Christen's POV
"What the hell just happened?" Ali asks.
"I think Kelley tricked her into singing."
"She's really good at it, she was hitting those high notes and everything. A proper natural."
"Am I the only one who's noticed them being really close and touchy?" Ashlyn asks leaning back on the bed.
"How have you not? Hallie was practically on top of Kelley today." Pinoe answers.
"It was cute though." I say.
"Hallie and Kelley, sitting in a tree-"
"You don't even know if she's gay."
"Trust me she's on the gaydar." Ash promises.
"Ash, stop it. You know she's never defined her sexuality." Ali scolds.
"They can be touchy and still be friends." Becky reasons. "Take Ali and Ash for example, you guys told us you weren't dating for years when all you would do is touch."
"She's right, you guys cant speculate until they say it themselves." Tobin agrees.
"Toby! You definitely see a spark between them, you can't deny the way they look at eachother."
"I never said I didn't." She smirks as screams can be heard from outside the ajar door.
Sonnett rushes up to the door, giggling. Peering around the corner, I see Hallie is on top of Kelley, tickling her.
"God, they've definitely fallen for each other." Sonnett laughs, as more and more of the girls come out to see the commotion.
"Oh my god!" Pinoe shouts making us all turn and face her.
"It's snowing!" Ash adds.
"No, no, no, no..." Hallie comes round the corner, standing in the doorway.
"What's wrong Lee?"
"See what I mean?" Sonnett says.
"Not the time." Rose says shushing her.
"My flights going to get cancelled."
"It's fine. Jill or the staff can book you on a different one, they'll probably already have it covered." Becky reassures her.
"No, I have to get on that flight." Hallie rushes to say, losing her breath.
"Hallie calm down, take a deep breath." Ali takes a step towards her. "Everyone out."
Everyone but Kelley and Ali leaves as Hallie sits down on her bed, hands starting to sweat. "Kelley that includes you."
"I'm staying."
Ali sits behind Hallie, holding her head up, stroking her fingers softly through the younger girls hair. "You're okay."
Kelley watches from afar as Ali continues to whisper sweet nothings to Hallie, calming her down slowly. Kelley had noticed the fear of the girl having to control everything she could. She just didn't know it could get this bad. She was scared. Scared for the blonde who she had come so close with in such a short amount of time.
"She's asleep."
"I can tell, her breathings evened out, I don't know what happened but she'll probably only sleep for two hours and then go on the balcony. I can go out and find out what's wrong and-"
"No Kel. She'll sleep through till her flight now." Ali says beginning to fold all the clothes in drawers, into Hallie's plain suitcase.
Confused, Kelley offers, "Want me to help?"
Ali shakes her head. Ali sorts through hoodies, training bottoms, headbands, pre wrap, weights but stops at Hallie's jersey. Running her fingers over the name and number, looking at the girl sleeping peacefully.
Once she's done, she gets up to leave but not before writing a note and kissing Hal on the forehead. "Love you long time, couldn't be more proud of you."
Kelley comes out, using her phone torch as the lights are turned out and gets straight under the covers. She makes sure to set two alarms, for the time she needs to get up and for the time Hallie does.

As the alarm sounds out, Hallie sits up, rubbing her eyes and mumbling, "What the fuck happened last night Kel?"
"Lay back down, let me explain." Kelley says getting in the bed beside the blonde. "We were play fighting when immediately, Pinoe noticed it was snowing, you freaked about your flight and Ali soothed you until you fell asleep."
"And everyone saw that?" She groans.
"Well Ali got everyone out at some point but they saw a lot of it." The freckled girl speaks putting her arm around the other, bringing her closer. "I'm here for you whenever you want to explain."
"What time is it? I don't want to miss my flight." Avoiding the question.
"6:00am, your car leaves at 7:00 to drop you off for 7:30, and your flight is still at 8:50 as promised."
"Can we just stay like this for 5 more minutes?" The right-back nods.
The two stay in each others comfort for longer than planned, meaning Hallie starts to rush about desperately.
"Shit. I haven't packed a single thing."
"Ali did it all for you, you just need to shower, get dressed and grab something to eat."
Hallie jumps in the shower, not before popping her playlist on, to sing and shout at some tunes. Loathing her body with body wash as her conditioner sinks in to her ends. After drying herself off, she shouts, "Kelley I haven't got any clothes!"
"Open the door!" Kelley shouts back as she chucks some sweats through the door.
Hallie doesn't recognise the Beat Everybody sports gear, but covers her naked body with it anyway. Re-emerging from the bathroom, Kelley smiles.
"Suits ya."
"Hope nobody sees me." She jokes.
"Hey! I'll tell Allie and Alex you said that."
"No you won't." Hallie teases, sticking her tongue out.
Kelley clicks her phone, reading the time as 6:50am. "10 more minutes till your car awaits, 5 minutes before we should probably head downstairs."
"We?"
"Thought you'd want to say goodbye,no?" Hallie laughs.
"Of course I do you muppet. I'm going to miss you, and the team of course."
"We will be back together, roomies hopefully, in February for the SheBelieves Cup."
"I have no idea if I'm going to make the squad Kel."
"Don't doubt yourself Whitlock." Kelley says grabbing her keycard, and swinging open the door. "Manchester awaits the star winger!"
"Some of us would like to keep our hearing, thanks KO." Becky speaks from down the corridor.
"Sorry Becks." Hallie whispers apologetically.
"Are you leaving?"
"Unfortunately."
"Have a safe flight." Becky embraces the younger girl.
"Thank you, hopefully I'll see you soon."
"Of course you will, don't doubt yourself."
"I'm sure I just heard that somewhere else." Hallie teases as she walks down the hall to Kelley, waiting by the elevator.
"Heard what?"
"Nevermind Kel."
As the lift pops open, the pair and Hallie's suitcase gather into it, pressing the button for the bottom floor.
"Elevator selfie?" Kelley says snapping a picture. "Definitely going on my socials later. Come to think of it, what's your instagram Lee?"
"Don't have one."
"You're kidding!" Kelley says as Hallie shakes her head. "Next time I see you, we're unquestionably creating you one."
Hallie groans rolling her eyes. "Hey! It'll be fun."
"Hallie Whitlock? Taxi to the airport for Hallie?" The receptionist asks.
"That's me."
"Right out there for you, love." She smiles.
"Thank you." Hallie whispers under her breath.
"Say it louder Loch Ness Monster."
Hallie gasps. "Don't ever call me that again."
"I won't. I won't!" Kelley holds her hands up in surrender. "Have a safe journey, text me when you land!"
"You wish."
