In the late afternoon, we all take a short break after tending to the horses. Mr Lester is away on business along with his father. This means we can relax a little. Mrs Lester is still around
"Get him," I shout as the pubs run away. The door opens, and in she walks. Mrs Lester.
"What do you think you're doing in here?!"
"I'm sorry, Mrs Lester, we were just..."
"Just wasting my husband's money! Face the wall all of you!"
We do as we're told and face the wall. One arm raised above my head cigarette in the other. I feel her presence as she wanders around the barn. Turning my head smiling.
"Stop smiling! All of you. What were you going to do with the pig?"
"We just try and guess how much they weigh 2" I speak up.
"How much do you suppose I weigh?"
I turn, taking a last drag of my cigarette before throwing it on the floor and standing on it to put it out.
"Do you want me to weigh you?" I laugh. Her demeanour changes. "No, I want you to guess." I walk closer to her. My eyes travelled up and down her body.
I rush towards her, picking her up. You can hear her screaming to be let down whilst everyone laughs. I see one of the maids running off.
She wriggles from my grasp, pushing me and making me fall. Quickly, she departs. We all laugh and carry on as before I see her disappear into the house.
Katherine's POV
I ran up the stairs after having that awful woman she had her dirty... strong ... No! Her filthy hands were on me.
"Ann, who was that person out there with the pigs? Are they new?"
"Yes, ma'am, that was Y/n. The new stablehand."
I nod, walking to my room. After dinner is done, I performed my nightly routine. Sitting by the window, enjoying the breeze when I hear a noise from my door. Hesitantly, I opened it to see no one. a figure emerges from the corner.
"I'm bored Mrs Lester."
"Perhaps you should be more concerned with your work." I close my door, but her head stops me. Iscream for her to stop, but she manages to get in and close the door behind her. "Aren't you bored, Katherine?"
"Get out, you can't call me that." She rushes towards me. I try but fail to fight her. I slap her across the face.
"You can't be in here." I look up at her, her lips glistening. Her shaggy clothes and shirt show the middle of her chest.
Leaning down, she kisses me. I push her away, and she stands unsure of what to do.
Y/ns POV
Why did I do that? What have I done?
Katherine runs towards me, her hand cupping my face, our lips clashing together. I push her back, leaning on top of her. Her dressing gown had slightly parted, showing her breasts.

Katherine's POV
"Did you think the news wouldn't travel of your infidelity?"
I sit on the bed head hung down.
"That's my business."
"NOT IN THIS HOUSE. You shall remain indoors and read the good book and you will fulfil your husband's wishes when he is to return. Duties you have been failing recently!"
I watch as he storms out of the room I lay on my bed waiting for the next day. Running to the stables.
"Y/n.. are you here?" I figure appears from a back room.
"Mrs Lester?"
"Ann yes?"
"Mr Lester beat her and locked her up."
My heart drops. Poor Y/n.
"Where has he put her?"
"He would not say, Ma'am"
I run back to the house.
"Where is she??" I see him on the stairs.
"She is not of your concern anymore." I walk closer to him my voice raised.
"Let her out right now!"
"Maybe you should focus on the inability to give my son an heir."
"Your son has made that impossible by not being here, Let her out let her out now!"
"She will rot for touching you, Katherine."
Before I can even comprehend what I'm doing I've hit him over the head blood gushes from his wound. I find. a key to a small building on our land.
"Oh my god y/n!" I run to her lifting the back of her shirt. Cuts and bruises cover the entire area. I begin to kiss them. Hearing soft sounds shows she is alive.
"Katherine?"
"It's me." Her hand reaches back to find mine, sitting next to her I pull her onto my lap. I hold her impossibly close and she shivers in my arm. how long was she locked in here?
"Why did he tell you?"
"I left him no choice, I found the key on his body."
"Body? did you kill him?" I sit up shocked.
"He locked you up!"
"You killed for me?" I cup her face.
"And I do it again." Her lips quickly on mine in a soft kiss, and she helps me stand taking me to the house.
The next day I stand in the window topless.
"Lift your arms y/n." I lift my arms as she slips a rather grand shirt on me nothing I've ever worn before.
"Now you're the other lady of the house you need to look as such." I button the shirt up and turn to look at her.
"Perfect, you look rather dashing y/n." I smile pulling her in by the waist.
"I love you, Katherine."
After a few more weeks of bliss, we lay in bed our bodies naked I kiss her back.
"Would you ever leave me y/n?"
"Never!" I nibble the soft vanilla-scented skin on her back causing her to turn.
"MA'AM Mr Lester is home." Ann storms the room early enough to warn us. We both shoot up.
"Quicy hide y/n!"
"Why can't we just tell him about us?"
I run gatherin' any item of clothing as Katherine pushes me into a closet.
"Sir you're home?" I listen from the other side.
"You are awake Katherine?"
"I find it difficult to sleep since your father passed."
"Hmm, how did you know I was her?"
"I heard the horses."
"I walked then down the alley."
I hear muffles of a conversation but nothing clear.
"You've gotten fatter Katherine." My eyebrows raised.
"In the face. You've started to smell. Must be to do with that stable girl you've been fucking." I resist the urge to barge to the door down. at the moment.
"Word of you spreading your legs and cunt for any stray dog you find travels far." More hushed conversations. When I hear rather a door open and Katherine throws me on the bed straddling my lap and kissing me. Mr Lester grabs her but I stand pushing him away.
"You stay away from her you hear!" His fist comes towards my face which I dodge and run at him with my shoulder making him keel over. I see Katherine with a fire poker.
"Katherine no!" I grab her hand. "That is not how we settle this, this is not who you are." Katherine lowers the weapon and Mr Lester is on the floor.
"We are leaving, together and down forget I stopped her. Do not come after us. Do not go after her family. Do you understand me?" I take the poker from Katherine pointing it towards him. Pushing it under his chin. "Do you understand me?"
He simply nods.
"Let's go my love. Pack a bag."
"Where shall we go y/n?"
"As far as the horse can take us." I help her onto the back as I get on taking the reigns...
I'd be lying if I said that Mr Lester kept to his promise. We spent years running from place to place but we were always together. Eventually, we settled in Wales. We own a small farm I tend to the animals and crops, Katherine is quite the housewife and a fantastic mother to our children.
I guess the moral of that story is, no matter the situation you're in there is always a way out. (And no I don't mean killing people) So keep trying you will always get what is owed to you it might take longer but it is on its way, and it is getting to you as fast as it can.
A/N if you haven't seen Lady Macbeth I highly recommend it! honestly, I find it hard to believe it was one of her first roles, and she's still so phenomenal that she was honestly born to do what she's doing!!
