it's been two years since Shadow defeated black doom and destroy the Black Arms and now all was peaceful again.
with the world rebuilt after the war, everyone went on with their lives with none other than Sonic the Hedgehog facing many foes along the way with his friends and Shadow by his side.
everyone soon accepted Shadow as the anti-hero or Sonic's rival but what everyone didn't know was that the two had a much deeper relationship that was only seen behind closed doors.

morning:
shadow slept peacefully in the bed till the sun light came though the cracks of the curtains causing his eyes to squint and then open, he then grab his phone that was laying on the bed side cabinet to see that it was 6:34 am in the morning.
yarning, he sat up on the double bed with his eyes then looking down at his secret lover who lived in this very house as he then gently he shook the teen to wake up before the alarm on his phone could wake him.
'come on time to get up now...I got to go to work'
'Mmmmh do you have to wake me, just go already shadow'
shadow couldn't help but chuckle when the other open his emerald colour eyes, instantly glaring at the black hedgehog as he tease the other.
'don't tell me your pissed off because your sore again'
the teen sat up himself with him not very amused by shadow statement as he replied in a mad tone.
'well if someone wasn't so rough with me then I wouldn't have to wake up sore now would I....come on shadow how the hell am I suppose to save everyone from Eggman's attacks if it effect my running...jerk'
the teen pouted while shadow chuckled again as he got out of the bed smirking and saying in a sarcastic tone
'oh I'm sorry that I made my faker A.K.A the world fastest hedgehog who is known as sonic the hedgehog sore, but you know as well as I do that you loved every second of it last night so stop being mad at me'
'tsk....just shut up and go to work already'
sonic threw his pillow to him with shadow catching it before it could hit him and continue to smirk as he taunt the teen more
'aww do you want me to call in sick so I can take care of the young hero'
'shut it, I can take care of myself and besides your the ultimate life form, you don't get sick everyone knows that'
sonic had an annoyed look on his face making shadow sigh as he sat down on the bed and lean over to the teen, putting is hand on sonic cheek as he told the teen in a calm tone.
'I know that and that's why you shouldn't of provoke me last night, so it's your own fault'
sonic was annoyed but sigh as he knew shadow was right and told him that it was okay.
'good now why don't you wash up and go back to sleep, I'm sure the doctor won't attack today so just get some more sleep'
'and what make you so sure he wouldn't, huh'
'I have a mission today with rouge, involving his base again so he will be to busy dealing with me'
'fine I guess I could get some time to myself today then so.......when are you coming back'
'when I'm finish with my mission till then, relax or go and see the others you call friend's but not anyone else, got it'
now sonic felt like it was his turn to tease shadow, showing a taunting grin at the other
'oh is someone jealous that I might fall in love with someone else and dump you'
'humph have you not learn from last nights to not upset me'
'alright, alright I heard yah, anyway do I look like someone who would do that'
shadow smile and kiss sonic his new bite mark he got last night before he stood back up, grabbing his phone and the red chaos emerald and use it to teleport to G.U.N while sonic went to wash up.

G.U.N HQ:
shadow arrived in the office he shared with rouge, sitting on her desk till she saw shadow appear by chaos control in front of her.
'there you are hun but where have you been lately?'
shadow went back to his usual self when he teleported there, telling the bat to 'mind her own business' before he pick up the files that was on his desk, reading it as she spoke again.
'seriously after I looked high and low, no thanks to you'
'I never ask you to look for me' shadow said bluntly to rouge making her sigh but couldn't help but wounder where he was disappearing to.
'hun, I don't know where you have been going when your outside of work but, you haven't even been home for 6 mouths now and I'm starting to think your hiding something'
'I said it's none of your business, instead why don't we get on with this mission so I can go back'
'oh go back where exactly?'
shadow shot a glare to rouge making her say nothing anything more about shadow's personal life and carry on filling shadow in about the mission instead.
'okay fine, if you are goanna give me that look........the mission is to inveterate Eggmans base and find out what? or who?, he's been communicating with for the pass two months'
'probably just some fool that want the same as the rest of them, only to be destroyed by faker and his group of friends'
'most likely however the intel shows that the communications that he was receiving happen to be outside of this planet'
this caught shadow attention, thinking it would be another attack from another species making him look into the paperwork more to get details but there was none.
'let's get everything we need ready before the day is over so we can get this all done tonight'
he drop the paperwork back on the desk with him and rouge leaving the room to get ready.

Eggmans base:
Eggman was in his lab typing on his computer with many screens on the wall in front of him with one then alerting him that he was receiving a call from another screen.
he accepted the call with a much deeper yet dark voice on the other side of the call asking the doctors if there was anymore news.
'he's gone back to work at G.U.N but as for anything else no, he's been doing the same thing like he has for mouths now, visiting that little rodent'
'then this mobian you call rodent must be a weakness to shadow then?'
'how should I know'
'your so called spy bots can't see what's happing inside the building?'
'tsk no, unfortunately the rodents friend tails has installed devises that would shut them down if they try going near the rodents home'
Eggman heard a sigh from the caller till he spoke to the doctor again
'then perhaps I should investigate this rodent personally, since you said I also need to get rid of him, I might as well do it quicker rather than later'
'and how do you attend to do that when he's...'
the voice interrupted Eggman, speaking firmly to him.
'I don't question you doctor, so don't question me......my soldiers will be down there ready for tonight, so till we speak again'
the caller hung up with Eggman asking more question than answer with his new partner in crime.
