I had told my parents I didn't want to go to school today and just have them take my friends to school with out me. It was pretty boring, I just played pokemon leaf green on my Gameboy the whole morning. Then I heard my mom burts through my room.
Yami's Mom: Yami sweetie! You need to come with me!
Yami: Ever heard of knocking, Mom? and jeez, who do you look so-
Yami's Mom: It's Kuro-chan! She has been in a horrible accident!
I couldn't believe it, this couldn't be happening, there's no way! I had to make sure she was okay. I quickly got dressed up and got in the car.
Yami: Mom.... what happened to Kuro?
Yami's Mom: She..... was hit by a drunk driver. Kuro-chan just crossed the street when it all happened so suddenl-*starts sobbing*
Yami: Mom.. the road
Yami's Mom: Right.. I'm sorry sweetie
I wanted to cry too, but I was too mad that the cause was by a stupid person who got her hurt. Before I knew it, we arrived at the hospital and waited for Kuro's results. The people with us were, Me, Mom, Kurohime's Mom, Hana and Ryuu
*Doctor Enters*
Kurohime's Mom: Please doctor, is my daughter okay?
Doctor: I am afraid to tell you the injuries were too severe and she is beyond saving
Hana: Oh no...
Ryuu: Kurohime.....
Yami: *snaps* Don't give me that! Isn't your job to heal people!? Your just going to give up like that!? I won't forgive you if you let her die!
Yami's Mom: Sweetheart! *hugs Yami* The Doctor did his best, we can't blame him
Yami: But....But...Kuro....
Doctor: What I can offer is for you to say your goodbyes to her, before she passes.
Kurohime's Mom: How much time do we have?
Doctor: 30 minutes
Kurohime's Mom: Okay...
We all entered her room, she was covered by a blanket, covering her injuries, but she looked so sad. I never saw her this sad.
Kurohime: Hi.. Everyone..
I couldn't stand it, I bolted out the room, That was always my answer, running away. I was just clenching my fists of how weak I am.
Yami's Mom: Yami, what's wrong?
Yami: I don't want to see her go, Mom
Yami's Mom: Yami, Death is a part of life, every body dies someday
Yami: Yeah but it's so soon, it's just so soon
Yami's Mom: I'm sorry but we can't do anything about that, what we can do now is give her a proper farewell. You wouldn't want her last memory of you would be you running away right?
Yami: *clears throat* Yeah, I guess
Yami: Now let's go say good bye
We enter the room and everyone had said their farewells even Mom. Now.... it was my turn
Yami: Your really mean you know that?
Kurohime: *chuckles* tell me something I don't know, silly
Yami: I never really answered your question from last night did I?
Kurohime: Hmmm?
Yami: It's you, okay?*starts crying* I love you! I want to have a relationship with you! I want to marry you! I want to have kids with you! I want us to have a happy life! So please, please, please....Don't go, Kuro!
Kurohime: Oh Yami.... I.....
The one memory I can never forget but still remember, is seeing her hand fall on her bed lifelessly as her pulse stopped.
Yami: At least finish what you gotta say, idiot....*sobs*
