ash: that sounds good to me but i think i should try to eat something first.
edward: ok what are you feeling? is everything okay?
ash: ya I'm just nauseous, i think it is from not eating enough but eating something should help that.
edward: why dont we try an orange then.
edward pulls a peeled orange in a baggie out of a backpack in the back seat and hands me a piece. i eat a few pieces before i have to stop. i feel like i am going to get sick but i try to ignore it as i take a sip of water. as soon as the water hits my stomach though i feel like i am going to throw up. i run over to the first tree and i start throwing up behind the tree. i can feel edward holding my hair away from my face and gently rubs my back.
edward: maybe we should go back to the house.
i shake my head no as i rinse my mouth out with my water before i stand back up so we can walk back to the car where edward has me sit down.
ash: its from not eating soon enough, i throw up if i dont eat soon enough or if i eat to late after the nausea started. i cant win either way so i try to eat small snacks through the day so this does not happen.
edward: well im glad i know that now so in a little bit we can try pretzels or something here in a little bit. but are you sure you want to keep looking at houses today?
ash: yes i am sure. it is giving me hope of finding out anything about my family.
edward: you know we may not find anything at all but we could also find something out to help us bring peace.
ash: thats all i can hope for. but lets get going because i know you and you have texted at least carlisle already if not the family group chat about me throwing up.
edward: you are right i texted everyone in the group chat so they knew what was going on.
i nod my head as i get into the car the rest of the way as edward gets in and we start driving. this drive takes longer than the first but i dont mind. as edward drives he hands me one pretzel at a time. as i slowly eat them they settle my stomach but i feel like i cant get enough of them either. but i know i have to pace my self so i dont get sick again. i sip my water as i look out the window. i am not sure what i am looking for but i feel like i should be looking around me in the forest. i feel edward take my hand and i intertwine our fingers. i smile at him as i look out the window again.
edward: so whats on your mind?
ash: just thinking about the possibilities.
edward: like what?
ash: new houses to fix up and decorate so i can have a place for each of us to spend time alone.
edward laughs and i cant help but to smile.
edward: well that is a good idea but you cant over do it. your body is still healing from the beating it took.
ash: i know that and i am trying to make sure i dont push it.
edward: i know you are but i just need to remind you as well from time to time.
ash: well thank you, wait is that the house?
i look in front of us as we pull up to a gate that is shut but not locked and a brick wall going each way away from the gate. as i look more it looks like it goes around the property.
edward: yep this is the place. i will go open the gate you stay put.
i nod my head as he quickly opens the gate and pulls in before he shuts it behind us again. as soon as he is back in the car he pulls up the driveway and in front of the house. as he pulls up i am in shock to see how truly big this house is. its got double doors on the front. edward parks the car and turns it off before he opens my door for me. he helps me out of the car. we walk up to the front door and it is locked so we start looking for a key. for some reason i have a feeling to check the front lights on either side of the door. i open the glass on the first one and i find a key sitting there.
edward: ash you found a key?
ash: yep um im not sure why i even looked here to be honest but i mean it is a good hiding place.
edward: perfect well lets unlock the door and take a look around.
i smile at him as i unlock the door and we walk in. as soon as i step in the door i see marble floors and dusty but super nice looking furniture. as i look closer i can tell it is extremely out dated but it makes me feel better seeing all the dust everywhere because it means the house has been left to sit for years.
edward: ash where do you want to start looking?
ash: if there is an office or a bedroom that is the best place to start.
edward nods his head as he disappears into the house. i start to walk through and i have to fight the tears in my eyes as i look around knowing this house was here for who knows how long and it could of been my mothers or her familys. i wipe the tears from my eyes as i look around but i dont see any pictures. i walk into the kitchen and i sit down at one of the two islands on a stool as i look out the back windows that look onto a overgrown flower garden.
