Your Presence Haunts Me (Uncompleted)
On cold snowy nights, days before December, families, loved ones, and friends all snuggle around each other to warm each other up. The heaters are turned on, hot cocoa is made, and preparation for Christmas are made.
Sales happen more often around this time, making it convenient for people to give away things or to gift gifts.
Had nothing ever happened to Rosemi, maybe Selen would be enjoying this sick season, but Rosemi forever haunts Selen, as much as Reimu bothers her friends with her bantering.
Rosemi floats around Selen, bothering her by getting in her way, by staring at her, by speaking when somebody else talks to her. Rosemi was having too much fun with trolling her.
Selen groans as she finally lays down on her bed, Rosemi laying down next to her.
"Sorry, did I make you mad?" She snickered.
"Nah, just annoyed with what you did again."
Rosemi laughed, her laughter still as melodic as Selen first heard it.
"It's fun being a spirit, don't know how you can see me though!"
"It's only fun because you get to bother me." Selen rolls on her side to look at Rosemi.
"Yea, thanks for putting up with me!"
"Anything for a dead person." They both laughed.

"What do you think will get me to go up?" Rosemi pokes Selen's nose as she shovels snow off her porch.
"I dunno, maybe when you help me with my chores?"
"Aww, Selen, you know I can't hold anything in this form."
"Just pull a Reimu." Selen shrugged and continued to shovel more snow away.
"Okay, give me your shovel." Rosemi puts both her hands out.
Selen gives her the shovel, it instead of landing on Rosemi's hand, falls down onto the snow and wood.
"Fuck, never mind then." Selen picks it up and continues to shovel the snow away.
"Let's ask Reimu how to get me up!"
"Why didn't we do that in the first place." Selen deadpanned.

"Hello? Reimu, can you hear me?"
"Yup, I can hear you, Selen!"
"Okay, quick question, how do you get a ghost to go up or down or whatever it is ghosts do."
"What why? Are you haunted?"
"Yea, haunted by Rosemi."
"She died?!" Reimu was puzzled, "Isn't she like, Satan though?"
"I don't fucking know if she is!"
"Wow, well, ummm, I don't really know either, but I guess just fulfill a wish she has or something she wanted to do before."
"Okay, thanks Reimu, bye, and goodnight?"
"Yes, goodnight." Reimu deadpans.
Selen looked around blankly.
"Did Reimu tell you how?" Rosemi appeared.
"Yea, but she's not sure if it'll work."
"Well, what is it?"
"Basically about finishing a wish or dream you have."
Rosemi put a finger on her chin, "Hm... Okay, I gotta have some tome to think about it though." She looked at Selen.
"Yea, of course, no problem. I'm gonna head to bed, long day with shoveling." Selen stood up, stretching her arms.
Rosemi followed Selen to her bedroom, laying down near Selen when she lays down.
"Night, Rosemi." She yawns.
"...Night, Selen."
As Selen dozes off, Rosemi watches as Selen shifts around, watching how Selen's chest goes up and down, listening to her breathe, and soon enough, she found herself hearing her heartbeat. It was steady and slow, yet it relaxed Rosemi.

She thinks a lot about her final wishes, none of them seeming right. They tried every idea Rosemi had, from licking a bunch of buildings, to going to amusement parks with friends. Nothing seemed to work.
"Do you even have a final wish, Rosemi?" Selen slouches down the bench, her power cap(ice cream) hanging from her mouth. Rosemi thought that it was too cold for her to be eating ice cream during this season.
"I... I do."
"Well none of them are working. Is your final wish embarrassing or something?" Selen took a bite out of her ice cream.
Rosemi blushed, "Well... Okay, don't hate me for this, Selen.." If Rosemi had a heart, it probably would've bursted out of her. She looked at Selen solemnly, "I've always wanted to, umm."
Rosemi muttered and stuttered a lot, unable to finish her sentences. Selen looked at her confused.
"You wanna go on a date with my sister? If that's what you wanted then you should've said so. Don't know if she can see you though."
Rosemi stared at her, "N-no, Selen, I like you..." Her voice got lower after each word.
"Hmm?"
"I l..ke..... o...." Rosemi spoke too low for Selen to hear.
"What?"
"Agh! Okay! I like you, Selen! I wanna kiss you!" Rosemi huffed heavily.
She was as red as her rose, Selen stared at her with widened eyes. She pointed at herself, "Me?"
Rosemi hid her face with her hands," Yes..."
"If that's what you really want." Selen put her power cap on the bench, leaning towards Rosemi.
"I don't know if the sensation will be the same, but here, full permission to kiss me." Selen's blush was from both the cold and Rosemi.
Rosemi put her hands down, her blush never going away. She leans in to kiss Selen, of course, having to stop where their lips should connect.
"What a funny sensation." Selen chuckled.
Rosemi looked at her with a shy face,, "Selen, I don't think it worked."
"Oh, man. What do we do then?" Selen picked up her power cap, throwing it in the trash.
"Maybe, I'll never go up." She shuddered.
"No, don't be like that Rosemi, of course you will." Selen tried to pat her back, only for her hand to phase through. She lets out a sigh.
"But- but we tried everything." Rosemi sobbed, "If- if what I wanted to do, my desires aren't working, then what will? I don't want to roam forever, not without..." She looked at Selen.
"..You." She spoke quietly enough for Selen to not hear.
"Let's ask Nina, maybe she has a clue."
Selen waves at Rosemi to come with her, their walk home silent. Rosemi watched Selen closely, how her breath would come out as smoke, and how her head wings shook and snuggled up closely to her head. She noticed how despite her ears being hidden behind her wings, they were red. Then, Rosemi looked at her human hand, the tips of her fingers red from the cold, and at her draconic hand, how she kept it in a fist.
The thought thundered in Rosemi's head, how she wanted to hold her hand and warm it. She knows well enough that regardless, her hand would just phase through it, leaving her distressed. Maybe, all she wanted was to hold Selen's hand.
And so, Rosemi did just that. She touched Selen's hand with her pinky, phasing through it and holding Selen's hand. It looked weird, mainly because her hand kept phasing through. It did nothing, as expected.
