of artifacts, rare and with a million meaning hidden inside. A masterpiece of shades, like she were the entire galaxy with all the endless possibilities that lay in her heart.
And if there was a way to show just how much Harry Styles loved Alliah Mendoza, he'd find out and he'd put it all on display, because she needed to know how beautiful she was inside and outside, and he needed to tell her.
But instead he had to settle for three simple words, carrying the entire weight of his adoration and infatuation,
"I love you."
