(Y/Ns pov)
Alarms are blaring, while red lights flash. Dustin came and got us, after successfully making it out of the room he lead us to the back of a small car like thing. Getting in inside, with Dustin, and Erica in the front. As we drive back down that insanely long hallway. "Jesus, slow down!" Steve yells. "Yeah, what is this, like, the Indy 500?" Robin asks. "It's the Indy 300" Steve corrects. "Umm, no dumbass, it's the Indy 500" I yell annoyed. "Its 300!" Steve yells. "Let's say a million" Robin says in a giddy voice. Still completely out of it I just start laughing, along with Steve, and Robin. We continue laughing ignoring whatever Dustin and Erica are talking about, until we stop hard and crash into some barrels. After we crash Dustin turns around and asks "you guys alright back there?" We didn't respond with words just groans of pain. After a second Dustin, opens the back door, Erica standing by his side. "Come on we gotta go, now!" Dustin says urgently. We don't move so Erica yells "Come on! Get out!" "Let's go!" Dustin yells while grabbing my arm and pulling me and the others out. "Ow!" I yell as he pulls me. "We're coming!" Steve yells annoyed. "This sucks" I say annoyed as well. Erica pushes me closer to the large door since I didn't want to move on my own. Dustin used a key card and then the large door opens to the elevator, we all make our way inside.
The elevator starts going up, back to the surface. Steve is stand on a kart with wheels while Robin, and I move him back and forth. "Hey! You look like your surfing" Robin says in a amazed tone of voice. "Surfing! Yeah! I'm a natural! Check it out!" Steve yelled before falling and the tripping over a couple boxes landing on his ass. "Wipe out!" I yell, as we all start laughing again.
As Steve lays on the pile of boxes Dustin goes up to him and places a hand on his forehead. "He's burning up" Dustin says. "You're burning up" Steve says back in a sassy tone. "One sec, one sec, Steve, Steve" Dustin says as his trying to get a good look at Steve's eyes. "God, no. Ow!" Steve says since his eye is still very swollen. "His pupils are super dilated" Dustin says to Erica. "Maybe he's drugged?" Erica questions. "Boop" Steve says as he boops Dustin on the noise. "Steve, were you drugged?" Dustin asks. "How many times, dad? I don't do drugs. It's only marijuana" Steve says still completely out of it. "Don't be stupid marijuana is a drug Steve" I say. "Shut up, you smoke to" Steve says while laughing. "This isn't funny, okay? I need to know what they did to you, are you gonna die on us?" Dustin asks annoyed. "We all die, my strange little child friend. It's just a matter of how... and when" Robin says in a creepy tone. "They're gonna be looking for us there, so I need you to tell me where you parked your car" Dustin says questioning Steve. "Oh, can we make a pit stop at the food court?" Steve asks. "I would kill for a hot dog on a stick" Robin says. "oooooh" I say with excitement in my voice. "All right. Yeah, food. Yes, you can have as much food as you want, but only if you tell me where your car is parked" Dustin says trying to get us to focus. "Uh-oh" Steve says. "Uh-oh?" Dustin asks confused. "The cars off the board" Steve says. "What?" Dustin says. "They took the keys. The Russians, they took the keys. Like, forever ago" Steve explains. "That's a bummer right" Robin says while laughing.
The elevator finally stops and we're back to the surface. "Oh! Oh, my god, that tastes so good. Ah!" Robin says sticking her tongue out. "Steve, can you taste the air?" I question also walking around with my tongue out. "I taste it! I taste it!" Steve says, voice sounding muffled because of his mouth being wide open. While walking around tasting the air in laughing. When all of the sudden two guards spot us. "Shit! Come on! Come on!" Dustin yells grabbing us. All I can hear is yelling until Robin screams "Why are we running?" No one answers the question but the five of us make it back inside the mall.
Dustin and Erica pull us along as we run through the back hallways of the mall. "Whoa!" Steve yells dramatically. "Where are we going?" Erica asks in a rush. "Just trust me" Dustin answers. We stop at a door, Dustin opens in and looks out. "All clear" Dustin says as we make our way out. We follow him into one of the movie theaters. While walking in Steve pulls a bag of popcorn out of the garbage. Once inside we stand for a second watching the movie. "What did I tell you?! Eighty-eight miles per hour!" We keep watching until Dustin says, "Come on." We walk down the side stairs to the front of the theater. Making it to the front to see three open seats at the end of the row. "You three, sit" Dustin demands us. "No, no, no! These seats are too close!" Robin complains. "Dudes, these seats blow" Steve agrees. "Then don't watch the movie" Dustin says annoyed. "We wanna watch it" I say in a whisper yell. "Then watch it!" Dustin yells angry. "Shhhh, your being to loud I can't hear" I say. "Whatever you do, don't... go... anywhere" Dustin says with a sigh. "Fine, dad" Steve answers. Dustin and Erica move along to some more open seats as we watch the movie.
As the movie continues we get thirsty, and decided we would go out into the hallway to get a drink. "That's amazing" Steve says while drinking water. "So like, I wasn't totally focused in there or anything. But... i'm pretty sure... that mom was trying to bang her son" Robin says slurred. "Wait, wait, the hot chick was Alex P. Keatons mom?" Steve asks confused. "Yeah, dude i'm pretty sure she is" I answer. "But they're the same age" Steve states. "No, but he went back in time" Robin says. "Then why is it called back to the future?" I ask. "He has to go back to the future. Because he's in the past. So, the future is actually the present, which is his time" Robin explains. "Wh... What?" Steve stutters confused. "No, no. It's my turn. You've had enough" Robin says pushing Steve away from the water fountain. Steve walks out, looking up at the ceiling. "Wow. Hey, Robin, Y/N. You gotta check this out. Check this... this... the ceiling it's beautiful" Steve says not looking away. Robin and I make our way over to stand next to Steve. "Oh, wow" Robin says. "You're right it's beautiful" I say looking up. As we star at the ceiling the lights start to spin, everything starts to go in and out of focus. All feeling the same thing we make a break for the bathroom getting into stalls just in time to throw up.
Running into the first three stalls of the nearest bathroom we could find. And throwing up everything that was in our stomach. After a minute of that and things start to calm down Robin asks "the ceiling stopped spinning for me. Is it still spinning for you?" "Holy shit no" Steve says surprised. "Ugh I think we puked it all up" I say with a hard sigh. "Maybe. Ask me something" Robin says. She continues in a Russian accent "Interrogate me." "Okay. Interrogate you. Sure, umm... when was the last time you, uh, you peed your pants?" Steve asks. "Today" Robin answers quickly. "What?!" I ask surprised. "When the Russian doctor took out the bone saw" She explained. "Oh, my god" Steve sighed. "You know what, same. I peed too" I said while laughing. "It was just a little bit though" Robin says while also starting to laugh. "Yeah, it's definitely still in your systems" Steve says. "All right, my turn" Robin says. "Okay" I say agreeing. "Hit me" Steve says while waiting for the questions. "Have you... ever been in love?" Robin asks sincerely. "Yep, Nancy Wheeler first semester, senior year" Steve answers while imitating a gun shot noise to his heart. "Oh, my god she's such a priss" Robin says in surprise. "Hmm turns out not really" Steve says. "Are you still in love with Nancy?" Robin asks. "No" Steve answers simply. "Why not?" I ask a little surprise at his answer, but decided to just sit back and listen. "I think it's because I found someone who's a little bit better for me. It's crazy ever since Dustin got home, he's been saying 'You know, you gotta find your Suzie... You gotta find your Suzie'" Steve explains. "Wait, who's Suzie?" Robin asks. "It's some girl from camp, I guess his girlfriend to be honest with you, i'm not 100% sure she's even real" Steve answers. "But that's not- that's not really the point. That doesn't matter. The point is this girl, you know, the one that I like, it's somebody that I... didn't even talk to talk to in school. And I don't even know why. Maybe 'cause Tommy H. would've made fun of me or... I wouldn't be... prom king. It's stupid. I mean Dustin's right, it's all just a bunch of bullshit anyways. Because, when I think about it, I should've been hanging out with this girl the whole time. First of all she's hilarious. She's so funny. I feel like this summer, I have laughed harder than I have laughed... in a really long time. And she's smart. Way smarter than me. You know, she can crack, like, too secret Russian codes and... you know? She's honestly unlike anyone i've ever met before, Robin?" Steve stops his rant, and taps on the side of the stall while asking. "Robin, did you just OD in there?" He asks again, since he didn't get a response the first time. "No" Robin answers quietly. "I... am still alive" She clearly answers this time. I hear Steve move guessing under the stall into Robins.
As they continue to talk I decide it's not right for me to listen, since I can tell where the conversation is heading. I'm okay with that though, I felt like some time to think was just what I needed. Everything that has happened the past couple years. And not being able to tell anyone anything. My mind wanders, for how long i'm not sure. Finally getting pulled out of them by the sound of Steve's voice. "Y/N did you just OD over there?" "Huh. Oh no, just thinking" I answer softly. "Well come an sit with us" Robin says.
I make my way over to the stall they were in together, taking a seat next to Robin leaning on the wall. Joining their conversation of crushes, and first loves. "Just saying, Robin you could do so much better than her" I say sincerely. "Exactly, I mean, she's a total dud" Steve says, agreeing with me. "She is not" Robin defends her crush. "Yes, she is she wants to be, like, a singer. She wants to move to, like, Nashville and shit" I say. "She has dreams. And Y/N should you be the one talking? I mean isn't Eddie literally in a band" Robin says in defense. "She can't even hold a tune" I say. "she's practically tone- deaf have you heard her?" Steve adds. Robin starts laughing. "All the time 🎶You see me now tonight🎶" Steve starts to sing. "Shut up" Robin yells at Steve while laughing. "🎶You see me....🎶" I continue to sing, cracking my voice on purpose. "She does not sound like that" Robin defends. "She sound exactly- that's a great impression of her" Steve explains. "You sound like a muppet" Robin says with a small laugh. "She sound like a muppet" Steve compares. "She sounds like a muppet giving birth" I add with a laugh. Steve and I start singing again, getting caught off by Dustin and Erica busting through the door to the bathroom. "Okay, what the hell?" Dustin yells at us. The only response we could give him was bursting out in a fit of laughter.
As the movie ends and people start pilling out. "And... blend" Dustin says as we move out of the bathroom. "Well, shit, that worked" Erica says surprised. "Course it worked. We just have to get on the bus with the rest of these plebes, and home sweet home, here we come" Dustin explains. "Uh, Dustin?" Steve says nervously. "What?" Dustin asks confused. "Yeah, we might not wanna go to your house" Steve says. "Why?" Dustin asks still trying to get a clear answer. "Well, I might've told them your full name" Steve finally says. "What is wrong with you?" Dustin questions upset. "Dude, I was drugged" Steve says defensively. "So?" Dustin asks angry. "So?" Steve repeats confused. "So, you resist. You though it out. You though it out like a man" Dustin explains. "Oh, yeah, it's easy for you to say" Steve says angry. "Guys?" Robin says getting everyone's attention. Seeing up ahead the Russians are check everyone who's making their way out of the mall. "Abort" Dustin says as we try not to be seen. "Abort. Abort" Dustin says as we start speed walking away, which quickly turning in a run. "Come on, let's go, let's go" Steve says as we all take turns sliding down the escalator.
Hiding behind the counter of one of the restaurant in the mall. While the Russian soldiers walk around us, searching. Someones shoe squeaks, we're all breathing heavy, trying to stay as still and quiet as possible. Waiting for something, anything to happen. When suddenly the car alarm starts wailing. Gasps as the car horn starts honking. Then the car is thrown across the room taking out all of the Russians in one swoop. Slowly peaking out from behind the counter. Only to see all of the now unconscious soldiers, and the flipped convertible. Looking up on the balcony above, to see Eleven and everyone else.
Making our way over to meet everyone. "You flung that thing like a Hot Wheel!" Dustin says while laughing with excitement as he runs over to hug El. "Lucas?" Erica says confused by seeing her brother. "What are you doing here?" Lucas asks with the same amount of confusion. "Ask them. It's their fault" Erica reply's with wit in her voice. "True, yeah. Totally true. It's absolutely our fault" Steve says taking blame. "I don't understand what happened to that car" Robin says confused. "El has superpowers" Dustin answers. "Im sorry?" Robin says asking for a clearer answer. "Superpower" Steve repeats, "She threw it with her mind" I add trying to clarifying. "That's El?" Erica asks. "Who's El?" Robin asks still not keeping up. "I'm sorry, who are you?" Nancy asks motioning towards Robin. "I'm Robin. I work with Steve" Robin answers. "She cracked the top secret code" Dustin says. "She's helping us" I add. "Yeah, which is how we found out about the Russians" Steve says. "Russians? Wait, what Russians" Jonathan asks confused. "The Russians!" Steve yells again. "Those were Russians?" Max asks surprised. "Some of them" Erica reply's. "What are you talking about?" Lucas questions completely confused. "Didn't you hear our code red?" Dustin asks curious. "Yeah. We couldn't understand what you were saying" Mike answers. "Goddam low battery" Dustin says. "How many times do I have to tell you the low battery?" Steve repeats. "You really need to start carrying extras" I say reminding him. "Well, everything worked out, didn't it?" Dustin yells. "Worked out? We almost died" Erica says in her usual tone. "Yeah, but we didn't, did we" Dustin explains. "It was pretty damn close" Steve says. "Okay, Russians? As in, they're working for the Russian government?" Lucas asks again, still not processing everything. "What are you not comprehending" I ask while rolling my eyes. "Are we not speaking english? We have a full-blown Red Dawn situation" Dustin explains. "So this has nothing to do with the gate?" Max questions. "It has everything to do with the gate" Dustin states.
the conversation continues only for another second before El collapses onto the grown. "El! El!" Mike says as we all run over to her. "What's wrong with her?" Erica asks confused and nervous. "What's wrong?" Mike asks El who's still laying on the ground. "My leg. My leg" She says between gasps of pain. "Her leg, her leg. Okay." Jonathan says while ripping a small strip open in the bottom of her pants. "Get that off" Jonathan says. "Okay" Nancy agrees talking the bandage off of Els bleeding leg. Everyone groans in disgust and sympathy pain at the sight of Elevens leg. We're able to see something moving just below her skin. As she lets out more grunts of pain. "El! El!" Mike yells trying to get her attention. Without a response Mike yells again, "El! El, are you okay? El! El!" Still with no answer until Eleven let's out a gut clenching scream of pain at the top of her lungs.
