Charlotte's P.O.V (I don't remember what I named her.)
Richard just said he didn't want anything to do with us and he was staring at me. But all those months ago it was so different.
(9 months ago at Charlotte's wedding.)
Richard had walked up to the podium to give his speech for my wedding. He looked at ava and nodded as if signaling for her to do something. Ava started to play the piano.
And Richard started to say his speech.
"If someone told me my sister would get married before me I would say hell no. But now that it has happened I now am glad because i still need time. But if you told me when I was in highschool that she would be dating my best friend I wouldn't believe you. But she was the only reason I survived highschool. Now that I'm 23 I now have the wisdom of her back then. And I just wanted to say I couldn't be more happy for her. I love you Charlotte"
Why can't it be like that anymore. I thought as a tear was slipping down my face. I composed myst and I knocked on my brother's door. "Go away Charlotte." My brother screamed voice cracking. Was he crying? Richard are you okay can I come in? "GO AWAY CHARLOTTE" He screamed. I heard a loud thud Richard I'm coming in. I said opening the door. I found him on the ground crying. I rushed over to him and asked what was wrong. He started to hipervenalate. Wow Richard calm down what's wrong. Take a second to breathe. "Please just go away... I just want to be alone." He whispers.
But. "I said I wanted to be alone. Now leave." Richard said his tone flexuating between sad and angry and hurt. He reached for a shoe and threw it. I was lucky enough to be able to dodge. What the hell is wrong with you Richard. I screamed. He got a high heel from Ava's bin in his room and threw it at me at max speed. This went on for a while till we both started to laugh.
"Char remember that one time when you got bullied at school and told me." Richard said laughing.
Uh how could I forget you beat their asses to a pulp. Your friends had to hold you back before you beat them to death with a baseball bat. I said angry but I was still laughing because of the face Richard made.
"Hey you two. Dinners ready come before it gets too cold." Ava said walking into the room and wiping her hands on her apron.
Richard snuck behind me and picked me up. I screamed put me down Richard. He acted hurt. "So you don't want a piggy back ride." He said teasing me. Richard I'm too old for that besides look at me I'll break your back. Richard just smiled and put me on his shoulders. "Hang on tight." He said running out of the door and down the stairs with his arms out like a airplane. I nearly fell off I was laughing so hard. This reminds me of the old days before he went to prison and before he got married. Before everything. Back when it was just us. Princess Charlotte and king Richard.
*Flashback to when Charlotte was 6 and Richard was 14*
"Richard Richard Richard." Charlotte said desperately trying to get her brother's attention. "What do you want little squirt" He said tickling his sister. "Stop it stop it" Charlotte said giggling. "Could you give me a piggy back ride. Pleeeeease" Charlotte pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
"Fine go get in your dress and we will go to the park and have some fun." Richard said smiling. Charlotte dashed up the stairs and got ready. She came down and was picked-up by Richard. "Come on you little squirt. To adventure!" He said putting Charlotte on his shoulders. And dashing to the park. Which was only down the road. They laughed Alot that day.
*End of flashback*
I snickered at the memories of us as kids.
Hey Richard. I said. "Whta." He said mouth full of rice. I love you. He started to tear up. Because I haven't said that in years. The last time I did was... Before he went to help dad. Ever since I kept to my self and acted mature for my age. When I was 16 I acted like I was 21. I never said I love you to anyone after that. Sometimes I would get flirted with by grown men and my brother had to knock some since into them. It always made me uncomfortable and it still does.
