I shut the door as Miguel and I walked into my room. He flopped down on my bed, and I flopped down next to him. I could see out of the corner of my eye that he turned his face to look at me. I turned my head towards him, making eye contact. He smiled, looking at my eyes, then my lips, then my eyes again. I smiled back at him, moving my face closer.
He leaned in, kissing me softly but passionately. He smelled of cologne and slightly of citrus. His soft lips tasted like mango. I kissed him back and put a hand on his cheek. He lifted us up so that we were sitting now. I felt his hands on my hips move me so I was now sitting on his lap. We kissed for a few minutes until he pulled away.
"What?" I asked, scared that I did something. He smiled, saying, "I think I'm in love with you, Y/n L/n." Holy shit. Finally. I exhaled happily, pulling him into a kiss again. I broke it, saying, "I love you too, Miguel. So much."
After we made out for another few minutes, we were laying on my bed, my head on Miguel's chest. We were sitting in silence, and although it wasn't awkward, I felt like I needed to say something. "Miguel?" I asked. "Yes?" He responded. I inhaled sharply, and exhaled, taking a deep breath. "Is.. this, is this okay?" I finally asked. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Um, I don't know. I just... I think that this is a bit fast. I don't want to hurt you. I don't want to hurt our relationship." I said. "Y/n, what?" He asked.
I sat up, exhaling. "I said, I don't know whether to think if this is okay or not. I mean, you're my best friend, but isn't this a bit, you know, all of a sudden?" I snapped. He sat up, confused. A moment passed. "Y/n, I love you." He said firmly. "And I love you too. It's just..." I trailed off. "No, no, don't say that. It's just what? Tell me." He said, a hurt, somewhat angry expression crossed his face. "Mikey... I don't know what to say, I..." "No, it's fine. I know how you feel. You don't have to go and feel sorry for me." He said, standing up and walking out the door. "Miguel, wait." I said, getting up to stop him. "Leave me alone, Y/n. I'm gonna go get some fresh air." He said, not even turning around to look at me.
