From Shawn: Hi baby girl, happy birthday ! I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to celebrate your special day, but I sent a surprise over and it should be arriving later today. So go out and have fun, and treat yourself today, Destinie, because you deserve it ! I love you so much, you're everything to me, always remember that, baby girl ! I'll be home before you know it !😉❤️
I sighed softly, smiling down at my phone as I quickly typed back, "thank you shawny i love you and miss you😘."
I sat down in bed, playing with the ends of the bedsheets as I chewed on the inside of my cheek.
I didn't want to sit around all day and be upset because I couldn't spend today with Shawn, but I didn't have any other plans either.
Turning on a movie on netflix, I hit play and walked out to grab a snack, and came back just in time.
A few hours passed by of watching movies, eating snacks, and shedding a few tears at the thought of Shawn.
The doorbell rang and I wiped my tears away, checking myself in the mirror before going to open the door.
I rubbed my eyes quickly, opening the wooden door.
"Shawn?" I asked, breathlessly, staring at the smiling boy in front of me.
"Happy birthday, baby girl!" He yelled excitedly, his arms opened wide as he embraced me in a tight hug.
I shoved my face into the crook of his neck, sobbing uncontrollably as he lifted me up off of the ground, wrapping my legs around his waist.
"Oh my god, you're here," I mumbled into his neck, my tears soaking his black t-shirt.
"Yeah," he laughed softly, "I am."
"But how?" I whispered, my hands on both of his cheeks as I examined the soft and gentle face I haven't gotten to see in over two months.
"I asked to finish in time for your birthday, and that's why I had to leave earlier," he smiled softly, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
"I missed you so much," I whispered, my eyes roaming his face wildly before smashing my lips onto his again.
It was a passionate kiss, the familiar feeling of his lips against mine drove me insane; the usual butterflies returning to my stomach as he caressed my cheek with his thumb.
Pulling away, the two of us rested our foreheads against each other's, a comfortable silence filling the room as we looked at each other.
"I love you," Shawn whispered, a soft smile playing on his plump, pink lips as he looked at me lovingly.
"I love you too, I'm so glad your back," I replied, running my fingers through his hair as his grip on my thighs tightened, carrying me back upstairs into our room.
"So, birthday girl, what's the agenda for today?" He smiled, still holding me in his arms as mine were wrapped around his neck, clinging onto him.
"I just want to cuddle and make out with you," I giggled, sliding out of his grip and into the bed.
Shawn climbed in after me, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him. Our legs were sprawled out across the bed and I snuggled my face into his chest, taking in his familiar scent.
"Sounds like a plan to me."
