~3rd Person POV~
It has been 2 weeks since we were all in O'khasis. Y/n has been getting better. She's remembering a few memories here and there but most of them were from high school which was a relief.
She always thought it was weird that she couldn't remember anything before her coma but she decided not to push further. It would take a while for her to remember everything so she understood.
~Your POV~
"Hey Y/n!" I turned around to a familiar voice with a smile on my face.
"TRAVIS!"
Travis tackles me to the ground as sand gets into my hair. Yes, we're at the beach. It's been a comforting place to stay knowing that it was where I went when I was younger.
"Travis, get off her!" I heard Garroth yell.
I laughed and Travis did what Garroth said while helping me up.
"Sorry bud! I just love one of my not-alone-buddies." Travis said apologetically.
"Princess? Are you alright?" Zekas asked, voice laced with concern as he brought smoothies.
I nodded, "Yes Zekas. I'm alright."
He nods and sits under an umbrella, observing me. Shado and Austin were taken somewhere else by my father to a 'so called' mission to assist Derek's agent on a mission. I wonder what for?
I looked around to see Travis talking to Katelyn, Aphmau and Kim while
Laurance, Garroth, Dante and Zane were playing volleyball.
"Hah! We beat you!" Laurence yelled.
"Shut up! You only won because Garroth had a big impact on the ball!" Zane yelled.
" TEAM GARRANCE WINS AND TEAM ZANTE LOST!" Laurence yelled.
" SUCK IT UP ZANE!" Laurence teased.
Dante burst out into laughter as Garroth stood there dumbfounded. It was clear that Zane was fuming.
"NO YOU SUCK IT UP!" Zane yelled.
I sat there laughing and couldn't help but feel a positive feeling that everything was now okay.
"You seem happy?"
"GAH!"
I suddenly kicked whoever spoke beside me.
"YOUCH! HEY!" A female voice exclaimed.
I turned to my side to see Lucinda fixing her hair and casting a spell.
"Jeez. What's got you hyper vigilant?" She asked, rolling her eyes.
"You scared me!"
She just laughs, "It's what we do."
I rolled my eyes at her and she just smiled.
"It's nice to see you again." She said before walking off.
"Uhhh. Are you okay?" Zekas asked.
I turned to him and shook my head.
"That witch is crazy" I said shaking my head in disbelief.
"She seems powerful for a witch. She teleported here without losing energy. Now that's something I'd be jealous of." Zekas said.
I turned to Zekas and saw how he admired having powers.
"Imagine being able to phase around and get to places easier? It would be so time saving and we'd be able to get out of situations easier." Zekas said in awe.
I smiled, "Maybe in a nother life you will?? Imagine Zekas the phase master? That would be so cool!" I said trying to cheer him up.
"I believe I would be still in the lowest ranking position in another life." Zekas said smiling at me.
I playfully punched his shoulder, "Don't say that! You'd be the best!"
"If it were a magical world, Princess, I would lose it immediately or would be pushed to sacrifice their powers for the greater good." Zekas said looking into the ocean.
I looked at the ocean and sat down on my blanket.
"I wonder what our lives would be if there was magic."
"I'd believe you'd truly be a royal, knowing your family rank here. I'd say you'd still have us as your guards." Zekas said, sitting beside me.
"That's true. But, what if there was a threat? What would I even do?"
"Hmm. You could fight it or run from it. Maybe go to another dimension?" Zekas said, shrugging.
"No...the problem would still follow because of the guilt...I mean...Imagine being royalty and running from your dimension, leaving behind everyone... Your duties...your family...your friends...Even if the new world was safe...it wouldn't be the same..." I said, hugging my knees.
"You wouldn't rush going home would you?" Zekas asked calmly.
"If in another life I was still like this... Then...I might consider it..."
"It's not like we're not here to help." He said.
I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. I looked up at Zekas and saw him smiling.
"You're doing better now and I believe your other selves are doing the same." He said in comfort.
I smiled, "I believe you would as well."
"Thanks Zekas..."
"Alright! Everyone! Come closer." I heard my father's voice.
I turned around and saw hin standing there with a huge smile on his face.
"Come on now, Princess." He said, gesturing me to come closer.
I immediately got up and the others followed. We were now crowding my father.
"What's this about?" Zane asked.
"Good day everyone. I know you're enjoying your stay in O'khasis so far. It's been a pleasure having all of you here and spending your here time with each other like you used to. This year has been Aphmau and my darling daughter's year. They have both faced trauma and are recovering rather well." Father said looking at me.
I looked down. What was he trying to do?
"To celebrate their recovery, I would like all of you to go to the mall and dress up nicely tonight."
I gasped and looked up at my father. He was now smiling with sincerity.
"W-where are we going?" Garroth asked.
"Well, we're going to a ball at the old O'khasis castle."
"A BALL?!" Everyone said in shock.
Dad laughed and looked at us with his brows up in joy.
"Yes! Now, go to Ms. Donna for your fits. I expect all of you to be there. " Father said.
I looked up at him and smiled.
" A ball..." I said in awe.
"Mr. Zvhal may lead you there. He is quite a topic at the boutique." Father said, grinning.
"Eheh...Oh Irene." Laurence seemed mortified at the idea.
"Y/n! Do you hear that? We get to wear pretty ballgowns!" Aphmau said swiping my attention from Laurence.
"I know! Isn't that amazing!" I squealed.
"Oh no way am I wearing ballgowns," Katelyn said.
"I bet you'd like the boutique. Trust me. You will love the choices you'll find." Garte said.
~TIMESKIP~
We soon arrived at the boutique. Everything looked so luxurious. The wooden floorboards and small plants in the areas gave off a cottage core or somewhat medieval feel to it. The lights were lit with warm light. It felt like we were in a magical land filled with dresses and one already caught Aphmau's eyes.
"Wow...This is perfect..." Aphmau said, approaching it.
Aphmau wasn't kidding. A purple gown was placed in front of her. The little ruffles made it look so beautiful. It's like the dress was meant for her.
"I-I'm just gonna get out of here before the owner comes out," Laurence said as he tried to make his way through the door.
"What? Why?" I said, tilting my head to the side a bit in confusion.
"She's uhh--" Laurence looked nervous.
"Style freak." He whispered.
"A style freak? Now that's just rude, Laurence. " A voice said behind him.
"Oh, Irene..." He groaned.
"Wait...that voice..." Aphmau said turning to the entrance of the boutique.
"I'd rather be stylish than out of style, darling. And you sir, look like a walking trash can." the woman said, backing up Laurence.
We see him freeze and then slowly turn around. A woman with orange hair, pale blue eyes, and fair skin, stood in front of Laurence.
"Cadenza!? Is that really you??" Katelyn said, surprised.
"Cadenza?" I said trying to remember who that was.
The woman turned to face us and she immediately smiled.
"KATELYN! APHMAU! KIM! My beautiful ladies!" Cadenza said running in to hug them.
I stood there as they all talked to each other. It didn't feel like I knew her. I racked my brain for any idea of her.
"Uhh. Y/n, are you alright?" Laurence asked, approaching me.
Everyone's attention turned to me. Laurence stood beside me and I couldn't help but blush.
"You looked dazed out." He said calmly.
"Oh right! This is Y/n. Y/n Ro'meave. The little sister of the Ro'meave brothers." Aphmau introduced me to Cadenza.
I looked at Cadenza and can't help but found confusion in her eyes.
"Y/n? Y/n Ro'meave?" Cadenza said studying me.
"Ah yes! I remember. You're the little darling they had to bring around during events in O'khasis. You were so little back then! Oh my, how you've grown." Cadenza said giddily.
"Events?"
"Yes! You were really small before when your parents would come here, by the docks, with you wearing a small princess gown. You are highly respected here in O'khasis. You were once the Crowned princess in the O'khasisnian castle as the jewel of the city." Cadenza said in awe.
"My mother made your dress which was stunning! Oh, the old days..." Cadenza said, almost lost in thought.
"It truly was a sight to see," Laurence said as he looked at me with a smile on his face.
"So. Going back to our topic. I'm a 101 % sure you were told to come to my boutique to choose one of the most stunning dresses we've ever had." Cadenza said and we all nodded in agreement.
"Alright! Crumb!" Cadenza called.
A puppy emerged from the curtains.
"AWROW!" It said.
"This is Crumb. My puppy. He'll show you the gowns that I've separated at the request of Zianna Ro'meave, your mother, Y/n." Cadenza said as she gave me a warm smile.
I nodded and smiled at her. "Thank you, Cadenza."
"No. Thank you, Y/n."
