EXTRA 7: @[Have Fang JunRong and Jiang DeXian started dating yet]
Fang JunRong gave him a charming look and wondered if she hadn’t been very nice to him in the past. Why else would he be that happy when she had only given him so little?
She smiled and placed a piece of toast in his bowl. “Try this. It was made the way you like.”
It was slightly burned.
And that look on Jiang DeXian made it difficult for her to look at. Any one who didn’t know better would think that he was eating the liver of the dragon or marrow of the phoenix rather than just plain toast.
Having difficulty resisting, Fang JunRong cleared her throat slightly and reminded him of something.
“They had it figured out.”
With the piece of toast in his mouth, Jiang DeXian gave Fang JunRong a baffled look and asked, “Figured what out?”
Fang JunRong was speechless for a little bit and said to him, “They found your secondary account and figured out that it belonged to you.”
Fang JunRong did not check Weibo before she went to bed the night before. When she woke up and got online, she learned that there was nothing about Jiang DeXian’s secondary account that hadn’t already been discovered.
All she could say was that one should not underestimate this generation's Sherlock Holmes netizens.
All of them had magnifying glasses as eyes and could always see the slightest details that had been omitted by others.
Jiang DeXian’s secondary account, “Have Fang JunRong and Jiang DeXian started dating yet?” had not logged in since the night before.
Not even after the sweets-of-the-year event such as Jiang DeXian professing his fondness for Fang JunRong in person.
This account, in the past, had always been on the front line and was the first to repost any and all sweetness and confirmed incidents.
As such, someone started wondering whether said account owner attended the award ceremony the night before.
The timing was just too peculiar.
Even though some netizens felt that that was a bit too wishful thinking – after all, most of those who attended the award ceremony were reputable.
Why would someone like that become the head of a group of CP fans? Regardless, there were still the ones who didn’t have anything better to do who started looking into this.
First, they were able to eliminate a group of individuals from the cellphone model alone.
Next, some of the sweet posts organized by this account owner were joint posts that nobody was able to find elsewhere online.
That suggested that the photographer knew Fang JunRong on a personal level, which was why they had no qualms about posting personal photos like these. That eliminated over half of individuals out there.
Then there were screenshots of Jiang DeXian’s “Match made in heaven! Have some sugar!” when he logged into the wrong account.
That tone sounded too much like the fan lead.
All of the damning evidence suggested that Jiang DeXian was the person behind the account.
This conclusion stunned all of the netizens.
Jiang DeXian, with his precious and elegant big boss image, registered for a secondary account and promoted his own CP with Fang JunRong. Who could be more of a flirt than him?
That was certainly the sweets of the year to the CP fans. There was nothing that they could contribute when the person-in-question was so flirty.
There was such a sweetness overload that they could pass out.
Fang JunRong said calmly, “They did not have proof of you logging into the account so you can still deny it if you want to.”
Jiang DeXian finished up a piece of toast, pulled out his phone, and chuckled when he read all about it. “That was such agossiping ability.”
Then he started posting on Weibo.
Fang JunRong took a look and noticed that Jiang DeXian had no intention to deny that at all. Instead, he posted from the “Had Fang JunRong and Jiang DeXian started dating yet?” account and expressed that: Since you have already figured out, I can do nothing more than letting you in on the truth. This is my primary account. You shouldn’t only focus on my secondary account but should focus on this one instead.
[We’ve seen shameless people but never someone this shameless!]
[Jiang DeXian’s image in my mind had crumbled into pieces. Why did he seem even cuter now?]
[Yes. Yes. Yes. We all know that your full-time job is to pursue Boss Fang and working is your part-time job. EyesRolling.JPG]*
[Oh shoot. I wouldn’t dare to write this into my fanfiction!]
[OOOOOOOooooohhhh! I can’t help but to let out a chicken-like shriek! Ok, fine! I’ll have this sugar, alright?]
There had been those who were mocking Jiang DeXian before but, after his last Weibo post, expressed that he now had their total respect and started teasing him even.
Fang JunRong couldn't help but shake her head. Her lips, however, curved upward. She gave him a swift kick under the table then, with a straight face, said, “Go to work after breakfast!”
Li XinYun, who had been focusing on devouring her breakfast, looked up and gave her a speechless look. “Mom, that was me that you’ve kicked!”
Fang JunRong, “……”
Even Fang JunRong felt a little bit embarrassed about that.
Li XinYun took a sip of fruit juice and started singing a song that she had written herself. “I should have been under the table, not sitting next to the table looking at how lovey-dovey the two of you are~ That way it will be easier for me to give up……”
Jiang DeXian, who had just, a minute ago, posted his shameless message onto Weibo, finally ran off in her singing.
Fang JunRong looked at her daughter who was indulging in her singing and said, “Okay, he’s already gone. Are you still going to keep singing?”
Li XinYun finally stopped her singing and gave her mother a blue look. “Mom, am I still your most beloved sweetheart?”
Fang JunRong immediately put on a solemn look. “You will always be the most important person to me. Nobody can ever measure up to you.”
Li XinYun finally had a smile on her face. “That’s what I thought too!”
She paused for a little and added, “If you want to date him, go ahead and date him. I don’t object to that. I am okay as long as he is nice to you.”
Her mother had already sacrificed a lot for her. She couldn’t be that selfish.
Even though there would always be flies and cockroaches who would tell her stuff like her status would for sure fall to rock bottom when her mother remarried, Li XinYun never paid attention to any of those.
That was not who her mother was. Those people were only looking at matters from the worst light and didn’t like to see her happy.
If she let them get to her, she would truly be hurting her most important family.
Fang JunRong said, “He has to be nice to you too.”
Li XinYun glued onto her and, after chatting with her some more, picked up her purse and left for the office.
Other students had time to rest and play over the summer time but, to her, summer time was the start of her busy days. ‘
Fang JunRong smiled slightly, finished up the last fried egg on the plate, and left for a tea shop.
She and Zhang ZhiSu talked about partnering up on a piece of land in the Beihe District when they ran into each other yesterday.
They had planned to meet up today to talk about it at length. Zhang ZhiSu and Fang JunRong were allies of sorts and a lot of their gains were tied together.
Zhang ZhiSu had played a big role in her being able to become a major shareholder of Gaoyuan Corporation. Fang JunRong had not forgotten that favor.
Zhang ZhiSu had arrived way before Fang JunRong at the tea shop. He smiled at her when he saw her. “Morning.”
Fang JunRong looked at the wall clock. It was almost 11 AM. She couldn’t exactly call that morning.
Sitting down, she noticed that Zhang ZhiSu had dressed differently today. Compared to the modern western style casual wear, Zhang ZhiSu seemed to prefer cheongsam more.
He always looked like a scholar from the old days. Today, however, he was wearing a suit.
He was still handsome because of his features but, being used to seeing him in cheongsam, seeing him in suits was just odd.
Perhaps she had stared at him for a little too long, Zhang ZhiSu had noticed it as well. He smiled gently and asked, “Do I look strange?”
Fang JunRong said politely, “You are very handsome.”
“Good then.”
Sitting across from him, Fang JunRong ordered a pot of tea that she enjoyed before the two started their discussion.
Inevitably, there were some disagreements during the process but the two decided to set those items aside and discuss the ones that they could agree upon first.
An hour went by just like that and it was almost noon time. Zhang ZhiSu invited Fang JunRong to have lunch together.
Fang JunRong nodded and accepted his invitation. They went over to a family cuisine place recommended by Zhang ZhiSu.
Each dish was very delicate and could be finished in two bites. They looked like art. They were tasty too, though not exactly what Fang JunRong normally enjoyed. It wasn’t too bad to try something different occasionally.
The two returned to the tea shop to continue their discussion after they had lunch.
By 4 PM, they had reached agreements on most of the conditions except for one portion that needed extra attention.
It was time for Fang JunRong to take off. She planned to go home for dinner tonight. Zhong Yi’s grandmother was going to make one of her favorite dishes tonight.
“Wait a second,” said Zhang ZhiSu to her.
Fang JunRong looked at him, perplexed. Regardless, she was relatively free today and had some extra time to wait around. Ten minutes later, someone knocked on their door. Fang JunRong opened up the door and saw a bouquet of lilies.
“This is for Ms. Fang JunRong. Please sign for them.”
Fang JunRong turned to look at Zhang ZhiSu. “This is from you, right?”
Zhang ZhiSu nodded.
After Fang JunRong had signed for them and held the flowers against her chest, she joked, “You are not thinking about courting me, are you?”
Zhang ZhiSu said casually, “You are a very outstanding woman.”
Fang JunRong shook her head. “You are not courting me because you like me. You are only doing so because you feel that I will make a suitable matriarch for the Zhang family?” She paused then said, “Was this the reason that you’ve changed the way you dress? Because you think that I prefer men in suits?”
Zhang ZhiSu said, “I appreciate you a lot and I guess I like you. There is nobody else that I like more than you.”
Fang JunRong was very nice. Let it be herself or her moral standard. She had her own bottom line that she abided by and she followed the principles of live and let live.
That was what he liked most about her. If he was to choose a wife, she was a very good candidate. He had just noticed yesterday that he wasn’t the only one who thought that and many liked her. Which was why he was courting her today.
Fang JunRong looked at the serious-looking Zhang ZhiSu and sighed. “I trust that what you said is true but like is like. It’s not the same as love.”
Noticing that Zhang ZhiSu was about to say something else, she stopped him with a gesture. “I don’t need money or status right now. I need something real. You are the patriarch of the Zhang family and you must always put the Zhang family interest above everything else. I don’t think that you will be able to give me what I want.”
She could earn her own money and fight for her own romance.
“You appreciate me but that does not mean that you love me. For example, the flowers that you bought me are very pretty but they're not the kind that I like.”
Fang JunRong much prefered tulips to lilies.
Zhang ZhiSu was taken aback a little. “So you like Jiang DeXian more?”
Fang JunRong nodded. It was just because he had shown her his heart in its purest form but also that both of them shared the same experiences. Naturally, she couldn’t possibly tell Zhang ZhiSu the latter.
“You are right. I can’t do as much as he could,” said Zhang ZhiSu, curving his lips a little. “He’s a lucky man.”
Zhang ZhiSu was quite gentlemanly when it came to this. Perhaps, Fang JunRong was right after all and that his appreciation and fondness for her were far from love.
“Thank you. The lilies are very pretty.”
Fang JunRong turned and left after she said that to him.
Even though she had declined Zhang ZhiSu’s romantic approach, that did not affect their cooperation. She only accepted the lilies to thank him for his fondness toward her.
When she returned home, she saw a big bouquet of fresh tulips on the dining table and its faint fragrance surrounded her.
She didn’t need to see to know who they were from.
Looking at the flowers, Fang JunRong’s lips curved upward and she posted a Weibo message.
