Once my dad and I got onto the highway I couldn't take it anymore. "Why are we leaving so early?"
"Because they are after you," my dad said
After that we sat in silence for what seemed like hours. Finally I asked who and why "they" are after me. He explained that I am part of this prophecy. Apparently my mom met a prophet who said that she would bear a child that would live up to greatness to defeat all evil, and "they" were the cruelty gang. They are the most evil creatures ever, none of them are human accept the leader of the gang, Ivan. He fell in love with my mom but she never loved him because he was full of so much evil. He swore revenge on all humanity for that and that she would pay for the pain she had caused him. Ivan heard the prophecy and is now out to kill me so I don't fulfill the prophecy. I have to save everyone from the evil and have to fight off the cruelty gang. How am I supposed to live up to that? I am not a warrior or a soldier let alone a savior. We finally arrived at a hotel and checked in. The guy at the front desk said that we were in Arizona. I must have fallen asleep and slept for hours my dad said I slept the whole boat/car ride. when we got to our room, I opened the door and saw a suite smaller than my bedroom at home with two twin beds and a small bathroom. Just being dad and I it wasn't awful but it was a little crammed. Dad said it was only temporary until we moved again because the gang would follow our tracks quick. Dad went to bed but I couldn't sleep, partially because I had almost hibernated on our way here and I couldn't stop thinking about the prophecy.
Eventually the need to sleep became to strong and I fell asleep, my head filled with dreams of what the future holds.
