The kiss was so long, it was so eager. Like you both have been waiting for that for so long. You cant tell if you were so into it because you were embarrassed to know what happens next after you pull away, or you felt angry.
You're kissing the boy you've had such a grudge against for years. You don't know why but it makes you angry. It feels like you both are fighting, trying to prove who the better kisser is, which made the kiss so intense. Its like it had to be a competition.
Hunter pulls away and holds you a few inches away from him, hands gripping your shoulders.
"Don't you think this is getting too intense?" He asks.
"I- uh-" You say shakily.
You don't know why but you glare at him. You feel angry at him.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I- ah- I-!" You stutter all angrily.
"I hate you!" You say.
"What?" he says.
"T-the more I was kissing you the more I was thinking.. TITAN DAMMIT! I'm really doing the last thing I wanted to do for years upon years of knowing you." You say.
"You.. didn't like it?" He frowns.
"No! I hate that I DID like it!" You blush.
He looks up at you with a curious looking face.
"I hate that I like it! I just- I feel like I need to keep kissing you until I don't like it anymore!" You say angrily.
"I don't want to like it!" You blush crazily.
"But I like it so much! AGH-" You groan.
"W-What's wrong with you?! Why'd you make me like it?!" You yell.
"And Ugh! I- I'm.. the things you tell me and the things you do flatter me and I hate it!" You say.
"When you told me you thought I was pretty- I just- I liked that you said that but I hate it at the same time! And when you were trying to hold my hand I hate that you did but i liked it at the same time! It just makes me feel like you're winning and trying to personally make me like you just so you can win and be better than me!" You groan.
Your face is as red as a tomato, for two reasons, you are flustered, and you are angry.
"I feel like I need to hate you! I have to hate you because you're winning! but at the same time I don't want to!" You yell.
Hunter places his curled finger against his lips and goes silent for a moment. You stare at him, what is he thinking? what is he trying to figure out?
For a moment you thought he was seriously trying to think of something, but then you just hear him laughing.
"TITAN! WHATS SO FUNNY?!" You yell at him all red faced.
"HAHAH! No No, its its I'm sorry its just so funny, its cute." He says.
You clench your fists.
"AGH YOU'RE SAYING THAT ON PURPOSE TO MAKE ME ANGRY!" You blush.
"Heheh! So.. according to your little brain you have in there: I made up this "game" where in order for me to "win" I have to get you to like me?" He smirks.
"Yes." You huff.
"BAHAHAHAH!" He laughs, covering his face with his hands.
"ITS NOT FUNNY! I HATE YOU!" You yell.
"Okay, you know what, I like this interpretation you made. I never really had a "game" in my mind, but your ideas cute, so maybe I will make that my goal." He smirks.
"TITAN!" You groan.
"I like this, it makes me think when we were kids and everything was a competition. I loved seeing you so angry whenever I did something better than you, it was hilarious." He chuckles.
"YOU JERK!" You blush.
"UGH! YOU WERE HIDING THIS! YOU GOT SO QUIET AND POLITE TO ME, BUT YOU WERE HIDING THE FACT YOU'RE STILL SECRETLY JUST LIKE HOW YOU USED TO BE WHEN WE WERE LITTLE!" You yell.
"I was quiet and polite because I liked you, and I was nervous around you, I also was quiet because I felt a bit sad that you wouldn't see me often like when we were little anymore, because I didn't realize how much you really didn't like me, So I wanted to be a little nicer." He says.
"I was never purposefully trying to be a jerk." He says.
You fold your arms and glare at him.
"Okay maybe I was considering the bug incident on your birthday... BUT HEY, I was a dumb kid, everyone's a dumb kid some point in their lives." He says.
"I was always polite though, I fixed your stuffed animal as your birthday present, I apologized about the bugs, I helped get them out of your hair and I apologized a lot about it." He says.
You sigh.
"Yeah, I was kind of annoying, but it was because it was just nice receiving the attention from you, I didn't know any better, I was a kid." Hunter says.
"Maybe I still don't know any better since I still want attention from you." He blushes.
"But at least I'm not as much of a jerk kid as I used to be." He says.
"I still hate you." You grumble.
"I don't think you do, you only do right now because you're embarrassed." Hunter smiles.
"TITAN! STOP IT!" You yell.
"Hey, who was it saying... something like, you wanna kiss me until you don't like it?" Hunter folds his arms.
You clench your fists, your face is literally steaming.
"Wanna test that out? Cause I don't think it'll work." he smiles.
"YOU MAKE ME SO MAD!" You blush.
"Your face is so red right now its funny." He says.
"SHUT UP!" You yell.
"ALSO IT WILL WORK WATCH THIS!" You say filled with anger and confidence.
You grab him by the shirt collar and kiss him. He honestly didn't expect you to grab him so you caught him a little off guard. You kiss him angrily, kissing and kissing and kissing replanting your lips on his over and over again, and he loved it, he loved the attention.
You stop kissing him, and stumble a little backwards.
Hunters a little pink but he's smiling a little, he liked that you willingly did that.
"heh, well?" He folds his arms.
"Did you dislike it?" He asks.
You're still trembling, your eyes look like they're all starry. Your still trying to process you kissing him.
"w-what?" you mumble.
"Did you dislike it?" he asks.
"I- um.." You mumble.
"I.. um.. I h-hated it." You say softly, still all red faced.
"Yeah, I can tell." He says sarcastically.
"I hate you." You mumble.
"No you don't." He says.
You bury your flushed face in your hands. Hunter watches you.
"Lets go home." He says getting up from leaning against the tree he was on.
He grabs your hand and you flinch but take it. You cant not hold his hand, it feels nice, it feels like you're being protected and cared for. You hate that he's making you feel protected and cared for.
The walk was quiet. You often glanced up at Hunter though, who seemed happy. Every time you made eye contact and you quickly turned the other way he laughed a little to himself because he thought it was cute.
Hunter lets go of your hand.
"Wait here for a moment, I'll be right back." He says.
"um.. okay." You say softly.
He smiles and walks a certain direction. You watch as he disappears into the shopping crowd. Is he buying something?
You're in the shopping area near the castle. He has to be buying something. What is he buying.
After a moment or so later he appears.
"What took you so long?" You say even though he wasn't even gone for that long.
"These are for you." He says.
He hands you a carnation. Carnations represent captivation and distinction. So in other words, he's telling you he finds you interesting.
"Thanks." You softly say.
He smiles, and grabs your hand again. A shiver goes down your spine, but you take it.
Titan, you hate him. You hate how smirk he is, how confident he is, so annoying, you hate how persistent he is, how good he is. You hate how kind he is, you hate how beautiful he is, you hate how good of a kisser he is, you hate him!
But you like him.
