Alonzo walked away from the double doors with a smile on his face and a hard on. If nothing else, he was going to have fun with his wife to be. She seemed timid when he first met her and a bit submissive. He could laugh at that now; his fiancé was no such thing. The girl was as stubborn as an ass and she could get bossy at times. Not saying that he didn’t like her being bossy, but she had to be taught who the real boss was; not even in the bedroom would she have control over him. The stubbornness would have to go however; that was something he could live without.

He admitted that he wanted her back in the bedroom; oh God did he want her but he had to teach her a lesson. Right now he wasn't even sure what the damn lesson was, he just wanted to storm back in there and give them both the release they needed. He should've known better than to mess with an emotional, hormonal, pregnant woman; she had to be a raging mess of hormones right now; but raging mess or not he could handle her.

It took all of his will power to keep him walking to his seat and not turn back around to go to the room. The attraction was definitely there, that was one less thing he had to worry about. The marriage would be a waste if there was no fun or attraction; he was glad that both were there.

Gabe was smirking when he approached his seat and sat down.

"Done already? That's a first; I heard you were a ladies man." Gabe said with a raised eyebrow

He just chuckled at him and lay his head on the back of the chair to rest. Gabe always had to make jokes and today was no different; he would just ignore them.

"Seriously man you could've kept it down. You could hear her scream throughout the whole plane."

Alonzo lifted his head and looked at Gabe with a raised brow. Gabe gave him a serious man look and nodded at the direction of the flight attendant who was walking their way. She was fidgeting uncontrollably and her face was red. Alonzo furrowed his eyebrows, was she really that loud? Well obviously so, had his poor flight attendant scared to do her job.

"Mr. Riccardi sir, the plane will be leaving any minute. The captain has put on the seat belt light, so please buckle up so that we can have a safe flight. If you or Mr. Smith need anything, please let me know, so this flight may be as comfortable as possible." She said while she shuffled from side to side.

"Thank you Christina" he said acknowledging her and she blushed even deeper before she walked off to her own seat to buckle up.

"Your fiancé is sexy," Gabe said, clearly trying to get under his skin, just like he always did.

"She is beautiful, isn't she?" He said

 "And young"

"Yes and young" he said with a small frown on his face.

"She seems nice, sweet, and caring. Good traits for a good mother."

Alonzo finally looked at Gabe "She's naïve Gaben but you’re right; she'll make a good mother"

He smirked when Gabe glared at him; he hated when people used his full name.

"She's going to fall you"

"I know, I've been nothing but controlling," he said with a heavy sigh

"Is that supposed to stop her from falling for you, maybe she likes bad boys."

"She doesn't know what she likes. I'm the first man she's ever been with." He mentally cringed at the thought. "She doesn't know all of me and we're going to keep it that way. I don't need her going out there doing something stupid. I need protection for her at all times, our best men and only people I can trust and those that have been loyal to the Riccardi family. Her security shall not be penetrated and if it is, then there's a rat and you know how I feel about fucking rats." He said growing angry by the idea.

He didn't put it past any one of his enemies, to try to hurt his fiancé and unborn child. Over the years, he had made life long enemies; whether he took an important business associate or had snatched their businesses from under their asses and crushed it. On many occasions, he’d had to put a bullet through the skull of someone who tried to mess with his family. Almost every mob family out there targeted his family and because he was the head of his family business now he had the biggest target on his back.

Gabe nodded his head, understanding every word he spoke knowing just how serious this situation was. He cocked his head to the side, as if he were trying to figure something out; then he smiled. "You care for her!" he exclaimed.

Alonzo was about to say something when Gabe beat him to it "You only protect people you care for and you my friend are protecting her."

"I'm protecting my child which she is carrying."

"Are you sure that is all you care about?" Gabe asked seriously

 "Yes"

"I don't believe you"

"You don't have to" he said ending the conversation.

Gabe sat back and looked at his friend and boss. The man had serious trust issues, but then again he couldn't blame him. He had been hurt badly when he was younger, when he was the same age of his fiancé actually; but he was blind too. He needed to open his eyes and see that Katrina was perfect for him. Katrina could change his friend for the good and he welcomed it. Alonzo was cold and brutal; traits that you needed to have to be in this kind of business; but he wasn't always like that. He had gotten accustomed to the new Alonzo but he wouldn't mind having the old one back. He still needed to be brutal, but Katrina could warm up his cold heart, if he allowed her to. He knew Alonzo very well though; he wouldn't let the poor girl get anywhere close to his heart.

The thought saddened him. If anyone deserved to be happy, it was Alonzo. He couldn't wrap his mind around which he was more afraid for Katrina or Alonzo. Katrina looked like a determined young woman to him, she may not know it yet but falling for Alonzo was easy; he'd seen plenty of women fall and Alonzo hadn't bother to catch them. He rarely picked them up but always sent them on their way. Alonzo was determined to stay unaffected and was successful so far, but as he had said, Katrina seemed very determined and stubborn. He snapped out of his thoughts when Alonzo started to speak again.

 -

"Marissa is back, she was the woman I was on the phone with before Katrina stormed off" Alonzo said and watched his friend’s face go from shocked to a deadly glare.

"Don't Alonzo." was all Gabe said

Alonzo looked at him with a scowl on his face "Don't what Gabe?"

"Don't hurt her." Gabe said with a serious face

"I care little for Marissa's feelings." he stated.

"I'm not talking about that bitch. I'm talking about your fiancé you do remember her right? With one phone call from Marissa, it seemed like she didn't exist; and you wonder why she stormed off and threw a temper tantrum." Gabe said furious

Alonzo tensed up and looked at him with a cold glare "Watch it, Gabe" he said, pointing his finger at his friend. He wasn't going to deny that he was surprised that Marissa had called him, after he all but kicked her out of his bed the last time, he thought he would never hear from her again. The thought had brought a smile to his face until she had proven him wrong.

"No, you need to hear this. You and Marissa have been on and off for years. You sleep with her, then you cut her loss and she runs and tells daddy. Now you have a wife to be and a child on the way, let her go already. Katrina will most likely fall in love with you; and that means you can break her heart like Marissa did to you all those years ago. Katrina is a beautiful woman, anyone would be glad to snatch her up when you're not looking or if you don't treat her right.

"ENOUGH" Alonzo growled while yanking off his seat belt. He leaned forward and clasped his hands together, afraid that he would reach for Gabe and knock the shit out of him. He was fuming and Gabe could see; he mentally flinched.

"If someone as much as puts a finger on Katrina, I will personally chopped their hands off and feed them to the wild boars; and then put a bullet through their head. I don't give a fuck what you think about me and Marissa, she's in my past; Katrina and my child are my future, no matter how much I don't like it. I love my child and I don't regret it but Katrina doesn't belong in my world. She will become my wife and if she or anyone else defies me, I will personally take care of it" he said then stood up stopping beside Gabe's chair and looked down at him on his way to the rear cabin. "You seem very fond of my fiancé Gaben, but it better be brotherly love. You're my friend and I care for you but you should know, better than anyone, that I trust no one. If it becomes more than brotherly, I won't hesitate to knock you the hell out. You're my right hand man but don't ever talk to me like that again." he said then walk off.

He walked towards the bronze doors and stopped in his tracks when Gabe spoke "I would never betray you like that Alonzo, I care for you like a brother."

"And I you," Alonzo said, as he walked into the room, closing the door behind him.

Alonzo leaned back against the doors with his fists clinched; he had come close to losing his temper with Gabe and needed to get away from him. It seemed funny that he ended up in the room with Katrina; her presence calmed him down.

She lay in the middle of the bed in a fetal position with her hand splayed protectively over her stomach. She was protecting their child, even in her sleep; it made him look at her in a different light. He couldn't imagine another man putting hands on her.

He wasn't blind to the fact that Marissa had damaged him a long time ago. She was the one woman that made him believe in 'happily ever after'. He was going to marry her and have children with her; but the night before their wedding he came home to find her having sex in their bed with one of her bodyguards. She looked him dead in his face and said 'I didn't expect you to be home so early, you never are.' he had looked her right in her face as he shot her body guard right between the eyes and said 'weddings off.'

That night his heart hardened and became cold. Marissa begged him for weeks to change his mind said that she was just lashing out at him, because he always worked and never spent time with her; but he wouldn't change his mind. She didn't deserve to be his wife; he no longer wanted a wife at all. Over the years, he would still let Marissa grace his bed for his own pleasure, he didn't care if she still believed in her mind that they were still together. He knew she knew deep down that it was nothing more to him then sex.

Marissa was nothing to him anymore; he meant it when he told Gabe that she was his past. Katrina and their unborn baby was his future now; but he would keep her at a distance. He had no choice; he wouldn't let anyone come close to his heart again. He wasn’t willing to take the chance, even if Katrina could be someone he could love. He was fine being in a marriage that was only physical and he hoped that Katrina would be too, he didn't want nor need her love.

He walked over to his beautiful fiancé sound asleep in his bed and sat down beside her. He carefully moved some tendrils of hair out of her face and studied her. She was more than beautiful she was breathtaking.

Her eyes fluttered open and she looked up at him. She looked in his eyes with heat in hers, he wasn't here to finish what he'd started or to fight; he was tired of arguing. He put his finger over her delicate lips to stop her from speaking.

"Go back to sleep"

She shook her head. "Join me," she said

He smirked down at her and watched that beautiful blush cover her cheeks; she was bossing him around again but this time he didn't mind it. He stood up and took off his suit jacket; and laid it on the foot of the bed. Her eyes followed his every movement, she turned her body completely around as he laid down on the other side of the bed.

She laid with both hands tucked under her face, while his elbow and palm kept his face up and his other hand twirled a piece of her hair on his finger; she tried to hide a small smile on her face. He noticed what he was doing and stopped immediately; he noticed the sad look and her eyes and cursed himself for doing something so stupid.

"I'll try not to be so stubborn, if you try not to be an ass," she said carefully and quietly.

He looked her in her eyes and she caste her eyes down, he gently lifted her chin up and said; "No promises."

A bright smile lit up her face and his breath stopped; God she's beautiful.

He turned her back around and pulled her close to his body. She grabbed his hand and carefully placed it on her stomach as she snuggled into him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Katrina could very well be the girl to capture his heart again and he wasn't sure if he was more afraid of it happening or worried that he would hurt her in the process. With his mind disarranged in thoughts and restless, he closed his eyes and went to sleep.
