"Varun kanna, you become very naughty now a days" I says while taking him in my arms who tried to run out.
"Mumma, I didn't do anything." he starts to laugh as I started to tickle him.
"Oh I see, my kanna doesn't do anything right."
"Yes mumma, your varun kanna is a good boy."
"You shouldn't say by yourself kanna."
"Then who will say Amma?"
"Others have to say kanna based on your character"
"Amma what is charac.... Ch... Character?" he aksed me
"Character means, based on one doings, how one is behaving with others, How they are treating others kanna is all the character will be defined kanna as either good or bad person."
"Oh then your varun kanna is good boy mumma. Even grandpa is good. But not our patti, she is a bad lady. Am I right mumma?" he aksed me in his slow voice.

"Appoint?" I asked him.
"Yes mumma, appoint a maid. So that mumma's hands wo.. Won't pain much." as soon as Varun said this i just literally cried by holding him in my arms.
"You are more than enough for me kanna. Your mumma is happy with you." I slowly murmurs while making him to sleep on my lap.
Soon he started to snore.
"Love you kanna."
I heard the room door opening sound, i didn't looked up as I know it would be him.
I then stood up once I felt he walks past me. I put varun on the bed and kissed his forehead.
But he clutched my thalli tightly.
I smiled at seeing him. After ensuring that he is sleeping peacefully I turned only to see my husband without a shirt.
As he is speaking in phone.
"What?" I came out of my lala land.
Shit.
"n..n..nothing..."
"Haven't you seen me in my nude state?." he asked me angrily.
"I... I... Its not...."
"Leave. " he shouts.
I then walked out of the room with a sigh.
"Did you prepared dinner?" my athai asked me.
"Only dosai and chapthi needs to be prepared athai." I says.
"Go and prepare first. You are not some newly married couple, you have been married for 9 years, still I don't know that why you want to spent the time mostly with your husband that too with the presence of a child in room. Behave." my athai started to scold me.
Without giving any heads up, I just walked inside the kitchen.

Arjun pov:
"Arjun where are you?" I heard my dad's voice as soon as I attend the call.
"I'm in my cabin" I non-chantly says.
"Please come to Life hospital"
"What happened?. Is mom is fine? Are you fine dad?. Is varun is having any fever or something?" I asked immediately.
"No its Your wife. Won't you ask about your wife arjun?. Leave it, she got into an minor accident." my dad said worriedly.
'What'
What might have happened to her?
"How is she?" I asked him.
'Really you are concerned about her?' my mind asked me.
"She is fine now arjun, but varun is keep on crying. Can you please come and console him. "
"I will be there in 10 mins."
Once I reached the hospital.
"Appa, mumma" varun cryingly runned into my arms.
"It's okay varun, she will be fine. Don't cry." I says at him.
"How is she?" I aksed dad.
"Go and see by yourself." dad says while taking Varun from my arm.
I nods and waked inside the room only to see that she is lying on the bed.
Her right leg is bandaged and there were few scratches on her arms.
After few mins I walked outside the room.
" How she got into the accident?" I aksed my dad.
"When she gone to pick Varun, some other child runned from the bus on road without seeing the truck, so yazhini saved the child. But before she run out of the road she got hitted by truck."
I nods at him.
Before I walk away, an lady and man stood before me with a child in their arm.
"Because of your wife, my child is now breathing or else I don't even want to think about it. To save my child, she didn't even thought twice about her life. Such a selfless soul, you are really a lucky person to have her as your wife. Thank you soo much sir. " that lady says.
'Lucky' i thought to myself as I nods as no.

" You both go amma and take care of varun. I will stay in night here. "I says to which they both nods their head.
"Bye paa" I heard varun voice.
I walked inside the room.
There nurse is checking her vitals.
"When she will open her eyes?" I aksed nurse.
"We gave the sedation, she will open her eyes after 2 hours sir. " with that she went out.
I took my seat on the chair which is placed beside her bed.
'She is a very good soul'
'You are lucky' that lady's voice kept swirling in my mind.
I kept looking at her sleeping figure.
"In my whole life I haven't hated someone like how am hating you."
"If only if only you...... " I stopped.
" I miss you soo much Varshini. "
" Why did you leaved me? "
" Didn't you believed that I will make it right? "

" A.. Am.. Sorry sorry sorry sorry "I heard a murmuring which made me to open my eyes.
There she is murmuring something.
"I won't be doi.. Doing... This... Aga...."
I called for nurse, who came inside.
"She will be opening her eyes anytime now." nurse says while checking the trips everything.
I nods ta her.
After 15 mins, she opened her eyes.

I opened my eyes slowly and seen arjun who is standing beside me.
'Did he really came to hospital and top of that he is present with me in night time?' I though to myself.
'I did asked maama to don't inform arjun when I opened my eyes on evening. Since Its just small injury.'
'He really came to check on me?' i asked myself..
"Do you need anything?" he asked me with his monotonous tone.
"N.. No..."
He nods at me and take his seat.
I kept seeing him, I thought he won't came to see me. I just don't want to get more hurt if he doesn't came to hospital to see me when he got to know regarding my accident. That's why I did asked my maama to not inform him regarding this accident.
"D.. Did. You had your... D.. Dinner?" I asked him.
After a lot of silence.
"Yes" he says while going through his phone.
That's it, after that I didn't initiated any more conversation. All I did Is just kept seeing him.
This is more than enough for me. Atleast if something happened to me, he will be there to take care even if he don't take care it is okay.
He looks irritated. I know it's because of my continuous stare
"Is... Va.. Varun had something?" I aksed him, since varun won't sleep without me.
"He had" he replies without looking up.
I agian gone to my silence mode, since I don't want to irritate him more.
'But am so happy today.'
'Yazhini seroiuly just because he is staying with you in hospital. You are feeling happy, are you for real. ' my inner self asked me.

Oh shit, I need water. But he is sleeping peacefully. How will I wake him. The water bottle is on the far distance from my bed.
I sighed.
Am really thursty though.
' Maybe just call him yazhini. Either way he is here to take care of you only right.'

'No no he will scold you. Your little happiness will be bursted then.'

With that I just tried to walk by myself, so I just trued to get down. But it went wrong since the pain started to shoot up as soon as I tried to move.
"Arghh"
"W.. What happened?" I immediately heard his voice.
"Can I call doctor?"
"I.. Its okay"
"Why did you tried to get down?"
"W.. Wa.. Water"
"Let me garb it for you." with that he first took my hand and made me to lie on the bed properly.
First time this closeness that too in his sober state.
After that he gave me the water bottle.

"Mumma why are you preparing the dinner." varun asked me.
"Papa" he shoutingly runned out of the kitchen. It's been 3 weeks, am fine now. But I couldn't able to walk fast like earlier.
Coming to arjun, that day I will never forget. His little care is all I need.
After that day I was discharged, after that maama started to take care of me. In night i will manage myself mostly.
If not sometimes, arjun or varun helped me for few days.
'Atleast he cares about me' I thought to myself.
"Mumma see who is here?"
I slowly walked out only to see vinoth and vasanth anna.
"How are you Mrs. Arjun. "
"Fine Anna."
"Sorry we both didn't able to see you before itself."
"That's fine Anna. Please take your seat, I will prepare coffee for you."
"No its fine maa."
"Please take rest" vasanth anna says.
"Am fine now Anna" with that I slowly wlkaed is ide the kitchen.
After preparing the coffee, I kept the cups in the tray and started to take the tray in a slow pace.
Somehow I reached our room since both are not present in hall, I think they are in our bedroom. With that thought I opened our room only to see the empty room.
'Where are the...' before I think I heard their voice from the balcony.
So I slowly walked over there before I open the door, I stopped after hearing their conversation.
"Arjun I heard that you really taken good care of your wife. Uncle said to me." vinoth Anna said.
"We are really happy for you ar...."
"Vinoth, this is how I would have helped anyone. I didn't helped her, since she is my wife. I helped her, since that is my nature. Sometimes if we see someone gor accident in eoad, what we will do we will admit them in hospital and will do some help which we can do right. The same I did. " he says.
My eyelids started to fill with tears. But I just controlled.
"Arjun aren't you care about her?"
"No I will never"
By this time his words shouldn't affect me, but still somehwre my heart thought that he atleast little care about me.
Its fine.

"Mmmm anna coffee" I says while knocking the door.
Then anna opened the door and asked me that why did I even prepared the coffee. But then I asked them to have their coffee.
After keeping the tray I walked out slowly with a greater difficulty.
