Chapter 121
No One POV
After Keenan had sent the challenged to Lucian who of course accepted it since he was bored out of his mind back in Sinnoh, he instantly made his way over to the stadium in the Sinnoh region.
The same arena that he first battled Aaron in as for the battle against Cynthia it'll be in a totally different stadium which is ironically the Sinnoh league stadium since that's where all Champion challenge battles happen.
Keenan had got his team set up for his battle against Lucian as he's both ready and it ready for it to be honest, but he's confident that he'll pull through especially with his ace Pokémon that he has.
Keenan:*thinks*alright since Aaron's team had drastically changed when I battled him I can expect the same for Lucian, I need to be careful with how I battle him since psychic Pokémon can be a big pain in the ass.he thought to himself
His thoughts were interrupted by the announcer on the mic as he stood up from the bench he was sitting on in the large walk way leading toward the battlefield.
Announcer:alright ladies and gentlemen let's greet the 2 trainers who will be battling it out today, Lucian the Psychic Elite Four of the Sinnoh region and the challenger Keenan this years Sinnoh league winner from Vermilion city.he announced
Keenan:just like Aaron my strategy is too win and that's it.he thought to himself
Both him and Lucian had walked out of the their own corridors as they both stood in their respective boxes as they both looked at each other, as if he didn't knew any better he'd mistaken Lucian as a relative of his.
But as far as he knows he isn't a relative of him and Tobias and well anyone else in his family, unless you're from Rise of a Prodigy but that's a different story altogether.
Lucian:*smiles*you know I've been looking forward to battling you Keenan after I witnessed your battle with Aaron I was quite impressed. But sadly this is where your streak will end.he said back to him
Keenan:yeah we'll just see about that.he replied
The ref who made her way onto the battlefield who was a girl this time as it seems that the Elite Four member chooses their referee for the battle.
Ref:this will be a full 6 vs 6 battle as the winner will be decided once either sides Pokémon are unable to continue, in addition the use Mega Evolution and Z-Moved are allowed. As per the rules of this battle Lucian will choose first so let the battle start.she announced
Lucian:*smirks*lets show them what we've got Hatterene.he said out loud
Lucian had brought out his first choice of Pokémon as it appeared onto the field as Keenan had raised an eyebrow at his first choice but he knew he couldn't underestimate it.
Keenan:*thinks*seriously a Hatterene, well I can't exactly underestimate this Pokémon but I have the perfect choice for it.he thought to himself
Keenan:I'll go with this Pokémon, Armaldo let's do this.he threw out his first choice
As Keenan is using one of the fossil Pokémon he gotten from Mr.McKenzie as his Armaldo had appeared onto the battlefield with a ring of shine as he cried out his name, as pretty much everyone was amazed with the shiny fossil Pokémon.
Announcer:it looks like Keenan will be leading off with a shiny Armaldo and Lucian with his Hatterene, be sure to take it in folks since seeing a shiny fossil Pokémon is very rare.he said into the mic
Lucian:Ive never seen a a shiny Armaldo before this should be an interesting match.he said to himself
Ref:*raises her flags*the challenger will have the first move, but without further ado let the battle begin.she announced
Keenan:Armaldo use Rock Throw now.he commanded
Lucian:Brutal Swing to break those rocks.he ordered
The rocks Armaldo had launched at her was immediately broken when Hatterrene had swung her body destroying those pieces.
Lucian:now use Psycho Cut.he commanded
Keenan:duck underneath it and charge in with X-Scissor.he called out to him
Hatterene had launched the blade of psychic energy at Armaldo who ducked under the attack at the last second and charged at her.
As Armaldo's claws has gotten a light green glow to them as he slashed Hatterene who cried out in pain as she was launched back to Lucian's side.
Lucian:hmm not bad but let's see you handle this, use Dark Pulse now.he commanded
Keenan:Protect.he said
As Armaldo had created a forcefield in front of him as the chain of dark energy from Hatterene had hurled its way over toward him, but instead of hitting the barrier it did a full one 180 and hit him on the side.
Keenan:*surprised*huh what the hell was that, the Dark Pulse can be controlled.he said out loud
Lucian:*smirks*there's a reason why I'm a psychic type expert as I've taught my Pokémon to control ranged attacks in case my opponent does choose the defensive route.he said back to him
Keenan:crafty bitch, in that case we'll just have to charge in use Stone Edge now.he ordered him
Armaldo had slammed his foot onto the ground as the sharp pillars of rocks had shoot out from the ground as it made its way over toward the Hatterene, the attack hit as she was sent flying up into the air.
Keenan:use Giga Impact now Armaldo.he commanded
Lucian:*narrows his eyes*quick Hatterene use Brutal Whip now.he commanded
Keenan:*surprised*eh he can do his own combination moves.he said to himself
The intense aura around Armaldo had roared out with power as he launched himself at Hatterene who was in the air, as she glared down as the appendage on her head had glowed a deep black color.
Hatterene had cried out as she swung the appendage like a whip as the 2 attacks clashed which created a large explosion in the air, as both Pokémon were seen falling down from the attack. They both landed on the field with swirls in their eyes.
The first battle has been ended in a draw as they were equal in strength and power.
Ref:*raises her flags*both Hatterene and Armaldo are unable to battle this match is a draw, trainers please bring out your second choice of Pokémon.she announced
Announcer:and what a way to start off this battle as it has ended in a draw, as it seems that both Pokémon were equal.he said into the mic
Lucian:well I wasn't expecting a draw but I don't mind it since it just makes things all the more exciting.he said out loud
Keenan:I have to agree with you on that one Lucian but I'm not going to slack off because we ended in a draw.he replied to him
Lucian:*smirks*well I certainly hope not, but I hope you're ready for my next choice of Pokémon. It's time to show your psychic prowess my beautiful Reunicles.he said out loud
Lucian had threw out his next choice of Pokémon which surprised Keenan and the audience a bit as his next Pokémon had appeared with a ring of shine capturing everyone's attention just like his Armaldo.
First Aaron had a shiny Pokémon which was his Golisopod and now it's Lucian, as he's really starting to think that everyone of the Elite Four has a shiny Pokémon in their disposal.
Keenan:*thinks*a shiny Pokémon huh does everyone on the Sinnoh Elite Four has a shiny Pokémon or something.he thought to himself
Lucian:isn't my Reunicles beautiful, i caught him back in Unova on a small vacation of mines and I just couldn't help myself.he asked him
Keenan:the shade of blue on its body is cool but it's not like a Latios that's for sure.he said back to him
Lucian:*surprise*oh my a Latios you've seen one before oh to see a Legendary psychic Pokémon.he asked him
Keenan:*chuckles*yeah I guess you can say that, but here's my choice of Pokémon Braviary let's do this.he said back to him
Keenan had threw out his next choice of Pokémon as his regular Braviary had appeared onto the battlefield as he squawked as he slowly flew down toward the battlefield as Lucian was a bit surprised to see the regular old Pokémon but didn't really said anything.
It looks like this battle will be a battle between Unovan Pokémon as the 2 Unova native Pokémon had glared at each other, as Keenan had captured his Braviary off screen when he was bored so he went to Unova to get another good flying type.
Lucian:*rubs his chin*a Braviary huh this battle should be interesting.he commented
Ref:*raises her flags*Braviary vs Reunicles let the battle begin.she announced
Lucian:since you took the first move I'll do it this time, Renuicles my dear use Trick Room.he commanded him
Keenan:*grits his teeth*great just what I fucking wanted.he said to himself
As Reunicles had glowed as a rook had appeared over the battlefield as the speed has pretty much been switched as Braviary was faster then him but now Reunicles is faster, as Keenan needs to play this one smart.
Lucian:now use Psyshock now Reunicles.he ordered
Keenan:spin while using Steel Wing Braviary.he said to him
Reunicles had launched beams of psychic energy at Braviary who narrowed his eyes as his wings has gotten a metal shine to them as he spun at super fast speeds, completely deflecting the attack because of the metal like wings.
Keenan:use Brave Bird now Braviary.he quickly called out to him
Braviary had squawked as his body has gotten covered in blue flame like aura as he flew toward at Reunicles but his speed was pretty much like a slug at this point as he moved out of the way without any effort as Braviary had completely missed.
Lucian:I'm afraid your powerful attacks won't work when Trick Room is at play here, now Reunicles use Thunderpunch.he commanded him
Keenan:*sweating a bit*shit try and move out of the way Braviary.he said to him
But he was too slow as Reunicles had pretty much reappeared in front of him with incredible speeds and punched him square in the gut as Braviary's eyes had widened from the attack, as he slowly fell down toward the ground but he managed to catch himself.
Keenan needs to think of something or else he'll lose this battle all because of a stupid Trick Room but it was when he had an idea.
He's about to pull and Ash and destroy the said room as all he needs to do is gain enough speed and power and break through the room like it's glass, but he also needs to be ready for Reunicles's surprise attacks.
Keenan:*thinks*I have no choice I need to pull an Ash and destroy this dam room but I just need to gain more speed.he thought to himself
Lucian:if you attack then I will, Reunicles use Energy Ball now.he commanded
Keenan:dodge it Braviary.he said to him
The balls of grass energy had made its way over toward Braviary who just barley managed to dodge the attack as he flew a few meters in front of the said translucent cell as he stared him down.
Keenan:now use Heat Wave now.he called out to him
As Reunicles had tried to move out of the way but he was unsuccessful as the blast of heat had hit him head on as he cried out in pain from the attack as Keenan had finally done some damage onto the tricky bastard.
Lucian:let's get payback Reunicles, use Psyshic now and send him flying.he ordered him
Keenan:*mutters*just want I wanted you to do.he muttered to himself
Reunicles had outstretched his arms as his eyes had glowed blue in color as the same blue color had covered Braviary as he cried out loudly sending Braviary back toward the wall of the Trick Room.
But that is what Keenan wanted as he smirked.
Keenan:*smirks*now use Crushing Bird to breakthrough Braviary.he ordered him
Lucian:*raises an eyebrow*just what is he planning.he said to himself
As Braviary had cried out loudly as he aimed one of his feet at the wall of the Trick Room as he also combined Brave Bird + Crush Claw as the fiery blue aura had once again surrounded Braviary.
He slammed right into the room as the said wall of the room had started to break and crack as Lucian's eyes had widened in surprise of what's happening right now.
Keenan:push through Braviary NOOOOWWWW.he yelled at the end
Keenan's Braviary had squawked loudly as with one final push he managed to push through the Trick Room as the said room had shattered which left Lucian and everyone else in the crowd shocked at what happened. He can't believe that Keenan had managed to break through his attack and he used Psychic to help him as well.
Lucian:*wide eyed*theres just no way he actually managed to break through the Trick Room like it was glass.he said to himself
Keenan:now Braviary use Brave Bird full power now.he commanded him
Lucian:*his eyes widens*quick use Psyshock now.he quickly called out
Braviary had nose dived covered in the same blue flame like aura while Reunicles had created and launched the beams of psychic energy at him which caused an explosion in the air.
From the cloud of smoke Braviary is seen falling down as he landed onto the ground of the battlefield as he made a small cloud of dust from the impact, as Braviary is unable to battle as he has swirls in his eyes.
Ref:*raises her flag*Braviary is unable to battle Reunicles is the winner, challenger please bring out your next Pokémon.she announced
Announcer:it looks like Lucian is in the lead now as Keenan only has 4 Pokémon left and Lucian has 5 now, but his Reuicles hasn't came out the battle unscathed.he announced as the crowd cheered
Keenan:return Braviary you did well.he praised him
Lucian:you know Keenan I definitely wasn't expecting you to break through the Trick Room like that it was certainly something.he said to him
Keenan:I'll just say that I gotten motivation from someone since I seen someone else did that before and I wanted to try it for myself.he replied to him
Change Scene Cerise Laboratory
Meanwhile back at the Cerise labs both Ash and Goh are seen watching the Sinnoh Elite Four challenge on T.V as Ash was quite surprised to see that he broke through the Trick Room just like he did before back in Kalos.
Goh:dam that was pretty smart of him he somehow managed to break through the Trick Room using the momentum from the Psychic.he commented
Ash:*thinks*no way he did the same thing I did back against Valerie in Kalos, I wonder if I should battle him again.he thought to himself
As those 2 had continued watching the battle while Professor Cerise and whoever do their work in the lab as every once in awhile they stop to cheer Keenan on.
Change Scene Sinnoh Region
Now back in the fight with Lucian and Keenan as he needs to play his cards a bit more carefully now since he's kinda at a small disadvantage since Lucian had defeated his Braviary, as he needs to defeat his Reunicles first tho.
Keenan:alright Golisopod it's time for your time to shine.he said as he threw him out
As Keenan had threw out his next choice of Pokémon as he appeared in the flash of blue light as his Golisopod had appeared onto the battlefield letting out a roar, as Lucian had narrowed his eyes slightly since this will be a bit more tougher.
Lucian:*narrows his eyes*hmm so he's using a Golisopod now this should be interesting.he said to himself
Ref:*raises her flags*Reunicles vs Golisopod, let the battle begin.she announced
Lucian:alright Reunicles has Shadow Ba-.he was cut off
Keenan:First Impression.he commanded
Before Reunicles could even react Golisopod and appeared in front of her with incredible speeds and jammed his large sharp claws into his squishy body as his claws was glowing a lime green energy, as the attack was super effective.
Lucian:*grits his teeth*dam that was fast I could barely keep up.he said to himself
Keenan:now use Throat Chop and finish this Golisopod.he ordered him
Lucian:use Iron Defense quickly Reunicles.he cried out to him
He was too late as Golisopod had once again slashed Reunicles using his sharp claws to do damage as it was glowing black in color, as Reunicles had fell to his fast and large Golisopod.
Lucian:*surprised*no way he managed to turn the tides that fast.he said out loud
On the battlefield everyone can see Reunicles with swirls in its eyes signaling it's defeat.
Ref:*raises her flags*Reunicles is unable to battle Golisopod is the winner, Elite Four Lucian please bring out your next Pokémon.she announced
Annoucer:geez talk about a quick victory i don't think anyone has ever defeated an Elite Four members Pokémon that quickly unless your Kalakaua back in the Hoenn challenge.he said into the mic
Keenan:*thinks*to be fair he did used his Articuno and his Samurott to utterly destroy Sidney so it's not surprise there.he thought to himself
As Lucian had returned his downed Reunicles without saying a word until he was fully in his ball as he uttered him a thank you for the hard work and battle, as he looked back at Keenan and seen the serious look on his face.
He knew that from that look he's takings things a lot more seriously and he needs to play his cards right because if not it's all over for him.
Lucian:*smirks*well well it seems that Keenan is taking this more seriously now, then I guess I should do the same.he thought to himself
Keenan:*thinks*I need to be careful for his next choice of Pokémon I can't let my guard down anymore, with Golisopod's speed and power as well as defenses I should defeat another one of his Pokémon...possibly.he thought to himself
Lucian:that was quite the outstanding performance Keenan but let's see what this next Pokémon can do to you, it's time for you to shine Sigilyph.he said out loud
The next Pokémon had made Keenan raised and eyebrow as it's yet another Unova Pokémon as he heard from Kala that Sigilyphs can be quite tricky and agile as well since he battled against Tatsumaki's one back in Kalos.
And then afterwards Kala had decided to plow through her guts which of course Tatsumi was upset about there wasn't really anything he could do because of that since it's too late, but he knows Tatsumi is sorta happy it's someone he knows.
Keenan:*thinks*seriously another weird ass Pokémon in this battle, well at least it's not some small Legendary fish that'll be weird.he thought to himself
Annoucer:and Lucian's next Pokémon is Sigilyph let's see how Keenan will handle this off choice of Pokémon.he commented
Ref:*raises her flag*Golisopod vs Sigilyph let the battle begin.she announced
Keenan:use First Impression again.he ordered him
Lucian:*grits his teeth*dam I knew he'd do that but there's nothing I can do.he thought to himself
Once again just like before Golisopod had reappeared in front of Sigilyph before he could even react and slashed him across his body with his sharp claws that was glowing green in color, as he's the one that gotten first blood.
Lucian:Sigilyph use Trick Room.he commanded
Keenan:yeha not again bitch ain't letting that happen, use Sucker Punch.he ordered him
Lucian:*sweating*ok seriously how many first turn moves does this Golisopod knows.he said to himself
As Golisopod had reappeared in front of Sigilyph jabbing his claws into his body once again which sent him flying back to Lucian's side as his claws are glowing purple in color.
Keenan:now use Liquidation.he commanded
Lucian:use Psychic and slam him onto the ground.he quickly ordered
This time Sigilyph had initiated the attack as its eye had gotten a blue glow to it as he lifted Golisopod up into the air and slammed him down onto the ground creating a small crater from the impact, as Golisopod had stood up shaking off the attack.
Lucian:*thinks*ok aside from it being fast and unpredictable it's also quite durable as well.he thought to himself
Keenan:use Swords Dance Golisopod.he ordered
Golisopod roared as images of swords had danced around him raising his attack stat.
Keenan:now use Slash.he called out to him
Lucian:Sigilyph use Tailwind to dodge the attack.he said to him
As Golisopod had charged at Sigilyph with his claws glowing white with energy as he aimed it at the Pokémon, but a breeze has appeared behind Sigilyph as he gotten carried away with the breeze as his speed had raised.
Keenan:Golisopod use Ice Beam now.he called out to him
Lucian:dodge the attack and use Shadow Ball Sigilyph.he ordered him
Goilispod had unleashed the beam of ice at Sigilyph who was dodging the attack with his now boosted speed as he turned around and hurled a shadowy sphere of energy at Golisopod.
The attack had landed on its intended target creating a small cloud of smoke until Golisopod had swung his large arm blowing the smoke away as Lucian had grit his teeth.
Lucian:*grits his teeth*dammit that attack barely did any damage to him I need to find a way to do good damage to him.he said to himself
Keenan:*thinks*Golisodpods ability will activate sooner or later and I need to be prepared for whenever that happens.he thought to himself
Lucian:alright Sigilyph use Air Slash now.he commanded him
Keenan:counter that with Venoshock.he ordered him
Both Pokémon had launched their respective attacks as the beams of poison had made its way over toward Sigilyph as the blades of wind had also passed by the beams as they were aimed at each other.
Their attacks had traded with each other as both Pokémon has take damaged from each others attack, but Sigilyph has also gotten poisoned from the Venoshock as the Pokémon's performance had slugged down a bit.
Lucian:*thinks*well crap Sigilyph has been poisoned his movement will be much slower now.he thought to himself
Keenan:let's end this Golisopod use Dark Pulse now.he commanded him
Lucian:try and dodge it now Sigilyph.he cried out to him
Sigilyph was too slow as Golisopod had already created and launched the chain of dark energy at the said Pokémon as Sigilyphs movements has been slowed drown despite having his speed raised from the Tailwind earlier.
As the chain of energy had made contact with him as it once again caused a large explosion from the impact, as the cloud and dust had started to clear up to reveal Sigilyph unable to battle with a swirl on its one eye.
So far Keenan is winning this battle as he's also trying to keep his 2nd strongest Pokémon for later on into the battle as he managed to reach the halfway point and defeat half of his team.
Ref:*raises her flag*Sigilyph is unable to battle Golisopod is the winner, Elite Four Lucian please send out your next Pokémon.she announced
Announcer:it seems that Keenan is in the lead now as he managed to take down 2 of Lucian's Pokémon with just his Golisopod, will Lucian be able to turn the tides or will Keenan manage to take down all of his Pokémon before he has a chance to.he said into the mic
The people in the crowd had cheered loudly as they are curious to see where this battle will take as they know about Lucian's unpredictable battling style and Keenan's way to adapt to his opponent and defeat them with brute force and power as well as strategy is also outstanding.
Lucian:you did well Sigilyph return and get some rest.he praised him
Keenan:can you still battle Golisopod.he asked him as he roared in response
Lucian:*smirks*well Keenan it seems you've reached the halfway point as from here on out the battle will just be harder then before.he said back to him
Keenan:I'd be disappointed if it wasn't, after all you are an Elite Four member.he replied to him
Lucian:*chuckles*well I'll try my best to not disappoint then.he said back to him
Change Scene Private Podium
While up in a podium the other Elite Four members along with Cynthia the current Sinnoh region Champion is watching the battle as Aaron had chuckled seeing Lucian in a bit of a pinch, while Volkner was smirking.
Flint on the other hand is really fired up to battle him since he's been aching to battle him ever since he watched the Sinnoh league and the battle against Aaron, as it seemed this battle had only made it worst.
Aaron:*chuckles*well well what will you do now Lucian, your at a small disadvantage now.he wondered to himself
Flint:*grinning*dam I want him to defeat him already and the same can be said for Volkner I'm just aching to battle him right now.he said out loud
Volkner:*smirks*sorry to say this Flint my old friend but it won't be easy since I'll be the one to defeat him with my new and improved team.he said back to him
Flint:you never really said what your team is haven't you since you said you captured a new powerful Pokémon.he asked him
Volkner:sorry to say this old friend but that will be kept a secret for the time being until I battle Keenan once more.he replied to him
As Cynthia is watching the battle closely as she's observing every move that he does as it really is similar to Tobias but the only difference is that he isn't using Legendary Pokémon to battle even though she knows he has Legendary Pokémon he chooses not to use them.
But she's also very curious about a book she found about 4 Legendary Pokémon that can destroy the world with their powers and she's wondering if she can talk about him or Tobias about it.
Cynthia:*thinks*hmm I think I'll go ask him if I can talk with Tobias possibly about the book I found since i have a feeling he knows about it.she thought to herself
Change Scene Battlefield
Back onto the battlefield as Keenan and Lucian are staring at each other as he smirked as he pulled out a poke ball from his belt as his smirk reminds Keenan of Tobias one as he's really starting to think that they are related somehow.
Lucian:*smirks*you've done well to defeat my first 3 Pokémon but this is when things will get only harder for you Keenan, because here comes my top 3 strongest.he said back to him
He tossed up the 4th choice of Pokémon as Keenan had eyed the Pokémon as he was quite surprised to see his next choice since he wasn't expecting a Pokémon like that.
Lucian's next choice of Pokémon is a Malamar which is a native from the Kalos region as he knows these Pokémon can be quite dangerous and have real good hypnosis powers.
Keenan:a Malamar huh quite the interesting choice to say the least.he said to himself
Lucian:Malamar is one of the few Pokémon that can give my ave a run for his money, but let's see if you can defeat her.he said back to him
Keenan:*thinks*your ace huh I'm sure my ace Pokémon for this battle will blow your mind Lucian.he thought to himself
As both Keenan and Golisopod are dramatically looking at the Malamar as well as Lucian as this concludes the first half of the battle.
A/N:this is it for the chapter hope you guys enjoyed it as Lucian and Keenan's battle are reaching its end as the battle will most likely end in the next chapter. (I also decided to make the descriptions a bit shorter as well.)
The team I have for Lucian for the second half can be quite threatening especially his 2nd to last Pokémon which is not only strong but also very tricky.
Also sorry as well I gotten busy with life and a new DxD story that I decided to create be sure to check it out if you want to, I also have a Quintessential Quintuplets story in mind as well.
I was gonna do an OVA since it's been quite awhile since I've done one will but I'll probably do one in the next chapter...if I feel like writing down an extra thousand words or so.
Next chapter is gonna be "Psychic Nuisance Final"
