An eventful weekend had passed for the family. Delilah would never disappoint the mom and daughter, the nanny had filled the ladies' happy stomachs with baked pandan flavor chiffon cakes, coconut pudding, and their favorite Delilah's cooking for their main meals.

Drew was looking forward to trading food with Giselle during their lunch time since Delilah had prepared extra dishes and dessert for Drew to pack up. She hoped her new friend would like it as much as she did.

It always revived her spirit when she saw the view at the far end of the cubicle. The brunette was sitting on her seat playing on her phone before she got her day kicked off.

Every little gesture the brunette made in the morning was mesmerizing in Drew's eyes. The brunette kept one of her earphones in her right ear, humming in her soft voice while taking a sip from her plain white mug of hot coffee.

Drew didn't need to know how good the aroma of the nice coffee and the soothing fragrance from the brunette was, since she had already become familiar with them. The taller girl tried to walk as quietly as she could without making any noise to interrupt the cutie's good time and tried not to look in her direction for attention. However, she could sense a pair of light brown eyes gazing in her direction.

When Drew looked at Giselle, as always, the eyes and the smile from the adorable brunette were what she needed, and never she got enough of them. Giselle was a soothing bright piece of the sun that peeked through the cloud in the warm morning.

The greeting from the brunette was always sweet and earnest, she gave a small wave to her senior before looking at her phone on the table again. A contented smile still lingered on Drew's face while she stored up her laptop and handbag in the cabinet under the table, switched on her CPU, and opened the drawer of her table.

Surprisingly, there was something eye-catching inside the drawer. A KitKat. It was something new for Drew knowing that there could be only one person who would do that.

She shifted her attention to the cutie across from her who was smiling at her, followed by a jolt from the mobile in Drew's suit pants pocket. She was expecting the message from the brunette, and quickly took out her phone, beaming while reading the text on her phone.

"I hope you have a good day ahead. Chocolate should help to cheer up a boring Monday."

Drew leaned her back against her chair and typed a nice reply and looked at the brunette.

"Thanks! That's kind of you. It would help lighten my mood for our long and fussy meeting with the cranky boss lady."

The brunette looked at her senior as she wrinkled her nose in disapproval after reading the message and earned laughter from the dark-haired girl.

Giselle looked around their surroundings and the place was still quiet without anyone here aside from them as she took her intercom and called her senior.

Drew tilted her head a little and picked up her phone and jested, "Good day, Miss Tang. It seems to be a bit early to ask any question related to the job, right?"

Giselle's tantalizing giggle was filling Drew's ears. However, she was still laughing, and her face was flushed as she eventually slowed down and said, "I think talking would be faster than text, but if we talk in your cubicle it might intrude on your personal space."

"I won't mind if you prefer to talk face-to-face with me," Drew said truthfully.

"You're nice, Drew. But, I have a question," Giselle said sheepishly.

"Shoot," Drew chuckled.

"But, this might be related to our jobs," Giselle said as she smiled apologetically.

"You know I was kidding, right?" Drew assured the brunette.

"Mhmm..." The brunette hummed in return as she asked, "Do we always have a meeting every Monday?"

"To answer your question, I'm sad to tell you that, yes, we do. Unless the boss takes leave on Monday but that seldom happens," Drew answered and she chuckled when the brunette across her pouted her lips and sighed softly.

"Well, that's sad. Miss Monica is kinda scary," Giselle shuddered a little.

"Were you nervous when Monica interviewed you?" Drew asked as she imagined how the adorable girl would react when she was having an interview.

"Yes, very much. I still remember that time we were in the meeting room, but they never switched on the Air conditioning. So, it was very humid. I had to make myself comfortable and not let her see that I was sweating. But I could feel the sweat leaking on my temples," Giselle said as Drew laughed heartily at her cuteness.

"Monica would wipe the sweat for you if she saw that," Drew joked as the brunette shuddered and giggled, "Eww, no. I was lucky she didn't see that! It would be so embarrassing if she found out."

Their nice conversation was reaching a high point, but the beep from the door interrupted them. The brunette quietly bid goodbye before ending their conversation and the pair continued to occupy themselves at their desktops.

Drew was amazed that the innocent girl was aware to behave, since she had known most of the ladies in this room enjoyed making stories and spreading gossip around the office which might influence the performance of their jobs.

The aura of the Monday meeting seemed slightly changed since the intimidating lady was in a good mood. The son of the CEO confidently pointed out his suggestion and shot the lady manager a wink, and the lady agreed with the cocky man with a contained smile.

At the evidence of the gesture between the spoiled brat and the lady, Drew and Giselle suppressed not cringing about what they had assumed what a good time Tom and Monica had spent.

The poor girls almost threw up when the pervy guy's eyes shamelessly scanned the older lady's back up and down and licked his lips while she was busy writing something on the whiteboard for further explanation.

Drew and Giselle would rather watch Monica in the meeting rapid fire several questions and a list of duties instead of watching Tom's disgusting behavior in the room. Even though Tom had a new target, Drew would never worry less that he wouldn't look for Giselle, since he would never give up all girls in this place, except for Drew.

The pair eventually found time to enjoy their lunch at their secret place after a long morning had passed. Drew eagerly shared the homemade dessert and the dish from Delilah with the cute brunette who was waiting expectedly.

Drew liked this session with Giselle a lot even though the food she traded from Giselle was delicious and the adorable brunette let out a happy hum of satisfaction while enjoying the food. It was the best trade she could have hoped for.

The taller girl was studying Giselle's pretty face. She had been thinking to ask her about this but worried this might offend the brunette. Regardless, curiosity took over her gut and she tried to ask nicely, "May I ask you a question?"

"Ask away," Giselle replied without hesitation while enjoying the coconut pudding with a soft moan.

"But I might offend you," Drew said truthfully.

"I know you won't," Giselle smiled in assurance.

"Okay," Drew hesitated a while and asked, "Are you mixed-race?"

"Yes, my mom is half Filipino and half Spanish, and my dad is Chinese, but he can't speak Chinese since his native tongue is English. So, I'm not good at Chinese either," Giselle seemed surprised as she hummed a little and she asked innocently, "How can you tell that?"

Unpredictably, Drew was stunned, but she should know the brunette might be curious. She had stalked Giselle's Facebook page after she saved the contact from her, and a friend's suggestion on Facebook effectively appeared on her page. Also, something interesting from Giselle's wall posts were a ton of Tagalog conversations with her friends.

Being careful not to slip her little secret, Drew inaudibly swallowed, "Your eyes. They are big and have double eyelids." And beautiful.

"You have double eyelids too," Giselle pointed out.

"But smaller," Drew chuckled and added, "With your features, I can tell you're mixed-race."

"You're the only person I know who says that. Most of them say that I'm a banana," Giselle said as her eyes were downcast. When the Chinese people got this nickname from the others, it was a sarcastic note that they can't speak Chinese. Drew felt sorry for the brunette, she put down her lunch box on the table and looked at the brunette to continue.

Giselle sighed softly and gave a small smile, "Nothing really bad. When I worked at my old place, my ex-colleagues discriminated against me because I don't speak Chinese. But they spoke English with each other." She shrugged a little.

"I'm glad you're not working there anymore. They're idiots for treating you like that," Drew said in disdain and she didn't like Giselle getting bullied by the morons who never appreciate her kindness.

Giselle's light brown eyes brightened up and her lips curled upward, her hand reached over Drew's hand and gently patted, "It's okay. They are past tense. I'm glad I left that place too because now I have an awesome senior."

"Are you sure about that?" Drew smirked a little and added, "You might cry and take back your words sooner or later."

"I doubt that. I can tell you're a great person since you never call me Banana," Giselle said confidently with a grin.

"I was supposed to call you a minion instead," Drew joked.

"Banana!" Giselle mimicked the minion with laughter.
