As Y/N took a step into the daycare, her eyes adjusted to the dark. She saw Moon a little ways away, sitting and facing away from her. She heard quiet sniffling coming from him, hard to hear from the distance between them. Freddy spoke.
-"Moon."
-"𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏?!"
He turned to glare at Freddy, his face streaked with tears. He froze and his purple eyes widened as his angered gaze landed on Y/N. She watched him sympathetically, taking a step towards him.
-"Moon? What happened?"
He shot up, staring at Y/N for a moment, then ran at her at full speed. Once he reached her, he picked her up and hugged her tightly, they spun for a second from the momentum from Moon's speed. He started planting kisses all over her face, and Y/N laughed, pushing him away.
-"I missed you too, but.."
Moon stopped, looking at Y/N, his eyes slowly fading back to red. Y/N grabbed his face, staring into his eyes sympathetically.
-"Why were you.. Like that..?"
Moon looked away, frowning.
-"I... When I made you sleep.. I kept coming back every night, but you wouldn't wake up.. For three days.. It was my fault you wouldn't wake up.. I thought you never would.."
-"I'm sorry.. I promise it's not your fault."
-"Then who's was it?"
-"I can explain it later, but," she brought him closer to her face and gave him a kiss on the head. "It's not your fault in any way."
The sides of Moon's mouth curled up in the slightest of smiles, and he heated up a bit.
-"I'm sorry, you just scared me.. Really badly.."
-"Sorry Moon.. I promise I'll explain it when we have the time."
-"Don't we have time n-"
Freddy cut him off by clearing his throat. Moon defensively pulled Y/N close, turning to Freddy and glaring at him.
-"I see you've managed to calm him down, Y/N."
-"I didn't ne𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣!"
He began to get worked up again, Y/N started petting his back to calm him down.
-"Hey, it's okay.." She spoke softly to him, and he relaxed a bit, sighing. Y/N turned her attention to Freddy.
-"He's fine now." Freddy nodded.
-"Then perhaps he would like to join you with us tonight."
Moon snapped out of his relaxed trance, turning to Y/N "What? You're with them?"
-"Yeah- we were just going to have some fun.. Do you wanna come with?" Moon turned away, grumbling.
-"Please?" She begged him. Moon hesitated, grumbling more. He turned back to her, burying his face in her shoulder. "Fine. But only because you're there." He was a little muffled. Y/N smiled, getting out of his hug. As soon as she did, Moon quickly grabbed her hand, following with her as she walked out of the doors to the rest of the group. Monty eyed her, glancing at her and Moon's hands holding each other. He raised an eyebrow. "So 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 why you got so defensive about him." Y/N felt her face go red, and Moon heated up beside her, but he didn't let go of her hand, instead he tightened his grip and glared at Monty. "Got a problem with that, gator?" Monty glared back at Moon without another word. "Leave it alone, matey." Foxy placed his hand on Monty's shoulder. Y/N was surprised for a second, Foxy had defended Moon? Well, less Moon and more Y/N 𝘢𝘯𝘥 Moon, but still. Roxy and Chica walked on the other side of Y/N as they began walking, following Freddy. Moon seemed bothered by how close they were walking to Y/N, constantly pulling her close to him every time she strayed even a footstep away from him. Freddy led them to Gator Golf first. Everyone excitedly picked up golf clubs, Monty pulling out his own personal one. Y/N grabbed one, turning to Moon, who had yet to grab one. "Come on, grab one, let's go!" Moon hesitated, shaking his head. "I don't feel like it."
-"Why not?"
-"I just..." He sighed, giving Y/N the smallest of smiles, grabbing a club. Y/N smiled back at him brightly, "thanks Moon." Moon leaned down and pressed his forehead to hers. "Anything for you, Starlight." The nickname made Y/N blush, and Moon kissed her head, then took her hand and followed the rest of the gang. Bonnie was already attempting a swing by the time they got there. Roxy and Chica walked over to Y/N while the boys— discluding Moon— took their turns swinging. "Y/N, we were so worried about you, how's it been since we last saw you?" Chica spoke quickly and excitedly. Y/N let go of Moon's hand, speaking back. "It's been fine, I just felt a little under the weather the past few days. How have you guys been?"
-"We're doing just fine, kid. Anyway, we wanted to pick that conversation from the party back up. That music creator Cavetow-"
-"Roxy, lass!" Roxy looked over, Foxy was beckoning her to swing. She sighed, walking over and readying herself. "You're next Chica!"
-"Alrighty!" Chica walked over to stand behind Roxy as she swung. As they swung, Chica called Y/N next, and she walked over, getting in place to swing. Moon came up behind her, but out of the way of the club. She swung, but missed by a landslide. "Shoot!" Her swing was the farthest from the hole. Moon moved in next to her, placing a ball down and getting ready to swing. He focused, and then swung. . . He got a freakin hole-in-one! "What- how did you-"
-"I used to come down here a lot."
-"Teach me!" Moon smiled slightly, moving a strand of Y/Ns hair behind her ear. "Next time it's your turn I can help you." Y/N smiled at him. Monty cleared his throat, and Y/N and Moon looked over at him. Monty did a disgusted gesture, sticking his tongue out and pointing at the inside of his throat with his eyes squeezed shut. "Piss off, gator," Moon growled (fucking furry). Y/N put her hand on Moon's shoulder to calm him, and she turned her attention to Monty. Y/N stuck her tongue out at him, and he did it back, before Bonnie went to try for a hole-in-two.
