"Let. Me. Go." You said coldly to the archon infront of you
"Y/n, we've been over this, you aren't going anywhere outside of your room." She replied shaking her head
"This isn't my room! This isn't even my house!" You screamed
"Yes. It. Is." She said in a low tone
"You're going to have to accept that eventually." She added as she began walking to the door
"I hate you kusanali.."
"It's mother Nahida to you."
How long had it been since she took you in and never let you leave? You had no clue. It most likely has been centuries, you only remember this cause she got locked up for centuries and during that time you ran out of food.. When she was rescued she introduced you to the wanderer, who apparently was her nephew, sorta. You liked wanderer he was a reasonable person and he was about your age so you two got along pretty well, you sadly didn't see each other often though.
"Wanderer! I'm gonna be busy all day so if you could please check up on Y/n for me I would really appreciate it!" Nahida yelled threw the palace as she began running to the door
"Oh! And can you try to convince them to stay, they seen to like you alot more then they like me.." she added stopping at the door
"Sure! See you later!" Wanderer replied
"I need to pick up some food from the market today.." he thought to himself
"Whatever"
"Hey look! It's wanderer!" An annoying voice yelled from afar
*sigh*
"could their timing be any worse" he thought to himself as he turned around to see the traveler and his floating companion
"Whatever you need can you make it quick." He said coldly
"Geez, why so mean." Paimon replied pouting
"You're lucky I didn't walk away yet. Now what do you want?" He rolled his eyes
"Hey-!"
"We were wondering if you knew where Nahida was?" The traveler asked as they covered paimons mouth "no clue" he shrugged
"She said that she'd be gone all day today, so better luck tomorrow."
"Well that's no help.."
*knock ×3*
"Go away Kusanali!" You yelled
"It's not nahida!" The voice replied
*le gasp*
"Wanderer!" You ran to the door as he opened it
"Hi" he greeted
"Come in, we have lots to talk about!" You grabbed his arm and dragged him to a chair
"Do you want tea or coffee?" You asked
"Uhhhh- coffee" he replied uneasy.
A couple minutes later you brought in two cups and handed him one
"How has the outside world been?" You asked
"Pretty much the same as the last time we talked" he replied
"Y'know, it isn't as fun as you think it is out there" he added
"Plus this library is fucking huge!" He yelled
"Hmm, well, it is a library of Divine knowledge after all.." you hummed
"And I understand that some people pray to be in my position, but I've been stuck in here for CENTURIES!" You exclaimed
"Hundreds of years ago, she took away my freedom, my family, my friends.." you slightly trembled as you spoke
"Listen, I can't convince Nahida to free you completely, but when you get a vision I'll probably be able to convince her to let you out and train with me." He stated
"Wanderer, we've been over this, I'm not gonna get a vision I have literally no ambition in life." You replied taking a sip of your drink
"N/n, you have mommy issues, you're gonna get a vision." He said rolling his eyes
"1. Kusanali is NOT my mother
2. I'm getting sick of your stereotypes." You narrowed your eyes at him
"Be as sick as you want, you're gonna get a vision!" He screamed
"Plus, you have the motivation to get up an do things in your life, and where there's motivation there's ambition." He states
"You probably have a book about visions in this huge fucking library." He looks around
"Oh I do! Let me go get it!" You jumped of of your chair and began running to a section of the library
Your pov
"Here we go! This is the section where I keep teyvat history!" I smile to myself
"Now I'm pretty sure that I keep the book on the top floor.." I think aloud as I run up the stairs.
I look through rows of books and in mere seconds I found it
"Alrighty now back to wanderer!"
I say as I slide down the stairs railing
"I found the book!" I yell as I run back to wanderer
"Great. Now hand it over." He demands
"What's the magic word~" I teased
He looked at me like I just murdered his best friend,
"Avada Kedavra." He said, his face returning to normal

"Touché.." i replied tossing him the book
"Look" he says pointing at a page of the book
"Yeah, it says the ambitions people have to receive a vision, I've read this book before." I reply
"Now we're gonna look at these ambitious and see which matches you the most." He looks at me in annoyance
We both sat next to each other and he read all the ambitions for every vision
"Electro - those who are seen as unusual to regular people"
"Dendro - desire to achieve greater things"
"Hydro - those with a strong sense to protect something"
"Pyro - having a strong passion for something"
"Cryo - internal conflicts"
"Geo - perseverance, their ambition are as immovable as rock"
"Anemo - want to be freed from their pasts/lives"
(Btw I took these from tiktok and they probably aren't canon)
"I have an anemo vision" he says pointing to the pendant on his chest
"Wait.. That's what a vision looks like!" I exclaimed
"Yeah.. have you never seen a vision before?" He asked
"Nope, but looking at it I think I've seen something kinda like it before.." I said standing up and walking to another part of of the library.
"What are you looking for?" He asked closing the book
"I found it!" I yell running back to him
"Look" I say holding out a icy blue pendant similar to his
"That's a cryo vision." He looks at the pendant then looks at me
"Ha! So I was right." He smirks
"Also you're an idiot." He rolls his eyes
"Wait, so will you try to convince Nahida to let me out? Even if It's only for a few minutes." I looked at him eagerly
"Yeah sure, anyways I gotta go see you later N/n" he stands up and pats my head before he starts walking to the door
"Wait a minute, you didn't call her Kusanali this time!" He turns back to me
"I mean- you- uh- I-' I look away in shame..
"Hey don't look so sad maybe her knowing this will increase your chances" he says walking out of the room and locking it
3rd person pov
Hours laters nahida returns home.
"Hey Nahida! I need to talk to you about something." Wanderer yelled
"What is it?" She asked
"Y/n has got a vision-"
"Really! That's amazing!"
"Let me continue please, anyway I tald her that when she received a vision that I would try to convince you to let her train with me outside.." he looked away
"Also she called you Nahida earlier today." He adds
"She did?!"
Nahida said with excitement in her eyes
"Well... maybe I could let you two train together but it will have to be under my supervision and It can't be for a long time.." she turned her head towards your room
"Why were you gone for so long anyways?" He asks walking up to her
"I was looking for a certain plant that will help with Y/n" she replies pulling out a couple of torn out book pages
"Recipe to obedience?" He questions
"Yes. I've tried to be calm and reasonable but I am on my last nerve. WHY CAN'T THEY ACCEPT THAT I. AM. THEY'RE. MOTHER." She yells
*sigh*
"Tomorrow night you and Y/n will train, I'll bring multiple weapons for them to try." She says
*the next night*
"Why did you pick the catalyst?" Wanderer asks you
"Cause you have a catalyst and Kusanali has a catalyst, it runs in the family" you smile
"Also I like books!" You add
"They said I was their family" Nahida thought to herself
*the next day*(cuz I'm lazy)
"Y/n, I made you soup!" Nahida yelled on the other side of the door
"... as much as I shun you.. you make really good soup.. I'll take it.."
You may hate Kusanali but you can't deny that she's a good cook.
You began eating the delicious soup Kusanali made you admiring the taste but after you finished the soup.. you started to feel tired, you tried to fight the urge to fall asleep but it was useless and you fell asleep..
"Wake up sleepy head!" The soft voice spoke
"Kusanali..?" Your eyes fluttered open
"Call me mom! I mean I pretty much adopted you anyway!" She smiled
"You.. did..?" You blinked tiredly
"Mhm! Don't you remember?"
Nahida pats your head
"I... I remember now.. you're my Adopted mother and Wanderer is my.."
You try to remember what wanderer is to you
"Brother! He's your brother."
Nahida says happily
"Right!"
You smile at her.
The two of you walked out of your room (library)
"Hi wanderer!" You greeted him like you would any other day and you began walking to the kitchen in Nahida's house.
"How much do you want for the herb?"
Nahida asks wanderer
"50 000 mora."
He responds
"By the way, You're my son now."
Nahida looks up at him
"What?"
Wanderer asks bewildered
"I told Y/n you're her brother and Y/n is my child so, now you're my son."
"Whatever.."
