𝟎𝟎𝟏. I 𝐀𝐖𝐎𝐊𝐄 to someone violently shaking me awake "Natalia! Natalia! Wake up!" Maddy said in a rushed tone, I groaned loudly not at all ready to wake up yet. "Natalia!" Maddy screamed causing me to jump "Fine, fine" I said putting my hands up in surrender. "What do you want" I said rubbing my eyes feeling impatient. "Seriously? Natalia, it's Friday, your supposed to walk us to school" said Maddy a frustrated expression noticeable on her face.
Shirley often took Maddy and Violet to school, leaving me and Theo to walk. But as Shirley took on a job as a therapist, some days she could not get them to school so Theo or I would often have to walk them to school. Maddy and Violet went to a school opposite to the school me and Theo attended.
"Oh shit, i thought it was Saturday. I gotta get ready" panic settling in my stomach. " Cant Theo take you guys to school or something" I said trying my best to reason with her
"He's already gone" Maddy said shrugging. "Okay, okay let me get ready, I'll be down in a minute" maddy rolled her eyes in response before leaving me to get ready.

I rushed down the stairs signalling my siblings it was time to go. I hastily grabbed my bag before I rushed out of the door my siblings practically on my ankles. The sun belted brightly blinding me. I somehow managed to tune out the complainants from my siblings about being late as we walked to school.
"Okay guys, I'll pick you up at 3:00pm" "Bye natali" my siblings said hugging me briefly before scattering to there year groups lines.

I ran to my class as quick as possible trying to get there on time. I burst through the doors of my class. everyone's head snapped up towards me, "your late" my teacher said, frustrated. "By like, one minute" I said out of breath. Mrs macadeny huffed "I'll see you after school for a 30 minute detention Natalia" I heard laughter from the corner of the classroom and I looked over my shoulder to see Emily,Klara and lily giggling at me. I looked at them with an unfazed look on my face.
Klara and Emily had always being picking on me ever since I joined always making a snarky remark about me, then lily joined there group not long after I joined. They always would have something to say about me, at first it would always hurt me and make me feel even worse about myself, but now I really couldn't care less, it was funny seeing them try hard for a reaction. I gave a hard glare at my teacher before siting down in my seat.
1 hour had already passed, I kept shifting my gaze towards the clock, counting down the minutes until we leave for break, I never enjoyed school, I never learnt anything, and I wasn't in the same class as my friends, it was pointless. Especially math, Why do we even need maths? Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice call my name loudly pulling me out of my thoughts, there stood the 4 of my friends, Leo, Peter, Noah and miles with smiles plastered on there face. They had been my friends ever since I moved to Hawaii, always having something in common. My grandma and big brother weren't to fond of them saying 'they are a bad influence'. I didn't care though, they would always be my best friends.
A smile spread across my face knowing why they were here, We often skipped class together either going to the beach or Leo's house when we couldn't be bothered with school, I knew grandma would be disappointed but in that moment all I cared about was having a good time. My teachers voice rang through my ears.warning me not to leave. I couldn't care less.
