head is silent. fifth gear demolishes white lines. lead the way through darkness, in spite of dread.
phantom hovers over me. seeks
me, my weakness. haunts me, tears me. brings familiar sensations, waft of security. it sticks, like they're real - like it's here.
creature invades my mind, digs and burrows, festers, makes itself at home. the ditch shall come closer, one day, i've prayed. until then, memories feed me energy. fantasy has become reality.
