Two weeks later
"Oh shit." I gagged runnin into the bathroom releasing the meal I had prior into the toilet
"Damn this yo second time today doin that." Niyah said standin in the door way
"Uhh shut the hell up." I mumbled
Standin up flushin the toilet I grabbed my toothbrush brushin my nasty ass mouth
"I'm bein serious you been doin this for the past few weeks. You got dat Covid?"
"Girl no I don't got no damn Covid." I mugged while spittin into the sink
"You pregnant?" She asked
I paused
"Uhh I mean... I don't know Niyah." I mumbled
"I think that's somethin you need to find out. Nobody just throw up repeatedly every morning like dat." She said
"You know mama would literally chop my body into pieces." I said walkin back into my room
"I mean yeah but that's what happens when you have unprotected sex Lani." She said sarcastically
I smacked my lips
"It's just not the time I'm only 16 I'm still a fuckin child." I said layin back on my bed
"Should've not been doin grown folk activities." She mumbled
"Girl shut up like you and dd don't do the fuckin same." I said mushin her head
"I mean you don't know for sure yet. Let's go down to pharmacy real quick." She suggested
I nodded my head in agreement
"Let me go put my slides on." She said walkin back to her room
Standin up I slid my crocs on walkin out waitin for Niyah at the door.
"You ready to go?" She said
"Yeah let's make this quick."
"Where y'all goin?" Our mama asked walkin out the kitchen
"We headin to the store." I said
"While y'all at it get me some more milk since y'all fat ass drunk it all." She mugged us
"Yes ma'am." We said
We opened up the door makin our way down the street
"So what you gone do if you are?" Niyah asked
"I don't know Aniyah." I mumbled
"Well of course I'm here for you through the whole thing." She smiled at me
I smiled back
Soon we made it in front of the store
"I'll go get ma milk and you go get the test." She said
I nodded my head
Walkin over to the aisle with the test in them
"What the fuck is the difference." I said holdin two different boxes
"Imma just get both of these hoes." I said walkin lookin for Aniyah
"You got it?" She asked
"Yeah let's get out of here before we run into one of dem boys." I said walkin to the front counter
"Will dat be all?"
"Yeah."

Pullin 30 dollars out of my pocket I slammed it on the counter
"Keep the change." I said rushin out with Niyah behind me
"How imma get this pass mama?" I asked while speed walkin to the house
We literally only live 5 minutes away from the store
"Just gimme the milk and I'll distract her." She said holdin her hand out
"Ma we back!" Aniyah yelled walkin in the kitchen with the milk
Shuttin the front door behind me I fast walked upstairs into my bathroom.
lockin the door behind me I pulled the boxes out of the bag and read the directions
Pullin the stick out I put it underneath me peein on it
"Now it say wait three minutes." I whispered to myself
Anxiously I sat and waited for the 3 minute mark
"Yo my ass is fuckin grass bro." I whimpered
"Lani can I come in?" Niyah asked me while knockin lightly on the door
I stood up unlockin it
"Yea come on."
"You took it?" She asked shuttin the door behind her
"Yea I got like a minute left." I said puttin my head down
"Niyah what the fuck im I gonna do?" I asked
"Me and ddot not even together no more and I know his ass finna be heated."
"Well he don't got no choice he helped you make it. You ain't do the shit on your own." She said leanin against the wall
I sighed liftin the test up
Slowly I flipped it over seein the two lines clear as day.
"Holy fuck." I whispered
"What it say?" Aniyah asked snatchin it out of my hand
"Damn Lani." She said lookin at me
There was tears in my eyes
"Niyah I know nothin bout raisin a fuckin baby." I spat
"Well the first thing you need to do is tell ddot." She said
