Soon the pirate duo made their way around streets after calling in some crew members to meet them later on making their way to the VK's former apartment knowing that must be where they are.
"My sweet Elizabeth, how do you have the most fun when I leave?" Harry laughed, draping his arm around the Sparrow pirate by his side as they walked ahead.
"Oh darlin' I can show you how fun I can be later." Elizabeth chuckled leaning into his arm not intending for it to sound too much but she just owned it when she felt a kiss on her cheek.
The two wasted no time making sure to get to the loft in time before losing track of the group.
Anyone that came passed them steps aside within seconds seeing the two pirates were on a mission it was clear to see that.
While they made their way to the loft Elizabeth couldn't help but feel a shred of guilt considering most of the VKs were still her friends but just as fast as that guilt came it vanished knowing she gave them more than enough time to leave.
As the duo came closer to the loft they tried to make a plan to take the king yet it didn't seem they needed to do much effort.
Elizabeth was the first to spot Ben walk towards them with his head down low almost as if he was trying to ignore everyone and everything.
Seeing the advantage Elizabeth nudged Harry nodding over to the king himself, having the blue eyed pirate grow a mischievous smirk leaving her side as he snuck his way towards Ben.
It didn't even take a minute for Harry to sneak behind Ben knocking him out with his hook.
"You could have simply tied him." Elizabeth raised her eyebrow lifting the rope and cloth in her hand so they could have had an eye on the Beast.
"Now where's the fun in that sweetheart?" Harry jokingly questioned before the two heard the worry calls of the VKs. "Now will you excuse me? I need to scare 'em."
"My, I wonder if he knows how attractive he sounds." Elizabeth mumbled to herself with a slight chuckle letting Harry walk off to do his usual scare while she went ahead tying Ben's arms and legs making sure he wouldn't run hearing his groan.
Soon a couple pirates came up to her so she ordered for two of them to take Ben over to the shack for Uma to see while she made sure to send the other two pirates to the stand where she held the older woman at.
After they left Elizabeth leaned back on the wall waiting for Harry to come back but while she did her mind got lost in the sky seeing how fast the day had actually passed by.
While she was stuck in her trance she didn't realize Harry had been making his way back to her so he took that opportunity himself to move to stand by her side sliding his hand into hers admiring her while she admired the sky.
"What may be on your mind, sweetheart?" Harry leaned on his side keeping his whole focus on her seeing her get her mind back to reality.
"How I am not that attention oriented to time change." Elizabeth smiled slightly, turning to look over to the blue eyed pirate beside her noticing the confusion playing on his expressions. "Didn't realize how this day is almost over."
"Yet I still have not gotten you a proper gift." Harry leaned his head against Elizabeth thinking back how he promised her he'd give her a gift she would enjoy.
"Darlin' once we drop this barrier that would be the best gift you can give me." Elizabeth whispered to him as she stared into his eyes trying her best not to drown in them.
Trying to get back her control Elizabeth leaned back pulling Harry in with her considering he still had his hand in her.
With that the two walked side by side making their way to the shack keeping their hands together not needing to say much though it wasn't as if they had anything to say everything just seemed to run their minds.
Though one thing was for sure they needed to keep their eyes set on the mission.
In no time the two had reached the shack hearing cheers inside so they could only assume the crew had gotten their gift; the cheers only got louder when the two entered.
"Oh how glad am I that I chose you two as my mates!" Uma laughed, reaching over to her first and second mates wrapping her arms around their shoulders while the pirates the duo met up with earlier dragged Ben to the cells.
"All thanks to Elizabeth she's the one that knew where to find the dim." Harry smirked over to the Sparrow pirate knowing that she made it possible.
Uma turned her gaze to her best friend having a grin herself knowing she made a good choice of friend which she showed hugging Elizabeth tighter.
"Dear at least buy me a drink first." Elizabeth jokingly commented after her best friend placed a big kiss on her cheek only having the two fall into a laughing fit.
"People, we are so close to getting that wand!" Uma moved making her way in front of the two catching her crews' attention, having everyone cheer in joy.
"Shut it!" Ursula scolded the crew sliding in her leg snapping it inside, having those that were close enough to get into the action to duck down protecting themselves.
"Mama!" Uma huffed in annoyance after seeing her mother put a pause in their celebration.
"Get back to work!" Ursula ordered her not wanting to hear her complaint as she took back her leg letting her daughter roll her eyes knowing she didn't have a choice but to follow.
"Good job you two." Uma turned back to her mates with a satisfied grin after everyone got back to normal but she didn't give them enough time to respond as she made her way to the kitchen.
"Marvelous job Elizabeth." Harry smirked towards the Sparrow beside him wrapping an arm around her as the two made their way to Gil who was entertaining himself with his food.
"Well thank you darlin'." Elizabeth grinned up to the Hook pirate beside her as she leaned on the table when they got to Gil.
"Hey I did something too. I saw the king and came to tell Uma." Gil looked up to the duo with a frown considering he didn't get a compliment from their best friend like the two did.
"No, you came in here, rushed around and just got the grub." Harry leaned back at the pole looking towards his blond best friend remembering how it all happened.
"I still had the intention of telling her." Gil pointed out the positive as he took a sip from his drink.
"You know what? That does give you points that calls for a celebration. I'll get Uma and we'll have a sip of the good stuff." Elizabeth chuckled hearing the best friends' banter but she also couldn't help feeling joyful knowing they are getting close to freedom.
Without waiting for their response Elizabeth walked away going into the kitchen to get their captain and their favorite drink.
As she walked off Harry looked over to admiration which only grew once he looked through the counter window seeing Uma and Elizabeth share a laugh with one another having this glow radiate from the Sparrow girl.
Seeing his best friend lost in trance Gil couldn't help but question several things. He might be someone who doesn't understand things too well but he wasn't as naïve as he seemed.
Gil could see the way Elizabeth looked at Harry. There were so many words in one look alone yet what she didn't allow herself to see was that Harry looked at her with that same look if not more.
"Remind me again why are you two not together?" Gil questioned the blue eyed pirate looking over to him as he continued to eat.
"Hm? This again?" Harry shook his head getting out of his trance only to sigh knowing where the conversation would go.
"This is a never ending conversation." Gil sent him a look knowing what he meant but he also hoped that it wouldn't have to last for long.
"We're good as we are, leave it at that." Harry huffed, setting his hook down as he leaned on the table glancing over to Elizabeth seeing her distracted still.
"Oh please even a dimwit can see you guys can be more and you want you guys to be more." Gil waved his hand seeing how the two acted yet never acted on it truly.
"Seems like one has." Harry raised his eyebrow sending a look towards the blonde bringing up the previous comment.
"Eh I might be a dimwit, at least I'm not stupid." Gil sent him a look back gesturing each other though that had Harry look at him in confusion. "Please don't you remember how a year ago you and Mal started seeing each other which was weird cause I remember you telling me you were gonna actually take the step with Liz."
"Now what ye want me to do about that? I went to talk to Elizabeth but she had a crowd she was entertaining." Harry reminded his best friend why he didn't go further that day.
"Oh please you wouldn't hesitate a second to scare off those people. That's not why you didn't ask her and that's not why you went to Mal instead. You were too scared to go to Liz." Gil leaned in closer to Harry so no one overhears them knowing that his best friend didn't like that.
"Scared of what?" Harry raised his eyebrow not remembering how much he told Gil as he glanced over to the window seeing Uma and Elizabeth speaking to each other.
"You tell me." Gil shrugged leaning back knowing Harry had his reasons but he wasn't really going to push that out of him.
"Look we're good as we are, why push that and that thing with Mal it was barely anything we both said it was for fun." Harry mumbled thinking back to that day considering it didn't go the way he wanted it to.
"Harry, you guys aren't your parents." Gil reminded him knowing that was a thought he constantly thought about. "Things wouldn't be the same. You guys are here now together, why not enjoy your time the way you both want to cause your other option would be regretting not doing anything and we both know you will feel that eventually because Liz is one of the best out there tons of people would love to be with her and they would fight for her."
Harry sat down holding his head in his hands hearing the blond man in front of him but it didn't mean it would make things easier. It didn't erase the fact that he was worried that when things became real between the two everything would crash down.
Gil let him sit there thinking about what he had to do.
"Now why you lads looking so down? We should be celebrating!" Elizabeth rushed over to Harry's side nudging him with a grin placing the bottle between them as Uma trailed behind matching her smile holding four cups.
"We're just waiting for the good stuff." Gil waved off the comment allowing Harry to get back into reality as Uma handed everyone a cup.
"Well then here you go." Elizabeth filled everyone's cups after filling hers as she leaned her arm onto Harry's shoulder.
"This is for the future, finally having this barrier shatter for once." Uma raised her cup giving a toast sharing a proud look with her three mates.
"Finally having the freedom we deserve." Elizabeth added in sharing a giddy laugh with her best friend not realizing the way Harry's eyes brightened up hearing the joy from her.
Wasting no time the group cheered toasting one another before chucking down their drinks. For a while they all sat there planning their future seeing that they might actually have a shot of a good one.
Everything was good until the doors were pushed open and in came none other than Mal herself.
Seeing her enter, Elizabeth couldn't help but slightly huff, rolling her eyes as she took another swing of her drink, already feeling Uma and Gil's eyes set on her.
"I'm back."
"Oh what joy."

Seems like Harry has his own worries too. What may he do about that? How much do Uma and Gil know about everything? What will happen next with Mal in the Shack and Ben in the cells?
