(Y/n) POV
It was a nice cloudy day in my town. Birds were chirping, other kids playing with each other. It was pretty much a average day here. I was just picked up from school by my mom
She came by in a Red Nissan Sentra, Honking the horn to get my attention, I walk to the car and get inside
Mom: Hey (Y/n), how was school today
(Y/n): It was pretty good, we started to learn algebra
Mom: That's great (Y/n), ahh I remember when I was in 6th grade. That's when I met your father. He was so handsome back then....well...he still is but you get what I mean
(Y/n): Ew mom, I don't want to know what you and Dad were when you were my age. Every time you talk about him we're always their for hours
I sigh and look out the window while we drive home, I've always liked spacing out and getting stuck in my own imagination. Takes my mind off school and the homework I have to do when I get home.....god I don't want to do it. I didn't even understand what the hell we were learning
We get home and she pulls into the driveway. We get out and I open the door and the first thing we see is dad sitting on the couch watching Monday Night Football. He's a Lions fan so we fight sometimes when the lions are playing
Dad: Hey you guys, how was the drive back
Mom: It was good
Mom puts up her keys and jacket while I walk to sit on the couch.
Dad: How was school (Y/n)
(Y/n): It was fine I guess, we learned algebra
Dad: ah I see, good, I hope you know what your doing cause math isn't my strong suit...speaking of algebra, did your mother tell you about how we meet in 6th grade
I growled
Dad: I'll take that as a yes, it was a great time for both of us. Ironically enough, both our classes were the same so it was only a matter of time before we fell in love. We were together ever since. I wonder if you will ever get that special someone
I blushed because of his words, I never really thought of love until now. It was just something that happened so I just let fate take its course.
(Y/n): (blushing) I prefer if I don't worry about that considering I'm 10, I got loads of time.
I get up from the couch and make my way to my room
(Y/n): Im gonna go so my homework. I'll see y'all later for dinner
Dad & Mom: Alright bye/ Ask me if you need help
(Y/n): Ok mom I will, bye
I make my way to my room, I spent maybe a hour or two on my homework. I fucking hate algebra, who thought it was a good idea to add LETTERS TO MATH.
(Y/n): (Sigh) Goddammit
I was putting my work away in my backpack when I begin to feel something...I don't know what it is but I think something bad is about to happen
I walk to my parents room because I wanted to tell them about what I've been feeling. But on my way there I see a owl outside the window. To be specific it was a barn owl. Hmm, these bird don't come here often, not to mention it still isn't dark yet even though it was about to be. It was just staring at me. I grab some berries from the kitchen because I heard somewhere that they like berries. I open the window and the owl comes right on the frame which is surprising cause animals aren't usually this friendly. I slowly brought the berries to its beak. It slowly pecked at it and began to eat it. I begun to scratch its head in hopes that it liked it. It seemed that it did and began to lean into my hand
(Y/n): aww that cute, what if I scratched under your chin?
I stopped scratching its head and began to scratch under its chin. It was really obvious that it enjoyed it a lot, leaning into my hand even more
(Y/n): Your a cute one aren't you~ now why are you her-
I was about to finish my sentence when I heard a boom out front. The owl flew out the window while I ran to the front, I open the door and saw most of the houses on fire and corpses littering the streets. But what really got my attention was the body of my mother with lifeless eyes and blood all around her. It look like she was stabbed and gutted. Right next to her is my Dad on the ground. He was still squirming and crawling towards me. He was stabbed in a similar matter like mom.
Dad: (Y-Y/n) R-ru—
He was cut off when a sharp blade stabbed right into his back and through his chest, killing him instantly. The culprit takes the blade out and flicked off the blood. He looks at the rest of his gang
Bandit: look for the artifact! That's the real reason why we're here. But, if you find any other loot. Take it, the more the merrier. Just means more money for us
He begins to look at me and smirks in a sadistic way
Bandit: ah, so there's this fucker's little runt
(Y/n):......
I-I froze. I couldn't move out of fear. He sprints at me and all I see is the blade coming down right towards me.... This is it....I'm going to die
But I also saw the owl from earlier flying towards me. It then transformed into a girl?!? What the hell.
She takes out her dagger and blocks the bandits blade
She kicks the him in the chest which send him flying, alerting the rest of the gang members. She turns her head to look at me
???: Get out of here! I'll hold them off while you go!
I was still in shock and rightfully so. But I snapped out of it and began to run away but I look back at her and stopped
???:I'll be fine! You don't have to worry just run!
(Y/n): T-Thank you so much!
I began to run away while she fights them off. Tears weld up in my eyes as it hits me that my parents and I believe everyone I'm my town are dead. I keep running and running into a forest but I ran into a root and fell. I rolled down a hill and crashed into and box just lying on the ground.
(Y/n): Owwww! Hmm? What this?
I open the box and there was another box in it.
I felt the same feeling I felt when I finished my homework. I picked it up and tried to open it but I couldn't. I focused on it while trying to open it again but this time it opened. It began to hover and a hologram showed up.
???: to whoever find this holocron and opened it, you have been chosen and hand picked by the force to be trained in the ways of the force. On this hologram there will be a map to a teleporter that will bring you to a temple of the force. Where you will be trained to become the best force-user you could be. Good luck and remember. The force will always be with you
The hologram then changed into a map.
(Y/n): well... I have no where else to go. I guess I have no choice
I picked up the holocron and began to follow the map. But I wonder about that girl who saved me back at the town. I hope she's fine. I want to thank her for saving me again. I do hope i can meet her again.
I begin to make my way towards the destination on the map.
