Douma's POV:
"We're here!"
Finally. Koyuki had been nagging the entire ride- Anyway, she stopped her nagging as all of us looked out the window on her side. The carnival was...oh shit.. Isn't that...the same carnival me and Kokushibo went to before we made the promise?! Nonononono! Why here? Out of all the carnivals that they could have chosen, why did it have to be this one?! I looked over at Kokushibo, only to see that he had the same reaction as me. Shocked, regret for agreeing to come. And also a hint of guilt. I did some deep breathing. It's all in the past, no point fretting over it now. "Douma? Are you alright?" Koyuki asked, concerned.
I put on my usual smile and told her I was alright, and was just thinking about how much fun we'll have there. She seemed to have bought it and smiled back, then started to discuss with Oroki where all of us should go first. "Alright, enough chit-chat ladies, we should get out of the car already." Hakuji interrupted, unlocking all the doors.
As soon as we got out of the car, Koyuki grabbed Hakuji's hand and urged him to quickly finish locking the car so they can go into the carnival. Well, wonder what I should to right now- Out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of a cotton candy stand. In an instant, all my worries and problems vanished, and I pointed to it and turned to Akaza. "Akaza, Akaza! There's a cotton candy stand! Let's go, LET'S GO!!!" I exclaimed to him, tugging on his arm and practically shaking with excitement.
He looked over to where I was pointing and groaned, telling me about the enormous sweet tooth I had and how I would probably buy the whole stand if I could. "Oh! You want to go there first, Douma-san? Alright!" Koyuki said, smiling, and the others agreed.
I saw Kokushibo staring at me but I payed no attention and ran ahead of everyone else. "Hey! Douma, wait up!!!" The others shouted behind me.
After Douma got a few sticks of cotton candy...
Ahh, the sweet goodness. I thought as I stood in front of the cotton candy stand, nibbling on a stick of cotton candy. Shime was curled around the back of my neck, with her front and rear legs dangling from my shoulders, purring and nuzzling my neck as I consumed my treat. I wasn't exactly sure how she even learnt how to do that, but it made her look cool so that's all that matters, even if it attracted quite a large amount of unnecessary attention. "Guys, come on! Follow me I want to show you all something special they have this year." Hakuji said, motioning us to come along as he and Koyuki started to walk away from the cotton candy stand. Kokushibo and Oroki followed closely behind. Akaza and I walked a few meters behind them. "Wonder what it is. Got a clue?"
I looked straight at him and shook my head. "Nope! But I sure hope it's edible!"
Akaza cocked an eyebrow and side eyed me, as if I had said something stupid. "Seriously? God, you're such a foodie, especially for sweets."
I tried to think of a comeback but couldn't, so all I could do was puff out my cheeks and finish up my cotton candy. Suddenly, I got an idea. I smacked the back of his head before running ahead of him. "HEY!" Akaza shouted, chasing after me.
"Alright you both, enough childish behavior. We are already in front of the surprise, so stop running already." Hakuji said in a sharp tone, which scared me and Akaza so we stopped. "Finally. Anyways, what do you both think? It's a two person 'boat' ride! This is perfect considering the fact that we have two couples. You two will have to wait outside, or grab a ride together if you want to, since this isn't limited to couples only. Either way, you'll have to deal with each other till we're done, so might as well grab a ride. Goodluck~"
Oroki and Kokushibo came right after he finished talking. "Woah! A ride for two?! This is great! Let's go quickly!" Oroki said as soon as she spotted the ride, dragging Kokushibo towards it.
We followed them and went to talk with the person in charge of the ride. "Ah, couples eh? I can tell by the wedding rings that 4 of you are married. How sweet! You're in luck right now! Three boats just came back, so you can go in two by two. Have fun!"
Hakuji and Koyuki went in the first boat, then Kokushibo and Oroki went in the one after. I was a bit hesitant about going on a ride with just Akaza, after what had happened at my house. "We'll see you after the ride!" Oroki said to us and waved and the boat got closer to a pitch black tunnel. Even after Kokushibo and Oroki's boat vanished into the dark tunnel, I still hadn't made my decision, till a voice spoke up. "Well? Ye both are a couple too, ain't ya? Go on, don't ya wanna ride? You can take the cat along with ya if that's what yer' worried 'bout!"
Wha- "Sir, you've got it all wrong! We're just friends, nothing more really!" I told him, starting to get flustered which wasn't helping at all.
The guy laughed and shook his head. "Really now? Yer red face says otherwise. And ya don't have to hide it, this carnival's crew supports 'ight? No homophobia 'ere!" He said with a grin.
Before I could continue trying to convince him that me and Akaza weren't a couple, Akaza grabbed my hand and led me to the boat. "Come on, we don't have all day. Just ride it for God's sake." With that, he made me sit on the boat, then sat next to me.
After both of us had settled down, the guy signaled to his colleague who was in charge of the controls that we were ready to start the ride. Shime had stopped purring jumped down from my neck to rest on my lap since she didn't like even the sight of water, and because she knows that she can get seasick easily, even if it's not an actual boat. So long as it moves and there's sounds of splashing, she will throw up. I held her close and made sure she was as comfortable as possible. It worked because Shime started to purr again and fell asleep. I smiled at this as the ride started and the boat went into the dark tunnel ahead...

Oroki's POV:
"We'll see you after the ride!" I said to Akaza and Douma, waving to them.
Douma seemed unsure of whether he should ride or not, but I'm certain he and Akaza figure it out eventually! Soon, we were engulfed by darkness and I felt really excited about what was next. "Ne, Oroki. May I...talk to you about something?"
I turned to my "husband" and smiled at him. "Of course!" I said, wondering what it could be. There sure we're a lot of surprises today!
He took a deep breath, before looking at me with a serious face. "Why did you...arrange the marriage? We've never even met before it and you wanted us to be married?! Why!? I had a boyfriend, but because of that stupid forced marriage, I had to break up with him. I had to act like I wanted to, the devastated look on his face was really hard to watch. He even faked a smile thinking I wouldn't be able to tell..."
I looked at him with wide eyes. Hold on, he wasn't the one who arranged it?! I knew this was not the time but...I felt like laughing. It was really quite funny if you think about it closely. I stifled a giggle as Kokushibo glared at me and frowned. "I'm being serious! You have to tell your dad to get mine to cancel this marriage thing, I don't like you! I may be Bisexual, but I love the person I used to date! So please! My dad won't let me divorce with you if you don't!"
That's when I couldn't keep it in anymore. I burst into fits of laughter, laughing so hard the fake boat started to sway a little. "Sorry, sorry. It's just hilarious that you thought I was the one that arranged the marriage, when all this time, I thought it was you! I didn't have a choice! My dad wanted to marry you for the money, I'm usually not the type to hold a grudge against someone but, it's really pathetic. Marrying off his own daughter, just so he could get half your company's share of earnings. So technically, I'm not the one that can cancel this, you are. You have to tell your dad the reason why mine wanted me to marry you. If not, we'll be stuck like this for a looonnnggg time."
I slumped myself against the boat, out of breath from saying so many things at once. I wonder how Koyuki does it... Kokushibo stared at me for a few moments before turning away. "So...you really aren't the one who arranged it?"
I gave him a side eye, and sighed deeply. "No. There's no way I'd fall in love with you, Hun. I'm lesbian."
He looked at me closely before heaving a sigh of relief. "That's good. But why are you still calling me 'Hun'?"
"Too lazy to say your actual name. It is waaayyy too long." I replied, realizing that the ride was going to end soon when I saw a bit of light ahead of us. "Wow, did we really talk that long? We missed the whole ride! I didn't even get to see the little puppets that the poster at the entrance said were going to be here. Aw man..."
"I did."
I gave Kokushibo a "Seriously?!" face. "Well, why didn't you tell me! Awww man, we can't go again since the others are probably going to have to wait if we do!" I huffed.
He rolled his eyes and told me go get out since we already arrived. Hakuji and Koyuki ran over and greeted us. "Now we just need to wait for the other two before we continue." Hakuji said, hugging Koyuki's waist.
I blinked at him, surprised. "They went on the ride?"
He nodded before nuzzling Koyuki's neck. They looked absolutely adorable together! Just then, boat emerged from the tunnel. That must be them! Douma was lying down on Akaza's lap with Shime in his arms, while Akaza was petting Douma's head. I swear, couples are so cute! I kinda wish I was like that with my crush... I turned to Kokushibo to see him...mad?! Wait, why is he mad- Oh. Don't tell me he used to date one of them...oh no. This was not going to end well. Douma woke up and immediately got off Akaza as soon as he realized we were staring. I could help but chuckled a little. Tho, who did Kokushibo date tho? Douma or Akaza? I'm going to go with Douma, because from when I first interacted with him after the wedding, I could already guess that he was a bottom. And the way Akaza made him flustered at his house practically proved my point. "So, how was the ride, Douma-san" I asked, still fangirling a little.
He looked at me and blushed really hard. "It...was fine. It was great really, but Shime didn't like it, so let's go somewhere else!" He stuttered, before pulling Akaza away with him, Hakuji and Koyuki following right behind. I was about to follow them too, bit Kokushibo stopped me. "Just need to check, you really don't love me? We can divorce, right?"
"I'm going to say this one last time, yes we can. But I'll still live with you since my dad will most probably come for me after, ok?" I assured him.
He nodded and we both went to catch up with the others. "Oh, right. And give me some relationship advice, won't you? I have a crush on someone and could really use some real soon." I blurted out before we got too close to the others.
"Ha. Alright, sure. Good luck with that." I laughed and elbowed him in the ribs, causing him to laugh too.
I caught Douma looking at us as we were laughing. I could also see that he was wearing a fake smile, with a hint of sadness in his eyes. I smiled at him and he returned one, even though it wasn't a genuine one. Welp, he's getting his mans back soon anyways, so I'll be looking forward to making sure nothing goes wrong. I hope...
