Ellie's pov
The weekend started with my alarm clock ringing by mistake. It felt like the whole neighborhood could hear it and I quickly jumped out of bed to turn it off. I tried desperately to go back to sleep, but it was simply impossible. I sighed loudly and got out of bed and put on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie.
I decided to surprise Mads with pancakes for breakfast so I started mixing the ingredients. As i started frying the pancakes i heard noises from Mads room. Just as I thought, she came out of the bedroom a while later. Her blonde hair was up in a messy bun and she held her hand over her eyes to block out the sunlight. When she saw me in the kitchen a big smile spread across her face.
"You are my absolute favorite person in the world, did you know that?", she said, taking a pancake on a plate.
"Yeah I know", I said proudly and shrugged with a smile.
"This is how every saturday morning should be", she sighed happily and sat down to eat.
I laughed a little and sat down next to her to eat breakfast too.

Me and Mads sang along to the songs playing on the radio and danced around with our arms in the car all the way to the beach. I shaped a pretend mic with my hand and sang into it before handing it to Mads who was also singing. We laughed out loud when the song was finished and parked the car next to the others.
"We're here losers!", Madelyn shouted, throwing her arms up in the air so the others could see us.
Chase saw us before the others and started waving his arms just like Mads. It was a perfect day for surfing and just as I thought I saw both Madison and Rudy out in the waves. We walked through the sand to the others and changed into our bikinis.
"The last one in the water is a kook!", I shouted and we all started running into the water.
"Wait, I'm already a very proud kook!", Drew called after us.
"Me too, but who cares!", Austin yelled back.
We played around in the water for a while and then Drew went and got a beach ball and threw it in the water. We started playing some game with no rules at all and threw ourselves around in the water.
"Ok i give up, Rudy and Ellie will win anyway", Madison said trying to catch her breath.
"Yeah since when were you guys so good at this?", Drew said with a sigh.
Me and Rudy smiled at each other and did the pogues handshake.
"Ok we get it elldy", Chase said teasingly.
"Phaha what was that?", I laughed.
"Your shipname", Chase said with a shrug.
"What?", Rudy said and started to laugh.
"I'm the captain!", Mads shouted, throwing her hand up in the air.
"Wait no, I was supposed to be the captain!", Drew said with an angry face.
"Too late", Madelyn said with a grin.

This was a pretty short chapter, but i'm really starting to enjoy writing this story :)
