Once again you found yourself walking through the bustling areas of the big city, camouflaging amongst the many groups of people that wandered through the streets to get to their respective destinations.
The past few days you had been busying yourself with all sorts of work, no matter how useful or small the job was in hindsight. You had done all sorts of things to busy yourself like working on getting more information, possibly stalking, and other miscellaneous doings.
Though this had caused you to miss out on multiple of "the gangs" adventures and rendezvous such as a race, in which you actually saw- just without anyone's knowledge.
Your feet had finally lead you to a destination you had found yourself visiting more and more often as the days and even weeks passed by, Pigsy's restaurant.
As you moved over the beaded curtains your eyes wandered to a sort of ceremony happening in quote- a thanks for Mk's diligent work. As your eyes layed on the man on the scrap podium.. your whole body stood still
This man is not who he seems.
Something.. an odd feeling arose within you as you made eye contact with this man for a spit second and you swore. You saw a glint of madness and insanity in his eyes
You kept yourself quiet as you sat down on one of the empty tables.
Soon his speech ended and he soon slowly walked out of the restaurant, but as he was approaching the exit- he looked at you for a brief moment, almost like he knew what you were thinking about.
"Good Afternoon, Tang. May i ask who that person was?"
You said as you calmly approached Tang who was a bit startled by your presence
"Oh! Y/N i didn't notice you there. That guy was the mayor, or so he claims"
Tang shrugged as he went back to eating noodles
"Woahh.. a door that can unlock anything.."
These words uttered by Mk cause Mei and him so suddenly go an a montage of some sorts, unlocking multiple different thing, door, places and even arcade games.

As Mei and Mk were joyfully laughing at how Pigsy was struggling to open the shop, a loud boom suddenly interrupted the joyous moment.
They were both thrown off the balcony that was now engulfed in flames, before they could hit the group you quickly caught them and place them both on their feet
"Noodle boy! Finally!"
From the engulfing flames emerged, Redson with with a wide grin on his face
"What are you doing in Mk's house???-
You better not have touched my stuff-!"
The duo exclaimed as you stood there just watching everything unfold, only participating if needed
"Do you know how long I've been waiting here for you?! Your house is.. depressing, i almost feel bad taking things from you"
Redson said with sarcasm dripping from his words
"buuttt, I'm going to need that magic key~"
The prince continued as he reached his arm out as if ordering them to just give up the key.
The key that was on the ground near the duo was now floated towards Redson who practically just yoinked it
"not really my place to do anything.."
You shrugged to yourself as you watched the three get into a bit of banter before they quickly set off
"I almost forgot, I'm supposed to be watching them.."
You said you yourself with a sigh as you pushed your hair back. You dug your foot into the cement as you used a powerful jump to hop from building to building, following closely behind the three
"Odd.. why would Redson and -in extension, The Demon Bull King need a key? If they really wished to open any door of sorts, they could by means open it with brute force"
You had put yourself in deep thought as you continued to follow them
"Unless.. whatever it is that they wish to open can't be done so with brute force.."
You jumped down to land behind Mei and Mk. Before your thoughts could wander any further- a silky voice suddenly replied
"Why spoil the surprise?"
"ah, Lady Iron Fan.."
You muttered as you paid no mind to the important thing you should probably be listening to, but your mind and eyes wandered to Redson who was still on the cement floor

Redson grumbled under his breath as he stomped away from the race
"Stupid noodle boy, stupid horse- dragon- girl!"
He said under his breath as the ends of his hair were ablaze.
His tantrum suddenly came to a halt as he felt another presence nearby, he summoned a ring of fire around himself protectively
"Who goes there?! Show yourself before i burn you to crisps-!"
He was suddenly cut off by you landing Infront of him
"Hello Redson."
You said with an bored facial expressions as you raised your hand to a wave, you accidentally got a bit burnt but paid no mind to it
"Y/n?? What are you doing here"
Redson extinguished his flames and crossed his arms
"I was watching the race."
Redson suddenly froze as he heard your words, had she seen what happened? Had she been there the whole time? Had she seen him loose? Had she seen him idioticaly think that he was actually winning a peach of immortality??
A bunch of questions suddenly flooded his mind before he muttered
"So.. you saw everything?"
He asked with an unreasonable facial expressions
"yes."

There was a deafening silence between the two of you
"Ahem. I was here to ask you a question, why did you wish to have that immortal peach so badly"
You asked as you leaned your weight from one foot to another
"And why should I tell you that-!?"
"We had a deal, no?"
Redson stiffened as he heard your words. Your words seemed to be a warning if sorts, as if he got a glimpse of your true personality since he always saw you as an aloof, blunt, cold and calculating warrior
"Fine.. but we have a deal remember! If you dont keep your mouth shut-
Before he could erupt in flames again, you waved your hand dismissively and promised him, plus- you were never one to back down from a deal
"I needed to give it to my parents as a proof of my -amazing- capabilities!"
He said as he was back to his usual egotistical self
"Oh. That's it?"
Redson looked at you with a perplexed expression on his face. What did you mean "that was it?" Had you expected more? Did you want more? Were you expecting a different answer???
"Well- uhm.. My Father has also been looking for a source of energy! Mhm- and they- i mena, we have recently dig into a huge chest in the ground-'
He said as he was not about to seem like he depended on her to carry on their deal. Everything going accordingly to you plan.
" Oh? "
You said as you made yourself seem interested but not too interested that it would spark suspicioun within Redson

You though to yourself as you pondered on what their reasoning to aquire a power source is- obviously for their "world domination" but something about this felt sketchy.. it wasn't that you thought Redson wasn't telling you the truth- but more like Redson didn't know the truth.

You decided to pick him up by the back of his coat collar to help him stand up a bit and you casually went back to watching Mk and Mei be flung by Iron Fan. Unbeknownst to you, Redson looked at you with a perplexed expression
Redson quickly shook his head and scrambled to grab the key as Iron Fan put down her weapon
"Come Redson, we have things to do."
"Thanks for the key losers!!"
A gust of wind swirled through the air as they vanished
"Y/n?? Why didn't you do anything?? You could've easily beaten Redson!"
Mk exclaimed as he got up and dusted himself
" My apologies, i thought you were not in need of my assistance. "
You said with a small shrugg
" So you're willing to help- but we have to ask first?? "
Mk asked with his brows furrowed
"Yes."

"What could they have needed that key for, anyways?"
Mei asked as she also dusted herself
"I am not sure. My advise is for you two to keep your guards up and discuss anything you find suspicious, to me. "
You said as the two replied with a nod

You decided to hang out at the rooftop of the dojo for a bit since it was your favorite spot during night time. After the whole key fiasco, everyone didn't seem to care that much anymore and just went back to their usual routine, Mk delivering food and Mei going back to her home.
But your mind still wandered to the odd things that had happened throughout the day, a key that could unlock any door and a secret chest imbedded in the ground- you would have to be an idiot if you could put two and two together.
And then you remembered that man, the one who claimed to be the mayor. He was surely an odd one, he had a new and unfamiliar aura to him but you swore when he looked at you, you felt a familiar gaze for a spit second. Who was this man? You would have to find out and find out soon.
Your thoughts were interrupted with the sound of the rooftop door opening
"Oh. I didn't know you were home already."
A voice from behind you spoke, you could easily assume that it was Macaque
"Nothing important really happened today."
You said nonchalantly as you leaned down by the edge of the building, over looking the busy street below it
Macaque decided to walk closer towards you, his footsteps dragged along the messy concrete of the roof, he decided to sit beside you on the railing but you finally noticed how his attire had changed
"Say, what do you think of my new outfit?"
He says with a bit of a joking tone rather than seemingly asking for actual fashion advice from you, after all- you were the weirdo who was always wearing armour
You turned around and was faced with Macaque who- instead of wearing his usual tank-top and rather.. lazy garments, he now wore something akin to his old clothes back when he was still.. allies.. with Wukong
"Looks decent."
You said with a odd look on your face, which made Macaque question what the tone of your voice meant.
This was a common thing that happened between the two of you, you were rather.. unexpressive, when it came to almost any form of topic.
But for some odd reason it never turned the atmosphere between the two of you awkward. Despite how shady Macaque would be sometimes you were arguably equally as shady if not even more suspicious than him.
"I-
Before Macaque could continue he suddenly felt a ringing noise in his ear as his soul felt like it was being tugged at. He stood frozen with a horrible feeling within himself
He looked at you, looking any signs that you might have felt the odd feeling aswell- and surely enough he noticed how you flinched ever so slightly

"You felt that too, didn't you?"
He said in a gruff voice as he looked at you with furrowed eyebrows
