With the Investigators:
F/n:"Well, let's just say that I offered that someone should stay behind at headquarters and every few days or so we take shifts. Mr Yagami said no and I didn't want to argue or anything of the sort soooo I just went with it."
L just nodded his head, listening to what F/n says.
With Light:
Light:"Ms. Maki, please wait. It's impossible to meet L. It's useless."
At this point, Light was right next to her. 'Maki' stopped walking as light stood in front of her.
'Maki':"He might... allow me to meet him. I only followed his orders from beyond a computer screen, but two years ago in America, worked on a case under L."
Light:"You worked under L?"
He was a bit shocked with the new information the woman gave him.
'Maki':"Until three months ago, I was an FBI agent."
Light:'This is it... I can use this.'
Light:"Is that so? It's no wonder. Your actions are not of those of an amateur. You move carefully and wisely as you get to the heart of the matter."
Light walked around the woman to go the opposite direction from her with his hands going back into his pockets.
Light:"I'd like to learn from you."
Ryuk did his signature chuckle as he watched with amusement.
Ryuk:"It's amazing how you can line up all those lies like that."
'Maki':"I must approach this in my own way. I have to suspect the police and even the people within the task force. But I trust L. I thought that if I went ot headquarters and have them verify my name and face, I'd be able to speak directly to L."
Light:"I see. But why did you tell me that you wanted to talk to L?"
'Maki':When I wasn't allowed to see someone from the task force, I became angry. Then I ran into someone who claimed to be the son of one of the lead detectives. No, that's not it. I'll tell you the truth. You seemed like L. I felt that you two are similar."
Light fully turned his body towards her as he spoke with her.
Light:"Shall we investigate the case together?"
'Maki':"Huh?"
Light:"Will you work as an agent in the task force? Of course, not just anybody is allowed. But we need people like you! Oyu could be doing more than gathering general information. You were an FBI agent. You're more talented than our current detectives. Even L trusted you. To join the task force, you need proper identification,a recommendation from a current detective on the team, and at last, L's permission."
'Maki':"You want me to join the task force?"
Light:"It must be fate too meet you here! I'll recommend you! Oh, sorry. I got carried away."
'Maki':"N-No it's fine."
Ligyt:"Even if you can cooperate with the investigation, I understand you have personal circumstances to attend to. Especially since you live in America..."
'Maki':"I was planning to continue living with my fiancé in America, and he and I were to get married this spring. But now that he passed away, I'm lost as to what I'll do."
Light:'All right. Since I've come this far, I'll push a little.'
Light:"But your still young and beautiful. You shouldn't be involved in this."
'Maki':"No. I don't have anything to lose. I want to catch Kira! That's all I want to do! Please let me investigate with you!"
Ryuk let out one of his sinister laughs as he knew exactly what is about to happen.
Light:"Thank goodness. Well, may I see something that may act as some form of personal ID?"
'Maki':"About that..."
Light;"Yes?"
'Maki':"Actually, that name I gave you earlier was not my real name. I'm sorry."
Light:"Huh? That's alright. Amazing! Who would've thought you were so careful? You're one step ahead of me. That's even further proof that you're qualified."
'Maki':"Is a Japanese driver's license okay?"
Light:"Yes."
'Maki' took her drivers license out of her bag and gave the card to Light. Just then, it started snowing. Aizawa, who wasn't too dar away, took out his umbrella and opened it, not seeing Light's little exchange. He walks past Light and 'Maki' as Light was writing her name down.
Light:'I made it.'
He then checked his watch as 'Maki' asked her last question.
'Maki':"Excuse me, but why do you always pay such close attention to your watch?"
Light looked up without the fake innocents in his eyes.
Light:"Oh, this? It's because... I'm Kira."
Light let his innocent mask slip off of his face as the woman's face turned into one of horror. Her eyes wide and dull. Her face pale as the soft snow. It was silent... The woman turned around and simply walked away.
Light:"What's wrong?"
'Maki':"There's something I have to do."
Light:"Oh? My father's cell phone is on now. Don't you want to talk to him?"
'Maki':"I have nothing I want to talk about."
Light:"I wonder, what was your relationship with Y/n anyway?"
The woman stopped for a moment and faced him.
'Maki':"He helped me with a case once. He was a help in a lot of cases honestly. He, and a friend of his, was at some point seen as a hero and a genius. Please, when you get the chance, tell him I said 'hey'."
She said it in a dull voice with a small smile of admiration. As soon as the smile came, it vanished back into the horrified face. She turned around and walked away. Light narrowed his eyes at the disappearing figure of the woman.
Light:"... Good-bye,Ms. Misora Naomi."
With Y/n and Oderaa:
Light:"... Good-bye, Ms. Misora Naomi."
Both:"..."
The both of them were nearby as they witnessed the whole ordeal.
To help you understand a bit, let's go back in time.
At the headquarters:
Oderaa was waiting outside for Y/n to come back out. Once Y/n was outside, he talked with a low, serious tone.
Y/n:"Hey, Oderaa. I think Light is about to do something. He seemed suspicious to me."
Oderaa:"Really? So what are we gonna do about it?"
Y/n:"So how about we follow Light till we give up or find something. I doubt he's gonna come out alone, by the way. You know that woman named Misora Naomi?"
Oderaa:"Yeah. She's that FBI agent that retired a few months ago. You also helped her in a few cases if I remember correctly. Why do you ask?"
Y/n:"I'm asking because she wants to tell someone from headquarters that she found a useful clue."
Oderaa:"Oh, really? Well, if the dude's gonna try and stop her, now would be a great time. I guess?(ー_ー゛)"
Y/n:"I mean, I don't have anything important to do today and your sisters are being watched over by your parents.乁| ･ 〰 ･ |ㄏ"
Oderaa:"Weeellllll, true... Welp, let's go stalk some killer that's probably gonna manipulate an ex-FBI agent.(人*'∀｀)｡*ﾟ+"
Y/n:"Yeah!(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*.✧"
I threw both of my hands in the air, as their in fists, out of playfulness and boredom. Well, now we wait patiently.
