A month later
Neteyams POV:
Me and Ao' have been dating in secret for a month now, the only people who know is Tsireya and Kiri. Tsireya found out when Ao'nung came home late the night we first made out, she knew because of the two braids at the front of Ao'nungs hair just like mine, and Kiri found out because she caught us making out on the beach a couple weeks ago. So far no one else knows as Ao' and I begged them not to tell anyone. Anyway, today is our one month anniversary and Im planning on surprising Ao' with a ride on my Ikran, something I know he has been wanting to for ages. I plan on taking him to the top of a floating mountain off the reef a place where the Na'vi here are closest to Eywa. I wake up early in the morning before sunrise and tell Kiri were im going, getting her to cover for me to our parents, I know she wont say anything. I walk down the beach gathering a bunch of sea shells and flowers to make a beautiful scenery for Ao' and I. I Fly my Ikran Illa to the exact place im taking Ao' and start setting up at the top of the floating mountain. I place every sea shell and flower in a big heart shape on the ground. It looked almost as beautiful as him, I hope he's going to like it. Heading back home I see heaps of big sea animals in the water. Thinking nothing of it I fly back and go inside my family's hooch for breakfast. I walk in a Dad says " where were you Neteyam?" I give Kiri a quick glance " didn't Kiri tell you I was going for a swim?" I say " yeah she did but what were you really doing?" Mom asks " that is what I was doing mom, I went for an early morning swim to watch the sunrise" I said back. " okay then Teyam maybe let us know next time please" she says. "Yes mom, sorry". Kiri and I share a look, shes smiling at me, clearly happy for me, but not too happy to were it gives me away that ive found a special someone. We are sitting down all 6 of us around a big plate of food, absolutely devouring it. Moms cooking is amazing I hope she teaches me it for my future mate and I. I hope my mate will be Ao'nung. Yelling and laughing abrupt from everyone around the village " the Tulkun have come home, everybody our brothers and sisters have returned" I hear someone yell, it was Tsireya. We all get up and jump in the water calling our ilus. Following everyone to these animals, I see Ao' heading towards me, he comes up and grabs my hand pulling me off my ilu onto his, " Hey ma Tey" he says with the widest smile before he kisses me, looking around to see if anyone saw us, I kiss back " Hey ma Ao', whats going on?" I say " the Tulkun have returned from their migration, every Na'vi here has a spirit brother or sister, the Tulkun. Your going to meet my spirit brother Ar'ah" he exclaims. He takes me along the surface of the water to a Tulkun, who im guessing is Ar'ah as Ao'nung jumped off the ilu and swam up to him hugging him and signing something while looking back at me "hello bother, I met a boy id like you to meet" "is this him?" Ar'ah whistled as Ao'nung grabbed my hand pulling me in a side hug " this is Neteyam my boyfriend" he signed to his brother. "Hello Ar'ah, nice to meet you" I signed. Ao'nung laughed and Ar'ah whistled, we swim up to the surface " did I mess up the sign?" I ask Ao' as he laughs at me " yeah you did ma Tey, you signed 'hello Ar'ah meet you nice'" he said still laughing. " oh shit my bad, how do I say it properly?" I ask, Ao' grabs my hands using them to sign the proper thing to Ar'ah, he whistles and Ao' tells me what he said " Hello Neteyam, nice to meet you too, so you are Ao'nungs boyfriend, I hope you will treat him right" Wow this is amazing. The day goes by as everyone is catching up with their spirit brother or sister, telling them about new loves, deaths etc. Me and Ao' say goodbye to Ar'ah as he swims off with the rest of the Tulkun. That afternoon, Kiri tells Mom and dad that we are going for a swim with Ao'nung and Tsireya then we were going to stay at their hooch for the night, knowing what I had planed, Kiri told Tsireya and she covered for Ao'nung to their parents, saying they were staying at our hooch. We all meet up at the beach Ao'nung expecting to go for a swim with the rest of us goes to jump in the water, I grab his arm pulling him back, the girls jump in and swim away on their ilus "why arnt we going with them Tey?" Ao' asked a little upset " did you forget ma Ao' Its our one month anniversary" I said to him " no I didnt forget ma Tey" he said leaning in for a kiss. "Dont get too ahead of yourself Ao' ive got a surprise for you" I said blocking his lips from reaching mine. I hold his hand leading him over to Illa "this is my Ikran Illa, we're going for a fly, I know you have always wanted to" I said pulling him up onto Illa sitting in front on me.
Ao'nungs POV:
I woke up upset, it had been days since the Tulkun should have returned, but they hadn't. My mood was quickly lightened when I remembered it was mine and Neteyams one month anniversary of dating, I had spent all night last night making him a gift, a new arm bracelet and new hair jewelry, made from beautiful coral pieces and flax I found a couple nights ago that reminded me of him. It still wasnt finished as I had to make a few more hair jewels for his beautiful braids. Sunrise came and my family and I sat down for breakfast " mom dad, is it ok if Ao'nung and I stay with the Sullys tonight?, we were going to go for a late night swim with Neteyam and Kiri" Tsireya asked our parents " yes sure that will be fine Reya, as long as you guys are safe in the water at night I don't mind" father said. Having no idea what Tsireya was talking about I looked at her as she nudged me with her elbow " thank you mom and dad" she said " thanks mom and dad" I said as well, still confused at what we were doing, no one told me this. Next thing I know someone is running into our family's hooch " the Tulkun have returned, Chief Tsahik come on" the man said ushing my parents to come. Oh my god the Tulkun are back I have to find Neteyam, he has to meet Ar'ah. I click my tongue calling for my ilu and swim over to the sully family's hooch waiting for Neteyam. " the Tulkun have come home, everybody our brothers and sisters have returned" Tsireya goes around yelling, telling everyone. There he is, my beautiful Neteyam. I look over from a distance as Tey jumps in the water and onto his ilu, curiosity looking around at what everyone was doing. I swim over to him on my ilu grab his arm pulling him off his ilu and into mine. "Hey ma Tey" I say leaning in for a kiss, he looks around for anyone looking and quickly kisses me back " Hey ma Ao', what is going on?" He asks " the Tulkun have returned from their migration, every Na'vi here has a spirit brother or sister, the Tulkun. Your going to meet my spirit brother Ar'ah" I say gliding along the surface with Tey in front of me on my ilu. I see Ar'ah and jump off swimming up to him, hugging him and signing " hello brother, I met a boy Id like you to meet" "is this him?" He whistles as I pull Tey into a side hug " this is Neteyam, my boyfriend" I sign to him. "Hello Ar'ah meet you nice" he signs, god has this pretty boy not learnt anything I think laughing "did I mess up the sign?" He asked me I laugh and show him how to say it properly " Hello Neteyam, nice to meet you too, so you are Ao'nungs boyfriend, I hope you will treat him right" Ar'ah whistles back, I let Tey know what he said. He looks so mesmerized by Ar'ah and the rest if the Tulkun and the other Na'vi. The day goes by as I catch up with Ar'ah. Tey and I sign goodbye to Ar'ah as he swims off following the other Tulkun. That afternoon Tsireya tells me to get ready to go meet Neteyam and Kiri down at the beach. Still confused on what we are doing, I do what I was told, I grabbed the arm bracelet and hair jewelry I made for Tey just in case we had a moment alone, I know that Tsireya and Kiri knew about us but what did they have planned? Did Neteyam know what they were doing?. We meet up with the others. I go to jump in the water but I am pulled back by Neteyam. The girls jump in and swim away on their ilus giggling. " why arnt we going with them Tey?" I ask sadly "did you forget ma Ao' Its our one month anniversary" he said " no I didnt forget ma Tey" I said leaning in for a kiss. "Dont get too ahead of yourself Ao' ive got a surprise for u" he says blocking my lips from his with his finger. He grabs my hand and leads me over to a patch of grass with an Ikran on it "this is my Ikran Illa, we're going for a fly, I know you have always wanted to" he says pulling me up to sit in front of him. " cant I sit behind you Tey" I ask " no Ao' ive got to make sure you don't fall off, dont worry I'll hold onto you" he says putting his arm around my waist and instructing his Ikran to fly " shit Tey this is very high, were are we going?" I ask " just keep yourself steady and youll see ma Ao'" he says holding me even tighter. We fly over to a floating mountain, he tells me to close my eyes as he pulls me off Illa, holding my hand dragging me over to a flat surface. He lets go and I hear some scurrying around me " keep your eyes close Ao'" he says " ok, but what are you doing, were are we?" I ask. He comes over and walks behind me tracing his hands up my back and up to my shoulders "you can open your eyes now my love" he says. I slowly open my eyes to see many sea shells and flower arranged in a big heart " oh my Eywa this is beautiful Tey, when did you do this?" I ask my jaw on the ground looking at the beauty my boyfriend created "I did it this morning, just for you ma Ao'" he whispers in my ear before turning me around holding his finger under my chin to lift it up, he kisses me, at first it was soft and slow, but then it got very quickly heated to the point were I was pushed down on the ground in the middle of the flower and sea shell heart onto my back, with Neteyam on top of me, his knees on either side of my waist. Sitting up I pull him down to sit on my legs my hands around his waist while his are around my neck making out very hard, I think this is the time. I pull away both breathing very heavily " you know these mountains are the closest us reef Na'vi can get to eywa?" I say out of breath " I know thats why I brought you here my love" he says kissing me again "I want you, I want all of you" I say turning him around and onto his back getting on top of him the same way as he was with me before.
