Chapter 115 - She hadn't expected that a picture was taken of the scene and uploaded onto the internet.
As though a warm current had flown through him, Jiang DeXian’s lips curved up reflexively. Recalling his previous life, however, brought the curve back down. His thin lips tightened into a solemn look.
“2 years and 3 months after you passed away.”

Fang JunRong could listen to that calmly now.

“I don’t remember ever sponsoring orphanages.”
Jiang DeXian’s smile deepened. “But you sponsored many children going to school every year and our orphanage was one of them. Because of you, we were able to go to school and had an opportunity to live a better life. You sponsored all of my tuition.”
So that was the reason?
Fang JunRong had no idea. After all, she wasn’t able to get to know every person that she sponsored. Her lips curved and she said, “I am glad to see that my money was not wasted.”
“After I learned that you were the sponsor, I had been wanting to meet you and thank you in our previous lives.”
Nevertheless, after he had looked into it, the person that he wanted to thank the most was already gone.

Fang JunRong went silent for a little while and said, “I accept your appreciation then.”
“Can you also tell me what happened to Li WangJin and the others afterward?”
She suspected that the dream that she had once was the actual outcome. Too bad she only gleaned limited information from her dream.
All she saw was that Li WangJin had a stroke, Li ShiZe had gone bankrupt, and Jiang YaGe was with Wang Xiao – regardless, even that much made her feel better.

Jiang DeXian told her the final outcome of each and every single person in a calm voice.
Fang JunRong could not have been happier. What was that saying? She was happy as long as they were unhappy.
At least all those who deserved to suffer bad consequences had received them.
She gave Jiang DeXian a dubious look. “Did you contribute to it?”
Looking at how well Jiang DeXian knew about where each person had ended, it was very likely that he had a hand in this.
Jiang DeXian smiled and, still maintaining his harmless look, said humbly, “My contribution was only a very insignificant part of it all.”
Fang JunRong,”……”
She couldn't help but aske, “Can I ask what your net worth is now?”
Jiang DeXian was certainly a fairly successful person in his previous life if he was able to make things happen.
She didn’t believe that he would only be her assistant after his rebirth.
“Probably about the same as your daughter. I was lucky in the past, most of my investments yielded good returns.”
Fang JunRong was speechless. She was not familiar with stocks, etc. She could rebirth another 100 times and she would probably still lose her pants if she was to dabble into the stock market. He was probably the wealthiest assistant in China. Fang JunRong felt both ridiculous and comical. She had also noticed that Jiang DeXian had been very honest with her and would answer any questions that she had, without withholding any information. Did he really trust her that much?
“What a waste to have you as my assistant.”

“You are not considering quitting at all?” Fang JunRong was truly baffled. Did he need to do that much just to repay her? That was completely unnecessary.
“You can think of it as me wanting to have some backing for myself?” said Jiang DeXian slowly.
Okay, she could sort of buy that. The cake in the market was only so big. As a new-rise star, surely he would be a target of most. She would not be bragging when she said she, too, was a big fish now. That thought made her feel a little prideful.
“I can go and show my support [flaunt our relationship] when your company goes IPO.”
“Okay.”
Sometime occurred to her all of a sudden. “Don’t you have any questions for me?” It seemed she was the only one asking questions all along.
“No. I like how it is right now.”
She was still alive and that was all that mattered.
The two ended the topic there. Fang JunRong didn’t say much. She only asked if he remembered any other disasters and they would try to warn the others if at all possible. At least do what they could.

The arrival of Jiang DeXian didn’t stir up too much attention .
XinYun had long since gotten used to this assistant being around. She had no idea that this assistant’s net worth could match hers. Fang Tian, on the other hand, gave him a few extra looks and found him ridiculously good looking.
Over the next few days, Fang JunRong picked the location for her factory. XinYun had tried their fruits and they were tasty. They could be made into dried fruits for fruit juice.
By the 8th day of rain, news came from Dingyang Village. Part of the Danxi Mountain fell apart and there was a landslide. The few houses close to the foothill were buried by mud.
Dingyang Village was not wealthy and at most the buildings were two-story tall. If there were anyone inside of them at the time, the chances of them surviving were dismal.
When the villagers heard about the news, all of them had blank looks on them. Being in town for the last few days, they had been wanting to return after the initial novelty.
Unfortunately, they had been stopped by the government workers. Plus, with the torrential rain, they couldn’t get back even if they wanted to.
They had cursed a lot about the government being excessive behind their backs. They only excluded Fang JunRong from their cursing because she was going to build a factory there.
Who would have thought that a landslide would really have taken place?
The few whose houses were close to the mountain gasped and felt fear after the fact.
Their entire family could have died inside. They had arguably rubbed shoulders with Death.
A landslide was no small feat, the city was alerted as well, and more from above had been sent.
Mayor Mo was very pleased with his own decisiveness and the reminder from Fang JunRong. The photos taken by drones startled everyone. No more villagers dared to gripe about the government in private anymore. Anyone who dared to do that would most likely be slapped by their own elders.
Looking at the photos, the only thought in Fang JunRong’s mind was that: Once they had taken care of the mud from the landslide, there would be a lot of room and it would make it even easier to repair the road. That being said, she would still need to have an expert check it out first.
When the villagers realized what had happened, they ran in front of Fang JunRong and quickly knelt down in front of her.
Fang JunRong was startled by their actions. “Get up, you all. What are you doing?”
“Thank you, Boss Fang. Thank you for warning us and having us evacuate. We would not be able to get out otherwise.”
“To think that we spoke poorly of you behind your back in the past. We are such horrible people.”
Fang JunRong looked over at Jiang DeXian standing behind her and said, “Actually it was thanks to the reminder of my assistant and also to Mayor Liu’s quick response. It would not have gone so smoothly otherwise.”
“Right, right, right. We have all of you to thank!”
“Why don’t you get up first. If you really want to thank me, just work hard and don’t slack off when you work at my factory,” said Fang JunRong.
“That goes without saying! I will beat up whoever that tries to slack off!” The Village Head even gave the other villagers a stare when he said that. Unfortunately, as he was kneeling down, he didn’t seem particularly authoritative.
It took Fang JunRong quite some convincing before she was able to get them back onto their feet. Deep down inside, she understood that it was their simple and direct way to express their appreciation.
What she didn’t expect was that someone had taken a photograph of the scene and uploaded them onto the internet. That had further led to another minor incident.
The picture was taken by Xu Jin, a local who happened to walk past.
He had no idea of the backstory but only saw a lot of villagers kneeling down in front of Fang JunRong. That was not a scene that one would see every day.
He looked into it some and found out that the one on the receiving end was a big boss who would very likely open up a factory in town.
He felt that he had the answer. The villagers must be pleading with the boss by kneeling in front of her. He heard that Dingyang Village had undergone some sort of disaster, so perhaps they wanted the big boss to shell out some money?
What he was thinking was: It must be nice to be rich. One would be able to experience being knelt to.
Xu Jin enjoyed surfing Weibo or Douyin normally. He even uploaded a few videos himself; unfortunately, the views were pathetic and barely made any ripples.
Looking again at the video that he had recorded, the more he looked, the more he felt that the person in the video looked familiar to him. He figured it out after a few minutes. That was Fang JunRong! She was famous. Not only because of her look but also because of Beautify Pills and Hair Growing Cream.
These two products were not only in high demand domestically, but they were also sold overseas. Many from overseas even hadthose in China to purchase the pills for them.
Even one bottle of pills was difficult to come by. Especially that Hair Growing Cream, even the royalties were advertising for her.
Many had said that Fang JunRong had brought up the reputation of domestic products. It let others know that there were Chinese skincare products that rivaled those overseas.
Unlike the other customers, who only wished to refer to Fang JunRong as “Daddy”, Xu Jin was not a fan of Fang JunRong.
He felt that she was too showy and drew too much attention as a woman. That made a man like him feel very uncomfortable.
The only thing that her husband did was make a mistake that any man would make and she pretty much made him disappear.
