I came out of the bathroom to see Durk on the balcony smoking
"You okay papa?"I asked as I sat next to him as he exhaled the smoke
"I'm cool...just thinking...I should be asking you that."he said as he glanced over at me
"I already told you I'm fine...as long as I'm witchu I'm good"I said honestly as I intertwined our fingers
He kissed my lips
"You talked to yo momma?"he asked
"Not yet..why?"I asked as he took another puff
"She was calling you while you was sleep."he said as he exhaled the smoke
"How you know that..you looked at my phone?"I asked while chuckling
"I got bored."he said
"Uh un..gimme yo shit."I said as I put my hand out

"Lemme see yo phone."I said
"Why?"he asked
"Cause you went thru mine...why you ain't tryna lemme see yo phone Durk?"I asked as my smile faded
"Why you getting mad?"he asked

I got up trying to walk away but forgetting that we was still holding hands so Durk just pulled me back

I grabbed my suitcase as he came back into the room
"Where you think you going?"he asked as he put his blunt in the ashtray
"Back to my mama house."I said honestly

That's when Durk pushed me on to the bed, got on top me and wrapped his arms around me

"So why I can't see yo phone?"I asked
"Cause..it's some shit in there..ion want chu to see"he explained

That's when his phone rung
"Who the hell is calling you?"I asked
He pulled out his phone and looked at it

"Wassup gang.......so deal wit it...I ain't coming down thea right now....I'm gone be gone a couple days...aight...aight twin."he said before he hung up
"Everything okay?"I asked
"Yup...you know what I was thinking ma?"he asked

"I was thinking about getting a crib...in Atlanta."he said
"What..what about Chicago..what about cho friends and yo family?" I asked
"I ain't leaving leaving...I'll be back and forth."he said
"So you gone leave me in a house in Atlanta while you get to still be in Chicago?" I asked
"I'm only coming back for business"he said
"That don't make it any better..you prolly gone be gone for days at a time."I said

He looked at me like I was crazy.

"I'm great baby...I was calling to let you kno that I was cooking Sunday dinner tomorrow night..you and Durk should come over"she said
I looked at Durk who was on his phone.

"I'm making your favoriteee"she teased
I sighed
"Fine..we'll be there"I said as he looked at me
"Okay honey..I love you..see you then!"she said

"What happened?"he asked
"My mom invited us to dinner tomorrow night."I said

"Hi Honey."my mama said wit a big smile on her face

"How you doing Mrs.Fletcher?"Durk asked wit a smile
"I'm fine...how about chu?"she asked

"Where's daddy?"I asked
That's when he came downstairs
"Hey baby girl."he said

"Well...Dinner is almost ready..Ariana can you help me set the table please."my mama said

We all sat at the table eating salmon, rice and peas.
"Well."my mom said
"What?"I asked wit a chuckle
"How did yall meet?"my mom asked
I chuckle again and so did Durk
"Actually it was a accident..literally..I accidentally hit her car."he said
"Oh...really?"my dad asked as he looked at me
"Yes...it was accident..and it was only a dent..and it's fixed now, good as new." I said
"Durk..how old are you?"My dad asked
"23."Durk answered
"And what exactly do you do for a living?"he asked
"Daddy, can you pass me the salt?"I asked trying to change the subject.
That's when HIM AND DURK BOTH GRABBED THE SALT AT THE SAME TIME.
I gasped before I covered my face.
"Ariana."my mom said wit a shocked look on her face.
"Excuse me for a moment."I said as I got up
I went upstairs, and into the bathroom and locked the door.
I paced back in forth as I heard a knock on the door.
"Ma..you Aight?"Durk asked
"No!"I said
"Come back to dinner..aight?"he asked
"No..I'm embarrassed"I said as I rubbed my face
"Everything is aight..I promise."he said
I sighed as I opened the door
"Why did you do that?!"I asked
"It was a mistake..I apologize."he said
I took a deep breathe.
"Come on."he said as he put his hand out.
I grabbed it and we went back downstairs and sat back down.
"You okay now?"my mom asked
"Yea."I said shyly
"How about we start over?"my dad asked
I nodded as I ate some peas
"Ari..how's school going?"My mom asked
"Good...I'm just ready to graduate"I said as I cut my salmon
It quiet for a moment cause everyone was eating
"Durk..do you plan on marrying my daughter?"my dad asked
He looked at me
"Yea...I mean we only known each other a couple of months..but I see longevity...I see marriage and maybe sum kids."he said
I smiled
"Okay..that's good.."my mom said
She smiled
