"Monday, 10:00am, you have a meeting with Mr. Laignel, the CEO of Gould Corporation. Then after that, 3:00pm, you have an appointment with Mrs. Miller. And also—"
"Thomas," I said, "I want to go home."
"Why? May masakit ba sa'yo? I'll drive you home."
"No. It's not what I mean. I want to go home... Hindi sa bahay, kundi sa Pilipinas."
He paused for a while, "Are you sure about that?" he asked and I nodded. I know he was shocked because for the first time in forever, I am the one who's asking him to go back to the Philippines.
"Okay. Just prepare your things. I will handle everything."
"Good."
I've been living here in America for almost three years. And I think it's time for me to go home, to go back, and to face everything.
