"I haven't felt this level of disappointment since I lost my virginity."
OLIVIA AND ELI grunted as they landed on cleanly cut grass. Olivia rolled over to her stomach and squinted, her eyes adjusting to the bright light.
"What the hell?" She mumbled as she saw a lacrosse player standing in front of a goal.
Eli began standing up, grabbing Olivia's hand to help her up. As they turned they were met with a herd of lacrosse players running at them. The front two barged into them, sending the two to the ground. Eli covered Olivia the best he could with his arms as the players ran past them. Once they had passed them, Eli quickly sat up.
"Are you okay?" Eli asked over the loud noise of the stadium.
"I think so." She replied as Eli helped her stand up.
"Eli!" The Beacon Hills coach yelled as he made his way onto the field. "Where the hell did you two come from? Get off the-hey!" the coach blew his whistle as he grabbed onto Eli's shirt. "Off the field!"
Olivia followed after the two as Coach dragged Eli off the field.
"Olivia!" The call of her name made her look towards the stands. She saw Scott walking in their direction, a large stain of blood covering his white shirt.
"Eli." Olivia called as she saw Coach walk away from him. Eli turned to her as Olivia pointed to Scott. Eli saw who she was pointing at as Scott waved them over to him. Eli jogged over to him, Olivia following right after.
"Okay, so it's a place, but it's not real." Eli began explaining to Scott once the two teens fell in step with him. "They're all there with my dad, and they're alive."
"This part of the game? It's like he's knocking pieces off the board."
"Then why did he put us back on it?" Olivia questioned.
"I don't know, but I need to get you two out of here. Come on."
Just as they were about to exit the stands, they ran into an invisible barrier.
"Oh! What the hell was that?" Eli asked as he stumbled back. He looked over to Olivia to make sure she was okay.
"Mountain ash." Scott stated.
"Ash did that?" Olivia asked as she rubbed her temple.
"This isn't good." Scott added as he turned, going back into the stadium. "The sun's going down." He stated as he stopped. "If the Oni come out at night-"
"There's 10,000 people in this stadium. What are we supposed to do?" Eli asked. Scott looked around before coming up with an idea.
"Come on." The two teens followed Scott as he rushed over to Coach. "Coach!" Scott called as he grabbed onto his sleeve. "Coach, hey!"
Coaches eyes widened as he turned to Scott.
"Oh, no, no, no, no. Unacceptable. You graduated, McCall. You're not ruining this for me." Coach told him as he shook his head.
"Coach, every single person in this stadium is in danger. Is there any way to get them out without panicking them?" Scott asked urgently.
"Yeah, you win the game."
"What happens if they tie it up?" he asked.
"Sudden death." Coach replied.
"Coach, there's gonna be 10,000 sudden deaths if we don't stop this game."
Coach turned back to the field as the other team scored another goal.
"Crap! I haven't felt this level of disappointment since I lost my virginity. You want to help us win, McCall?" Coach asked him. Scott nodded. Coach turned to one of the other players and took their lacrosse stick before handing it to Scott. "Here." He said as he handed it to him.

SCOTT AND ELI had quickly changed into uniforms. The lacrosse team, as well as Olivia, had huddled around Coach.
"Four minutes, whoever scores first wins." Coach announced.
Scott looked down at Eli's jersey.
"Number 11? That used to be my number." Scott told him.
"Do you want it back?"
"No, no. That's okay. Just, if you're gonna wear my number, you better score." Scott told him.
"I'll try."
All the players grunted before sprinting back onto the field.
"Let's do it! Asses on the field! We score first!" Coach yelled from next to Olivia.
As the game started, Olivia squinted at the field.
"Get it to McCall! To McCall!" Coach yelled.
"Is this even allowed?" Olivia asked Coach. Coach looked down at the young girl.
"Do I look like I care?" He asked her. She shrugged before Coach looked back at the field. "Yes! Yes!" He yelled as Scott swerved past the players. He flicked the stick, throwing the ball at the scoreboard.
Olivia cringed as the scoreboard shattered and sparks flew.
When the next play began, the Coach from the other team approached Coach and Olivia.
"Where did this kid come from? Is he even in high school?" He asked Coach.
"That's one of my best students." Coach replied.
"He looks like he's 30. Who the hell is that?"
"That's Greenberg." Coach replied proudly. The coach sighed before walking back over to his side.
"Who's Greenberg?" Olivia asked.
"You don't need to know." Coach replied. Olivia sucked in her lips as she nodded slowly and turned back to the game. "Yes! Take it! Eli, take it to the rake!" Coach yelled.
"Come on, come on." Olivia mumbled as she watched Eli dodge the players. He pulled back the stick before throwing the ball. The stands erupted into cheers as the ball passed the goalie and into the next.
"Whoo!" Olivia cheered as she threw her arms up. She quickly realized what she did and pulled her arms back down as she cleared her throat uncomfortably.
She saw the other lacrosse players run out onto the field and she quickly followed after them. Eli smiled brightly as his team celebrated. He spotted Olivia running towards him and he threw off his helmet. Just after he opened his arms to her, she collided with him, her arms wrapped around his shoulders.
"You did it." She laughed as he picked her up off the ground. Eli set her down and she pulled her head from his shoulder to look up at him. There was a moment of silence between the two as they looked at each other.
"Hey!" Scott called to the two, pulling their attention away from each other.
"Scott! Did you see that? Did you see me score?" Eli asked him as the two teens pulled away from each other. "My dad was actually right. I'm actually pretty good." Eli and Olivia's smiles faded as they remembered the task at hand. "Oh, my God, my dad."
"This isn't over." Scott added. "We're gonna find the others. Come on."
