The next morning when she woke up, found the bed empty. It was the weekend afterall. The events of the last night was still fresh in her mind. Him getting angry, crashing his phone, everything. He was snappy as well after that but she had no courage to ask him what was wrong.

Shrugging off the thoughts, she freshened up and climbed down the stairs. It was privilege of having the room on first floor itself that she didn't have to take lift.

As she walked, the strong smell of spices reached her nostrils and by living in this house for six months now, she knew it was Aayansh who was cooking.

He used to cook for the family, every weekend, if he did not got some urgent work. Cooking for someone was his love language, thats what she assumed.

Stepping into the kitchen -where he was the only one working because he doesn't allow any cook beside him- she saw him too focused on cooking.

He was a chef afterall and among everything In this world, he loved cooking more than anything. She have seen him a few realities shows as well whenever her mother used to play It on the screen and his love for cooking wasn't hidden from her or anyone.

He was wearing one of those half sleeved, black tee-shirts he have. His veins popping out as he grabbed the mortar from his left hand and was most probably beating some spice with pestle in his right hand.

Were veiny hands always a hot sight to see or it was just different today?

She shook her head, shrugging off her thoughts. One thing she noticed, he wasn't wearing any ring in his hands.

Wedding ring? Something like that never happened between them!

Clearing her throat, she put the full stop to all the random thoughts, which surely caught the attention of the male in the kitchen.

He pointed his finger in a certain direction and as she followed its direction, it was towards the water cane.

The time she looked back at him, he resumed his work.

"Umm..do you need any help?" She asked.

Well, do you even know how to cook? Was her inner voice.

I know the basic at least. Now shut up!

"No, I'm almost done." She nodded. It was almost around 11 in the morning, time for brunch and everyone would be coming In a few minutes.

"You can set the plates if you want." She heard him, adding further. It was a good idea rather than getting bored while waiting for everyone.

After setting the plates, she came back into the kitchen. Aayansh turned off the stove and went to wash his hands to the sink.

I can take the containers outside. She thought and attempted to pick the bowl with her bare hand, forgetting that it might be hot, but hissed sensing the buring sensation On her fingers as well as some areas of her Palm.

"Fucking hell!" Aayansh cursed under his breath and immediately walked to her. Holding her wrist, he dragged her to the sink and kept her hands under the water.

"who on the earth even told you to do that." He scolded while pressing her lips together, she stared at him.

He was gritting his teeth and she could feel that.

"I was just trying to help." She reasoned out, slowly.

"No one asked for your help."

Why does he always have to shout!

She pulled back her hand. "I'm fine." She mumbled, taking a few steps back.

"I have eyes and I can see that!" Holding her wrist, he almost dragged her lazily into the dining room.

"Sit." He ordered and went into the living room and a little later, came back with the first aid box.

Sitting on the chair beside her, he pulled her hands and applied the cream. She hissed and now looking at her palm, it was all red but the only thing she could be thankful about is, it was her left hand, rather than right one she use for almost everything.

"What happened?" Came the confused voice of Avantika. Aayansh glanced at her than back at his wife.

"Nothing. Someone just wanted to be careless." Aadhya looked at him in disbelief who was blowing air on her burnt hand.

"I didn't do it on purpose. I was trying to help you by bringing the food outside." She sound offended and Aayansh glared at her.

"Aadhya, you should be careful with kitchen stuff." Came Naveen's voice who was following his wife to the dining.

"It's nothing serious, Maa, papa. He's just exaggerating." She felt another glare at her but didn't look to his side. She knew it was Aayansh.

"Ho gya." She pulled her hand back, as she felt a shiver running through her spine as he blew air on the wonded hand.

(It's done.)

Aayansh stood up while giving a little jerk to the chair he was sitting.

"You aren't allowed in my kitchen from now on." She gasped as he pointed at her before she could say anything, he was out of her sight, into the kitchen.

"Stop being controlling. I'll go anywhere I want." She said aloud, making sure he could hear her while the couple just shook their head, taking their seats on the dining.

"I won't die with just a little burn." She further added.

A furious Aayansh walked back into the dining room and kept the container of food on the dining table with a thud, which surely startled three figures sitting on the chair.

"This is the last time you're talking like that." He looked at her, staring deep into her soul. He was pissed off, that could be clearly seen on her face.

She couldn't understand what he meant by that. The tone she used or the words she picked.

Maybe the tone, he was dominating and she knew that. That's why he didn't like the raised tone she used.

Aadhya blinked her eyes and looked away when she heard Manish. "What's happening here?" She was embarrassed.

Divya and Manish looked at the elder couple sensing the tension in the air but they shook their heads.

"I'll eat later." Aadhya mumbled and got up from the chair.

"Sit here and eat." He commanded, angrily.

"I don't want to." She mumbled and walked away not before glaring at him.

Why he have to talk to me so rudely. Does he really hate me?

Aadhya was climbing the stairs but her mind was clouded with the things happened just few minutes ago and amidst all these, she didn't realise when her Foot slipped on the stairs and she ended up falling from the 5th stair.

The family members rushed to her hearing her scream.

"Are you a fucking kid that you can't even walk properly?" It was him again, his face completely red with anger and concern as he bent down to her level.

Aadhya tried to get up, ignoring him but seemed like she got a sprain in her ankle.

"Aadhya, are you okay? What were you doing?"

"I don't know how I slipped but I'm okay, don't worry." She again tried to get up but in vain.

"I can help myself." She mumbled, when Aayansh tried to lift her up.

"shut the fuck up." He shouted. His tone made her shiver in fear.

"Aayansh, watch your tone." He heard his father's warning but ignoring everything, he picked her up.

Aadhya didn't look at him as her eyes filled with tears. What she even do to make him that mad and angry. Walking into the room, he put her on the bed, gritting his teeth.

"Where is it hurting?" He asked, he tone was rough which she didn't like for sure so she chose not to answer him and rubbed her arm which was aching a little.

"I'm asking you something." He asked again but still received no response.

Holding her jaw, he made her look at him.

"Answer me when I'm asking you, dammit." And this time, when she lifted her eyelids to look at him, his expressions softened seeing her tearful gaze.

"I don't want to talk to you, leave me alone." She wiggled a little and looked away. That's when he realized he was too harsh for the situation.

"Tul-

"Aayansh, leave. I'll look after her." Befofe he could say anything, Divya interrupted and he looked beside him to see, Divya and Avantika.

"Chachi-

"Didn't you hear me Aayansh, I said leave." Divya glared at him and he knew, he big time messed up. Without saying anything, he walked out of the room giving a last glance to Aadhya.

Aadhya blinked away her tears.

"Where's hurting, Aadhya?" Avantika asked, softly.

"I think I got a sprain in my ankle and my left arm is hurting a little." She mumbled and gulped down the lump of saliva as her throat started aching when she tried to hold back her tears.

"Are you sure that there's no need of the doctor?" She shook her head in denial when Divya asked.

"I'm fine. Don't worry." Avantika nodded her head and Divya brought the first aid box and applied the pain relief gel on her ankle as well as arm.

"Okay, rest for a bit and call me if you need anything. I'll ask Riya to bring your breakfast in the room itself."

"No Maa, I'm not hungry. I'll eat later." As much as she was holding herself back from crying, she ended up shedding tears once Avantika hugged her.

"We're sorry on his behalf. He shouldn't have behaved with you like that." Aadhya shook her head, wiping her tears when Shivam entered the room.

"Kha dard ho rha hai?" He asked, sitting in front of her. "My right ankle." Shivam nodded his head and twisted her ankle a little, making her wince in pain.

(Where is it hurting?)

"Shivam,...It's hurt- Ouch." Shivam twisted her foot in a jiffy and it stopped hurting, considerably.

"Is it still hurting?" Aadhya moved her foot a little and shook her head.

"Not like before." She mumbled.

"Take some rest, alright. Call me if you need anything." Three of them left after a while Aadhya inhaled a deep breath.

"I hate you," She said, gritting her teeth before laying on the bed as her eyes filled with tears again.

Why the fuck I'm crying and why his behavior is affecting me so much. Mr. Volcano who doesn't know anything other than getting angry and shouting at people.

Stepping into the gym , Aayansh punched the wall after closing the gate behind him, letting out his anger.

"Can you fucking not yell at her every damn time!" He gritted his teeth, his neck veins popping out.

Putting on his gloves after taking off his tee-shirt, he started punching the punching-bag in the left corner of the room.

But it wasn't something to yell at her. Fuck it, you shouldn't shout at her at all!!.

He walked directly into his study room afterwards and didn't come out for the entire day. Guilt was consuming him, he was too harsh on her for the situation. She needed a little care and he did exactly opposite, shouted at her.

In the evening, when he finally gathered up some courage to face her, he walked out of his study room not before having a good lecture from his father who scolded him for how he behaved with her.

He knocked at the room and hearing a faint come-in, he pushed the door open but confusingly stared at Aadhya, who was packing her bag.

"Are you going somewhere?" His question was ignored. Aadhya zipped the chain of her bag and went into the closet, leaving a confused Aayansh behind. He waited for a couple of minutes and she walked back into the room dressed in a mustard yellow kurti and navy blue pants.

"Where are you getting dressed for?" Aadhya was combing her hair when she heard him again. He sounded desperate.

"Are you listening to me!" He walked to her furiously and stood in front of her, folding his hands on his chest.

Aayansh, control yourself.

"I'm going to my house." She stated firmly and padded towards the bed where her bag was kept.

"This is your house." He followed her behind.

"My parents house. Fine!" He could guess from her tone that she was still mad. A sigh escaped his lips as he closed his eyes to inhale a breath in order to calm himself.

The time he opened his eyes, she wasn't in front of him. As he looked towards the door, he got the glimpse of her walking out. Anxiety built inside him and sweat bids formed on his forehead. Wiping them off, The first thing he did was to walk into the closet and was relieved seeing most of her clothes and things there.

she isn't leaving permanently! Aayansh, you need to calm down. She isn't living permanently.

Informing everyone, Aadhya walked into the parking lot when Aayansh came from behind and snatched the beg from her, leaving her startled.

"I'll drop you." He mumbled but she snatched her beg before he could say anything.

"I know how to drive. You're not coming with me." She was already pissed off at this man.

"I'm dropping you." He stated sternly.

"Stop it already. Showing care one minute and pouring your anger at me the next. I'm not your bloody punching beg that you'll treat me according to your mood and I need some space. That's why I'm going there, not for you to tag along with." She ended up bursting on him.

Aayansh loosened the grip around the bag and gulped down the invisible lump formed in his throat.

"You aren't going alone. One of your bodyguards will drive you." Aayansh mumbled.

"Fuck off!"

Aadhya snapped and opened the door of the car. Throwing the bag on the backseat, she Sat on the driving seat before closing the door harshly.

Aayansh squeezed his eyes shut and rubbed his palms over his face thereafter, pushing his hair back. Opening his eyes, He called the bodyguards who were standing a little far.

Aadhya started the engine of the car and drove the car out of the garage until the bodyguards walked to Aayansh.

"Make sure she reaches at Malhotra's safely." He gave one of them the car keys he was holding. Aadhya drove out of the mansion soon and followed by her bodyguards.

Rubbing his palms over his thighs, he closed his eyes and inhaled some deep breath.

She isn't leaving permanently, Aayansh. She'll be back. She'll be okay, she just needs some space.
