-"Hey buddy!"
Lucifer hugged Faisal but he was busy glaring at me he didn't even noticed that his friend hugged him. After not getting hugged back Lucifer broke hug and look at him. He stand in front of me folding his hands on his chest. Then only Faisal saw him.
-"Fero?"
-"Bro I know that your wife is very beautiful but it doesn't mean that you will ignore your friend."
Then they both shared a hug.
-"When you came? And why didn't you informed me?"
-"Why should I inform you?"
-"What do you mean?"
-"You had got married but didn't care to tell your friend about it. You know I got to know about it very late."
-"Look it was all in hurry so I had not gotten time. Now you know na and I can see that you had already met Zoya."
-"Yeah."
-"How?"
-" I thought to pick her from college to surprise you."
-"But it's very late."
-"Oh come on buddy you're talking as I don't have any right to go out with my sister."
-"Fine but next time inform me before going anywhere." He said looking at me.
-"Zoya you go get fresh then join us."
-"Sure."
I get in the room and fresh up. My both legs and left forearm are hurt. There are bruises on my left palm and my head is paining a lot because that man had clutched my hairs so tightly. Thank God that Lucifer came on time otherwise I don't know what they have done to me. I'll ask Zack about that men. They seemed to be dangerous and they had known Faisal also. I think they were some of his rivals. I changed into black joggers and blue full sleeve top then I get downstairs.
I directly went to kitchen to make coffee for us. I put the mugs in tray and put them on table I handed mug to Lucifer he mouthed thank you I gave him a polite smile then I also handed cup to Mr. Grumpy he just looked at me plainly but what he done next shocked me he hold my hand and made me sit beside him on couch.
-"Thank you wifey." He said smiling.
What's this man is he bipolar? When we came he was glaring at me and now smiling. I also smiled at him trying not to look surprised with his behaviour. I know he's acting in front of Lucifer.
-"Wow! Coffee is very nice."
-"Thank you."
-"So Zoya what you're studying?"
-"I...."
-"She's doing BBA along with pre-med."
-"Nice."
-"You tell how your work is going?"
Then they started talking about business. I was getting bore so I tried to get up, tried only, I didn't even get up an inch when Faisal held me from waist not letting me get up. I look at him he was talking to Lucifer as if he has done nothing. Then Lucifer's phone rang he went in balcony. Faisal turned to me
-"Where you think you were going?"
-"I was bored and why can't I go?"
-"Because you are with me and you can't go until I approve."
-"And may I know why can't I go? It's not like I'll leave you alone."
I said it and I meant it I'll not leave him I had seen him suffer.
That day when I promised Bhai after he left we both headed to our respective room I wasn't able to sleep I was thinking about Faisal. What is his past? What he's hiding? It was 1:00 am when I get up to see him. I know he'll be sleeping but I just wanted to look at him once so I got to his room it was dark nothing can be seen except a sleeping figure on bed.
-"No........ No.......... Don't go .......... Please........... It's paining.............. Please don't......"
Oh God! He's having nightmare. I fastly move to him his body was sweating and he was looking very vulnerable. I sit next to him and started caressing his hairs.
-"No ......... It's paining......... Don't come near me ..."
-"Faisal. Faisal no one is here. Don't be scared. Everything's fine." He hold my hand still sleeping.
-"Don't leave me."
-"I'm here. I'll not leave you."
After sometime his breathing also became normal and he slept peacefully.
He don't know that I was in his room that night. But that day one thing changed in my mind about him that he's not what he shows. Bhai told me right he's suffering.
-"What happen why are you staring at me like you've seen a ghost?"
-"Nothing. I know that something happened today and Lucifer is hiding."
-"Who told you? No....... Nothing happened?"
-"Don't lie. And remember what I've told you not to hide anything from me and always answer my questions."
-"But I'm not hiding anything." Just then Lucifer entered.
-"Sorry that was an important call."
-"It's not finished yet." Faisal whispered in my ear in a very dangerous tone making me shiver. How did he get to know that something happened?
-"Okay so now I am going. I have some work."
-"But don't forget your friend in your work."
-"Yeah bro. I'll come again when I'll be free okay."
"Take care Zoya it was nice meeting you." He caressed my hair showing his concern. We had just met before one hour and I'm getting brotherly feeling from him. I'm so blessed to have Rehan Bhai and now I have him also. He left after bidding us bye.
Just as he left I tried to escape but Faisal held my left hand just there where it's hurt. I hissed in pain he immediately left my hand and look at me confused
-"What happen?"
-"No... nothing."
-"Show me your hand." He said. I moved back hiding my hand behind my back.
"Zoya! Show me." He said warningly coming near me.
-"Faisal it's nothing."
He hold my left hand pulling it to him and he slide up the sleeve of top very carefully. Just as he saw the big wound on my forearm which was bleeding he glared at me angrily and made me sit on couch
-"Sit here." He said and left. He immediately came downstairs holding first aid box, he sat beside me and started applying ointment harshly. I hissed in pain my eyes became teary it's paining a lot and now burning with this. He glanced at me then he applied it gently and bandaged it too. Then his eyes went to my palm which is having bruises and a big cut. His eyes turned red his hold tighten on my hand, he moved his hand in his hairs closing eyes furiously. Then he bandaged it also. After closing the box he looked at me. His furious red eyes were scaring me
-"Speak."
-"I....... F.Faisal...... it..... actually."
-"Tell me clearly."
I tried to handle the situation so I lied "I fell from stairs in college."
He take the vase from table and threw in on wall. I flinched and stand up
-"Damn it! Don't test my patience Zoya."
-"I to..told you I f....fell....."
He started walking to me I stepped back but he was fast he hold me from my waist tightly. My hands was on his chest and he speak dangerously bringing his face closer.
-"I told you don't test my patience. Tell me what happened."
-"S...some men att.... attacked...."
-"WHAT?! That b*stards how dare they?" Then he looked at me from head to toe. "Are you hurt somewhere else?" His eyes turned worried.
Yes my knee and leg are paining a lot.
-"No I'm fine."
He glared at me I looked down. Zoya can't you lie properly. No one can tell if I'm lying or not but this man.
-"My leg is hurt."
-"Your leg... Sit here." He made me sit on couch. He himself sit on floor in front and slide my jogger a little up to look at my wound. It's bruises on leg and knee he put ointment on it. Then he sit beside me.
-"Tell me everything."
I told him everything from how that Robert came to pick me, then me running from him more men coming, when I told him how they pushed me and clutched my hair his hands turned into fist and his eyes again turned red. I completed interrogation by telling him everything till how I met Lucifer.
-"It was you who told Lucifer to not tell me anything, right?"
-"Ac... actually...."
-"What actually? Do you think it's a small thing? Zoya are you a kid? You know how dangerous that people are? Look how badly you're hurt and you yourself told me that they were carrying guns what if they.........." He stopped in middle looking here and there "If something happened to you then....." He sighed "From now on you will always go out with guard and two men will be on your college gate always."
-"But Zack always go with me. Tell me when I go alone. I always go out with Zack, Rehan Bhai or you."
-"I know but there will be guard on college gate, and if anything happens you will call me directly, am I clear?"
I nodded.
-"I can't hear anything."
-"Fine! I understood!"
-"Good. You will not go to college."
-"WHAT? Why? I'll not stop going college."
-"First listen to me. For tomorrow only. You're hurt so you will not go tomorrow."
-"But..."
-"I'm not asking I'm telling you."
-"Fine. Can I ask you something?"
-"Yeah."
-"Who can be that men?"
-"Maybe, Some of my rivals."
-"Do you have many enemies?"
-"Yes."
-"But why they attacked me?"
-"For reaching me."
-"Means."
-"You are related to me and they can hurt you for reaching me."
-"Why? Have you done anything wrong to them."
-"They are jealous of my success."
-"So what can they do."
-"Simply kill me."
-"WHAT? Are you mad? How can you say that?"
-"It's truth I had already faced this kind situation. Anyone can do anything for money."
-"Are you not afraid of them?"
-"No because I don't have anything to lose. I have lost everything many time ago now I'm not afraid to die."
-"You are not afraid but the people who loves you who cares for you, have you thought about them?"
-"There is no one like this. This love doesn't exist everyone is behind money."
-"It's not the truth. Not everyone is behind money. There are many people who cares for others without caring to get anything in return."
-"No. No one is like that. Everyone just cares for themselves and money. They can even kill their own family for money."
-"No you sho...."
-"Just shut up! I don't want to hear anything from you. People only cares for money they can do anything for it, even sell themselves, just like you. You are also one of those bloody golddiggers." He got up from couch and left the house angrily banging the door.
I always forget that I'm nothing to him. I had sold myself and he owns me now. He is right I'm a bloody golddigger. I only cares about money. I hate myself for doing that. If not for my mother I would never ever had done that.
Faisal you don't know that how much egoistic I am. That I don't even ask anyone for a single penny. You are not wrong at your place. If only we would have met at any other situation.....
