HOSPITAL ROOM

Y/N POV
my eyes slowly opened but quickly shut realizing I was laying facing the ceiling lights
my throat felt dry and my skin felt rougher then usual
I peaked into my gown realizing I still had dried blood on me
I noticed three large bandaged bumps under the thin sheet of hospital gown I wore. there was one on my side, one towards the left area of my stomach and one right below my rib cage
I felt my breath start to pick up decspite the pain it brought and tried looking for my phone around the bed instead I let out a rather loud painful noise
a nurse rushed in along with dudeylo and dd
"omg your awake?" The nurse asked
"nah bitch I'm still out where the fuck is my shit at"
I yelled makin dudey with a worried face and dd a shocked expression
"the medications we put her on have very strong side affects when it comes to emotions and as you can see the aggression is moving through her" the nurse whispered to dudey
she walked over to me with a clip board and leaned towards me
"hii honeyy, how are you feeling" she smiled
"I'm..fine." I said taking a deep breath in between cuz I knew i was tweakin
"do you know where you are?" She asked
"if I had to guess I'd say a hospital room" I said closing my eyes
"do you know what happened to you?" She continued
"I got shot." I sighed
"do you know who shot you"
"nope." I said slowly opening my eyes getting annoyed with the questions
"did it hurt"
"get the fuck out" I whispered
I watched as she left sayin she'll come by later while closing the door behind her
dd and dudey rushed over to both sides of the bed and gently hugged me
"we so glad you good ma heart" dd whispered
"yeah we was worried lil sis" dudey said with that same worried expression
"can one of y'all hand me my phone I needa call Darrian he's probably worried" I laughed
"wait where's is he?" I asked them
I watched as they looked at eachother and sighed
"why isn't he here where is he" I said louder feeling the tears burn at my eyes. I felt my chest start to go up and down when dudey tried to calm me
"chil chil he was here swear he was but then" he stopped
"then what" I yelled
"why didn't he stay with me?" I sobbed
I felt weird. I was overly emotional and it was irritating me
"listen, he was turnin the world upside down when he found out you got pulled up on. he did some shit I know he don't regret but he caught a charge cuz of it. he loves you n Ik he'll find away to make it back to you as soon as possible aii" dd said pullin out his phone and going to his contacts
"HE KILLED SOMEBODY" I yelled in disbelief
"nah but he promised too" dudey laughed
dd put his phone to his ear as it rung
the person answered and I immediately recognized the voice . it was jstar on the line asking me how I was doing
I reached for the phone and dd passed it to me while sitting on the bed
he pulled out a spliff and his lighter when dudey slapped the back of his head makin him put it away
"hello?" I said into the phone
"youn know how good it is to hear ya voice yougin" jstar chuckled with a sigh
"is ddot with you?" I responded biting my lip
"not yet he jus gotta get his monitor on n he'll be out to da v, you doin Alr tho" he asked
"yes. it just hurts to breath a little" I spaced off
dd looked at dudey and he quickly got up getting a nurse
"lay down ma heart, ima bring ya man to you alr" he laughed
"okay, thank you and tell him I called please? I want him to know I'm okay" I trialed
"I will youngin, get some rest. see you" he said hanging up the phone
I put it by my side and tried to take a deep breath but couldn't
the nurse came jogging in with a ventilator while I layed back
she put it over my mouth sayin to just relax and let the extra air move through me
I closed my eyes waitin on ddot to get here
DDOT POV
I swung open the nypd door walkin out pissed as shit
I had a packet of paper work in my hand along with some new extra added weight to my ankle
I kissed my teeth as I seen jstar recording me through the windshield
I opened the passenger door throwin the papers in the back and closing my eyes
"how long they give you" he asked
"it's on da paper." I replied eyes still closed
"damn 6 months??" He shouted
"my p.o a bitch too" I sighed
"ya lady was jus otp fo you got here" he said
my eyes shot open and my body sat up right
"she's awake?? oh fuuckk" I groaned
"ain't you posed to be happy ma heart" I looked at me confused while putting the car in reverse
"I wanted to be there when she woke up bro damn did she ask where I was?" I shouted
"yeah word was she cried when she woke up n you wasn't by ha side, but I think the bros filled her in on ya situation now we jus gotta get you there" he said speeding outta the parking lot
I silently prayed to God hoppin she wasn't hurtin cuz of my absence
we pulled into the parking lot and I quickly got out of the car running all over again
Once we got inside I seen the same surgeon talkin to dd and dudey and it felt like daja vu all over again
I tried walking into the room when he stopped me
"before you go in..there were some complications with her state and...we had to induce her into a coma, we're not too sure when or if she'll wake up" he sighed
"whatchu mean she was jus fine" I yelled
"we sorry ddot but she knew you tried to get here" dudey whispered patting my shoulder
I ran into the room and seen her. my girl layin in the bed hooked up to hella machines n not movin
"no no no" i cried walking over and holding her hand
"I'm so sorry I was too late mama" I cried loudly

i quickly got outta the car running back into the same hospital I had been at hours ago
I went up to the same counter asking for y/ns room
the nurse pointed to 401 right next to the room her surgeon had walked out of
I jogged over swinging the door open hard as it banged against the wall making y/n eyes shoot open
she took off this sort of mask lookin thing and smiled
"you jus couldn't stay outta trouble huh" she laughed
I ran over to her and hugged her as gently as possible lettin my emotions run through me
"I thought I lost you ma" I cried
jstar dudey and dd had left the room to give us some privacy
"I missed you so much pa" she said weakly trying to hug me back
"I'm sorry if I worried you" she said lookin up at me with big eyes
I sat on the bed with her hand in my and leaned in to kiss her lips
"I went crazy withoutchu" I said kissing on her neck
"I love you mama, I love you so much." I whispered
and it all clicked . that's what I was missin this whole time. my lady, my love
