Enchanting Echoes Of A Dancing Girl

Long delicate fingers glide through the air
Arms bow and extend in a mesmerizing flair
Slightest hint of a tremble, an elegant whirl
Sleek, now tender calves lead down to
Nimble tiptoes prancing around the stage
Gliding along the now slick wooden floor
Each crying toe streaks with scarlet pain
As her rhythm imposes to our favorite song
The wet from her eyes adds to the sparkle
Of silver glitter splashing face and chest
Radiating with life, owning the dance floor
And the once vibrant night has grown late
Even for those who like to endlessly celebrate
Yet the DJ keeps revolving that same track
As she cyclically moves in that stunning display
I have kept her here and continue to do so
As dark moon filled eyes plead: let me go
Please erase this memory and set me free
